The game can be kind of annoying until you get your first settlement up and running, so maybe five hours of play.
But the music "pop" radio station's pretty great for old music and some very clever originals (like Uranium Fever). And they pepper news about what you've been doing into the broadcasts.
Overall, there's just a lot of fun little things that make me smile. But I know it's not for everyone.

So, that's most games. Now, if you're talking Mac or Linux, that's another issue. I'm really holding out hope that Steam can get everyone onboard with their push for Linux releases, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
However, the Steam Controller is awesome once it's tweaked so that scratched any issue I had with not owning a console.

I read yesterday that Erdogan and Putin might be talking about the same area, even though one calls it Syria and the other Turkey.
Apparently that little finger of land was given to Turkey way back when, like after one of the wars or something, and Syria never recognized or accepted the decision.
So it might have been "Turkish" territory, but Putin might be agreeing with Assad that it's still "Syrian" territory.
Also, another report says the Russian jet was over "Turkish" territory for exactly 17 seconds before it was shot down. That's not even enough time to give someone a chance to fix the problem.

I beg to differ. They had a lot of innovations over the years necessary to create the themes they were going for. They always had bad as wheels. They rarely used stock tanks. Finally if you don't like the bikes that's fine but to hate on them personally is weak. They are an example of the American dream and they always were grateful and gave back. Especially to the military.

The speed was considered revolutionary when he started the Bob Ross Method. Usually a "quick" oil painting took about a week because of needing to let the paint dry between layers, while he contended that a relaxed view of the end result (it only needed to be pleasant, not perfect) and not worrying about showing fine detail meant that a normal person could persue painting as a hobby in their limited free time. There's a reason he didn't do portraits and "fine" art, but there was no doubt he certainly was a competent painter.

They're probably an overseas call center using phone number spoofing softphones to call people.

Yeah, this is a scam and it works like this: they'll propose send you a "walmart money gram" for $10K, and then ask you to wire them the $3K difference. Wire transfers are pretty much like taking cash out of the till, the money is immediately gone from your account, not like writing a check or doing one of those ACH transactions which may take days to complete. So the scammers get your money immediately, and the "wal mart money gram" will turn out to be, get this, fake.

A flash mob hit a designer store in Georgetown Tuesday evening and stole $13,000 worth of items, according to D.C. Police.

I was actually sitting taking the final when it hit me, "oh, I'm finding the tangent and the area under the curve".

I hate cell phones and will never give up my landline. I am tired of having to listen to crappy audio, echos, delays, etc., my old ears simply cannot handle the degraded cell phone signals.
The audio on my landline sounds halfway decent, and I'll gladly fight the spam callers.

My 'phone is for me to make outgoing calls. Not to accept incoming calls. All the people I call are in my contact list, and incoming calls from people not in my contact list are ignored.
It is very rare that I accept an unknown incoming call, and it is always a wrong number.

I agree. My problem is that my ears don't filter sound well, which means I hear too much. On a cell call, it's much harder for some reason to filter out background noises... otherwise known as the world.
So I have a landline. For outgoing calls ONLY. If it rang, which it never does, I wouldn't answer it.

Well, it exists for sure. And I'm not ... that young (well, depends on your perspective I s'pose). But my younger brother (6 years younger) and his friends don't even have voicemails set up on their phones.
And my brother almost never answers his phone, even though hes glued to it 24/7. Phones aren't really a thing anymore. Text is where it's at. It's almost like we've gone back in time to the days of letter writing. Just with emojis and lots of misspellings.

Reading a text is more efficient than voicemail. It's much quicker if you are talking about actually conveying information.
Half the voicemails I get are from my mom saying 'call me'. I already know she called because my phone says 'missed call'.

I'd say good not great.
It works well enough to get the gist, even with strong accents. If it's important, I call back. if not, I ignore it anyways.
I have a toothless french canadian accented Mainer friend who is damned near impossible to understand, especially when hes drunk (which he usually is) and google voice manages to figure out what he's saying in voicemails, so... I'd say it passes the "accent" test.

Well, it exists for sure. And I'm not ... that young (well, depends on your perspective I s'pose). But my younger brother (6 years younger) and his friends don't even have voicemails set up on their phones.
And my brother almost never answers his phone, even though hes glued to it 24/7. Phones aren't really a thing anymore. Text is where it's at. It's almost like we've gone back in time to the days of letter writing. Just with emojis and lots of misspellings.

Meanwhile, late to the topic, but Russia's reaction to Turkey's curious action was predictable and seems to be occurring: hammer Turkey's proxies/ethnic allies in Syria. Which might have been on the menu anyway (some pressure was clearly already planned, that's what the Russian aircraft were doing when the incident occurred).
There may well be other responses, the sort that don't make the "news".
But Putin has plenty of available options without opening up any new or harrowing fronts with Turkey. And yes, this was pretty obvious yesterday, and I was sort of amazed at the level of alarm over "WWIII" etc. Turkey's action/provocation was all about what's going on in Syria - Russia's responses will most likely also be centered around Syria.
