EMT 11/14/15 Hysteria. [krakatoa]

I'm old enough to remember when college was a place where you could dress up in a toga and not be accused of stealing someone else's culture.

Things really went downhill after the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.

3 Good Morning Morons. Today is Saturday, November 14, 2015. On this date in 1995 the first of the phony government shutdowns occurred because Bill Clinton vetoed Republican spending bills twice. Of course the MFM blamed Gingrich and the Republicans and still do even though it was totally Clinton's fault. And then they had the utter gall to give Clinton credit for "triangulating" and cutting the budget. The only thing triangulated was Gingrich with congressional Democrats with a veto proof bill. There never was an actual spending cut. It was another one of those smoke and mirrors budgets that cut spending at some point that happened "down the road".

I don't know the details but I do understand why that ruling happened.

The claim is that Sandusky wasn't doing the molesting as an employee. He had already retired. Of course they have to ignore those claims that he had molested some while an employee but there's not enough proof so he got his pension back.

47 I haven't investigated it, but it seems these sanctuary cities, and states, get a financial bonus by having 100,000 illegals. TX was going to shift some costs to Houston from the state, as part of the penalty for being a sanctuary city.

That same short sightedness happens when they give teachers early retirement, so they get bonuses at the end and retire at their highest pay level, but the city gets to hire two teachers for the cost of that old overpaid one. So the teacher retires at 55 and starts collecting those golden benefits ... but IL gets loaded with the $100B debt.

So these cities like inviting in illegals as they draw various state and government aid, and prop up the city's economy, despite the crime and murder they bring with them. And the COCs also like the cheap nannies, lawn guys, etc. Bunch of traitors.

100 Obama says he will not speculate about who is responsible for the Paris attacks, Yelling Alah Acbar while exploding bombs doesn't mean a thing people.
__________________________

Notice how when it's a Muslim terror attack, Obama always wants to "withhold judgment" and says he "won't speculate" on who is responsible (see, e.g., Ft. Hood attacks, Charlie Hebdo attack, Paris attacks, etc.).

But when it's a white person (or "white hispanic" person), Obama can't wait to assign blame. In the Cambridge incident involving his buddy Skippy Gates -- "I don't know all the facts, but it's clear the police acted stupidly." In the Trayvon Martin shooting, he talked about how tragic it was that young black men who look "like the son I might have had" can be slain for nothing more than walking while black. And he couldn't wait to condemn "the politics of hate" and right-wing extremists for the Tucson shootings.

Obama is such a f*cking hypocrite.

101 Was listening to Dan Carlin last night, after staying up too late reading Paris news.

This one was called King of Kings and is about the ancient Middle East. Babylon, Assyria, the Elamites, etc.

One bit that caught my imagination was how they would conquer a city and humiliate them by taking their idols. In many cases they couldn't even rebuild without having the idol back to bless and protect them.

So of course it got me thinking how I wish we could just grab the Kabba moon rock and keep that hostage. I wonder how that might change matters? Chill the fk out or we eject it to space? We could keep it on a Kentucky pig farm maybe.

123 "violent extremist" is morally equated with the tea party and veterans and Christians, in the minds of many leftists, and college student idiots. The PC war is against US, by the left.

It was pathetic when Bush did it, telling Christian America not to act out against American Muslims, but it deliberate action by the leftists. They need to keep their PC flock upset about all religions, fearing traditional Americans as much as jihadis.

They only need to compare Western development under Christianity with pretty much any Muslim country. But as Paris surrendered their no go zone suburbs to the Muslims, America surrendered its colleges and media to the commies. A long cultural fight is ahead, with our PC commies willing to call Christian Americans potential "violent extremists".

176 I keep thinking that, like Wm. T Sherman said, it won't be enough to militarily defeat the Muzz but that they must be made to feel themselves defeated. I can think up different ways that could be done, of varying degrees of realism, but they're all awful. When this all started I suspected we'd have to go much further than we're accustomed to. Short of nukes, it'll have to be a combination of the March to the Sea and how the Romans destroyed Carthage.

As some of us here know, our little community is blessed with one of those NextDoor Inc. social media websites.

Since the Mizzou Misfire and particularly since the events of last night......crickets.

The drop off in comment rate seemed to have actually right around the time that a California NextDoor Inc. post went viral where someone suggested that the people who stole a poster's bike really shouldn't be referred to as criminals, as it dehumanized them. And has accelerated in the last few days.

191 >>So Cruz is getting a pass on joining Choom Boy's "Nukes For Iran" posse because he is, at long last, complaining about immigration from the M.E.?

>>Bizarre.

I really wish we could kill this nonsense once and forever.

Obama had a strategy for killing the INTERNATIONAL SANCTIONS (all caps for emphasis because a lot of people seem to think this was purely a US/Iran situation) and that strategy was to go first to the UN SC, the very same people who were part of the negotiating team that agreed to the deal, for their vote on accepting the deal.

In other words, it was a rigged game. The US Congress had no, zip, zilch, zero, say in this process. It was a done deal by the time it got to them.

Do you really thing Ted Cruz, a Constitutional scholar, among others did not realize what was going on here? Days after the UN SC agreed to this deal Russia, China and all of the EU countries involved including France and Germany, had representatives in Iran doing deals. Russia was focused mainly on weapons. China agreed to build a nuke plant for Iran. Everyone who has been following this process knew exactly what was going to happen because Obama was telegraphing for over a year.

The process in the US was irrelevant for this deal and it doesn't matter how many blog posts are done hammering the Congress. This was an Obama deal and he owns it 100%.

No he did not. I'm not the biggest Cruz supporters but he did nothing of the kind. I really can't believe anyone, like him or hate him, would accuse Cruz of standing with the Muslim horde.

They were trying to find some way to force Obama to bring the issue to the Senate. It was a Hail Mary with very little chance of working but they at least made an attempt.

Obama is a lawless, out of control asshole who has shown that he will break the law and do things on his own whenever he feels like it and will force others to reign him in. We have watched him do this stuff for the last 6+ years and it is what he did here. Unfortunately, by the time some of his stuff is reigned in it is too late.

All you have to do to break an international sanctions agreement is present some deal to our international partners that gives them cover. Thats what the Iran deal was all about. Once every other country folded on the sanctions it was irrelevant what we did. Russian weapons kill and Chinese nuke plants can help build bombs.

I'm sorry but this idea that a bunch of bloggers are seeing things that guys like Cruz are missing is just silly.

There was once a civilization that was the greatest in the world.

It was able to create a continental super-state that stretched from ocean to ocean, and from northern climes to tropics and deserts. Within its dominion lived hundreds of millions of people, of different creeds and ethnic origins.

One of its languages became the universal language of much of the world, the bridge between the peoples of a hundred lands. Its armies were made up of people of many nationalities, and its military protection allowed a degree of peace and prosperity that had never been known.

Geller has a scathing piece, of course.

excerpts:
...
Despite all this horror, the European Union elites are bringing into Europe millions of these savages. I have warned for years about this coming jihad. For doing so, I was attacked, smeared, and marginalized. We were right about it all, and yet still my colleagues and I are blacklisted. Hundreds are dead, and the war has just begun. We did everything in our power to save lives. But the political, media, and academic elites aligned with the savages. And now hundreds more are dead in Paris -- and you ain't seen nothing yet.

...

Incredibly, Obama said today that the Islamic State (ISIS) is not getting stronger: "we have contained them." He is either in an early stage of dementia or he is one of them. I submit that it is the latter. In either case, Americans must be ready: lock and load. It's not just in Paris, it's here: Garland, Texas, Chattanooga... yesterday, an Ohio Muslim was arrested for plotting to kill U.S. soldiers and bomb churches and schools.

"I'll be proud when I shed American blood," Muslim convert Terrence McNeil said, according to prosecutors. He allegedly posted messages advocating jihad against the United States: "I would gladly take part in an attack on this murderous regime and the people." This was one of their jihad fighters in the US. And Ohio is crawling with them.

These are not idle threats. This is a world war.

It's coming here. Stop Muslim migrant immigration. Now.

I just get angry at how the MSM and politicians intentionally emphasize the "grieve" and "pray" parts in order to drown out the messier, more difficult "fight back" part (which is why Boston Strong bugs me).

No one wants to offend by showing anger, wanting justice for a brutal attack, an act of war. Better to celebrate the strength of the survivors and the victims' families (which makes everyone feel good about caring so much) than name the enemy. Nope, that would require less than admirable feelings (desire for revenge, violence against the terrorists) and tangible action.

I got a call on my cell phone from my Congressional Representative (Tipton-R,CO). He apologized for this being a "fundraising" call. I deflected that part of the call and we proceeded to have a substantive conversation for about 15 minutes.

He told me that he thinks Paul Ryan is a strategic thinker and will be effective as Speaker. He said the House has prepared legislation repealing several key elements of O-care as part of a reconciliation package that only needs 51 votes to clear the Senate. I mentioned that unless they actually get it to the president's desk there is no point. I told him that in seven years BHO has only used his veto 5 times. He said, "No, four". I said, "No five, there was another one at the end of October". He said, "Oh, yeah, you're right."

There was more to the conversation, mostly about healthcare. I'm not holding my breath in expectation.

There was also this.

I asked him what his strategy as a Congressperson was in response to the push for single payer in Colorado. (He said he had held a town hall meeting and pointed out to the attendees that if they hated O-care they would really hate single payer.) meh

I asked him if he thought the timing of CMS announcement of slashed funding for the health Co-Ops on October first, resulting in seven more failed Co-Ops mere days before the open enrollment period, was intentional in order to promote more dissatisfaction with O-care and heighten calls for single payer. (He mused that that was a possibility.) Hmm, ya think?

I gave him a specific anecdote about a young family that made a financial decision that led within three short steps to the death of their newborn infant as a direct result of Obamacare and suggested he use real life stories to push back against it. (He agreed that real people are being affected by coerced financial decisions).

All in all he was pretty reasonable in conversation, we'll see if there are any results. My checkbook is still closed.

IF migrants, refugees, illegal aliens go home voluntarily or not but go none the less, the suck on public finances, the unemployment rate dropping, crime dropping, doing away with constant terror threats will not be able to be denied and rationalized. It has to continue to keep conditioning the public to accept it as normal and to pay for it. It isn't and people are catching on. Finally.

What about Trump himself? On the surface, and maybe below it too, he seems the man most likely to profit from this horror. If that's true, I only hope he's up to it. I admit to being seriously disturbed by his recent comments about Ben Carson, accusing the doctor of psychopathy. It's not that he has to walk that back (although he certainly should). It's obvious that many of Donald's outrageous comments come from a position of insecurity. But now more than ever he should realize we're in serious times. If he wants the most important job in the world, he better act like he deserves it.

But here's one statement he really should walk back at this point. In fact it's mandatory if he wishes to take office. I'm referring to his casual remark that he'd let Putin handle ISIS if he wishes. He'd be doing us a favor.

How does that look now, Donald? Not so hot, I know. ISIS -- and related groups -- are, sad to say, the number one responsibility of the president of the United States. No one else is going to do it ultimately. If you're not willing to take that on, pass the baton to someone who is. Marco Rubio is one idea. He's young and green, but seems to be about as clear-eyed as anybody about the enemy.

But if you want to prove you are the right commander-in-chief, here's an idea for you, Donald. Get on one of your private jets and fly to Paris. Act presidential, even if the actual president doesn't. Try to figure out what to do about this growing terror threat that is going to be the major problem of the next administration. Educate yourself and show real interest. Gain all the knowledge you can. And if you want to have some fun in the midst of this dreadful situation, make fun of Obama for concentrating on climate change while the world burns. You might even ask him for his science grades.

But keep this in mind most of all, if you want that job. Tonight, from a jihadi on Twitter: "The American blood is the best blood and we will taste it soon." Trust me -- they mean it.

Hawaii Is Holding an Election That Only Allows People of Certain Racial Background to Vote

It's bad enough having a state hold an election that is racially discriminatory. Now we have a judge willing to allow it to move forward.

That would be federal district court Judge J. Michael Seabright (a George W. Bush appointee, surprisingly enough). He's refused to issue an injunction to stop an election in Hawaii to set up a separate government that excludes anyone who doesn't meet the state's definition of "Native Hawaiian."

Seabright's deplorable decision in Akina v. State of Hawaii is on an emergency appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals--which, unfortunately, doesn't always seem to believe in following Supreme Court precedent.

Well, um, if you look at the people who are doing all of this killing, THEY THEMSELVES proudly and openly and consistently call themselves "The Islamic State", so why does the U.S. government not simply use that nomenclature?

It's because that name contains the unspeakable truth which the Obama crew are desperate to obfuscate: that all of this horrific terror has Islam as a tap root.

Hence: repeated rotating references to "IS", "ISIS", "ISIL", "Daesh", and the various other acronymic circumlocutions.

Posted by: artisanal 'ette at November 14, 2015 09:13 AM (qCMvj)

Rubio is the continued failed strategies of the past. My plan:

1. All Muslim immigration and refugee entry halted...permanently
2. All non-citizen Muslims leave when their visa/green card expires. If it doesn't expire, they leave within one year.
3. Limited relations with Muslim countries.
4. Any US Muslims even breathing about sharia get citizenship revoked and deported.
5. All Mosque sermons have to be in English

We do all of that and how much of a threat will Muslims be in the US?

Keep in mind that the Left created all this. Their policies, their political terrorism has led to all this.

Now, I'll list the 7 Official Stages Of Terrorist Attacks in the Age Of obama:

1. the attack
2. the chaos
3. the righteous condemnation of these "surprise out-of-nowhere" attacks
4. the harrumphing
5. the blame on Republicans and those on the Right
5. the calls for unity and healing
6. the celebration of first responders
7. the call for more funding for first responders (bigger, more controlling government)

As you can clearly see, these terrorist attacks by ISIS or whoever all result in the Left gaining more power and the Right being shamed. Terrorism to terrorism, in other words.

Bush "took on Islamic terrorism" by declaring Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, cornerstones of financing and organizing international Islamic terrorism for decades, to be America's "trusted allies in the War On Terror".

How'd that work out again? Oh! It was an abject fiasco.

Not to mention Bush's absolute prohibition, relayed by Gen. Tommy Franks in his memoirs, that American forces were never under any circumstances allowed to fire on mosques. Not even if American commanders had absolutely conclusive imaging intelligence showing that Osama bin Laden had just gone inside one. (The words of General Franks himself on that.)

Again: a fiasco. An unmitigated fiasco.

The last and only U.S. Presidents to deal forcefully with Islamic terrorism was Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, and they didn't deal with the muzzies forcefully enough.

Huzzah!

Today, the Federal Trade Commission announced it had shut down several tech support scammers that bilked consumers for more than $17 million.

According to the complaint filed in a federal court in Philadelphia, a number of operations all using the name Click4Support in some capacity have been scamming victims since at least 2013.

The scammers would place ads on websites that appeared as popup warnings that a virus or malware had been detected on the computer. The popups instructed users to call the phone number listed to resolve the issue. The scammers boiler room tech support staff would field those calls, misleading callers into believing they were employed by or affiliated with companies like Apple, Microsoft, Google, or Dell. Callers were asked to give the tech support scammers remote access to their computers so they could investigate. Invariably, the telemarketer would then find all sorts of errors and failures that they said was evidence of a problem.

Doctor: We've got all your test results back.

Doctor: Well, it seems that there is a radical group of deranged cells that have gotten into your bloodstream.

Patient: How far has it spread?

Doctor: Well, there seem to be substantial collections of these diseased cells in all the major organs of your body.

Patient: What can you do about it?

Doctor: Well, we have to spread them out so the effect isn't concentrated in a single area, We're going to transport them to organs that haven't been affected yet.

Patient: Can it be eliminated?

Doctor: Well, our current treatment strategy has them on the run. This isn't a top tier disease, it's more like the JV team of diseases.

Patient: So this is cancer, right?

Doctor: Well, we don't call it cancer, because that might offend pre-cancerous cells. We call it Interstitial Somatic Invasion Syndrome, also known as... well you can do the acronym yourself.

Patient: Can we at least use some potent chemotherapy to combat it?

Doctor: No, that might damage some of the healthy tissue, can't risk that.

Patient: So what's the prognosis?

Doctor: You're gonna die. The good news though is that we've lined up James Taylor to sing at your funeral.

Remember when he instituted those ludicrous rules of engagement in Afghanistan and Iraq, that basically made our guys target practice for Muslim scumbags -- because we don't want to risk offending anybody while we're sacrificing our guys' lives and spending billions of dollars of our money trying to make the Muslims' countries better for them.

Big scandal in the intelligence community that made no real dent in the MSM. Just like every other scandal, move on, nothing to see.

So, we live in times where we have to wonder: is it that we didn't connect the dots, or that the person who would normally do this was told that said dots are irrelevant because we are looking for the right political narrative instead of the truth?

The next day, whoever is left will be packed and gone, looking for some other place that welcomes refugees.

There won't be anyplace.

It won't stop until people feel safe in their own hometowns.

As it should be.

Actually, the American forces first into Afghanistan didn't take much armor along, and then later on when the Canucks deployed, they showed up with shiny new Leopard 2 Advanced models.

It didn't take long before the American units were saying, "Gee whiz, Wally, those things ARE awfully handy to have around. We shoulda brought some."

There were a bunch of engagements where Johnny Jihadi figured he and his crew were safely holed up outside of the effective range of weapons available to a particular Western firebase, and that the weather was shitty enough to prevent tactical air from flying, where JJ and his pals then got themselves bagged by Leopard main gun fire.

Posted by: Ricardo Kill at November 14, 2015 09:37 AM (lLkXg)

Last night I watched the misty eyed Geraldo talking on the phone to his daughter in France who was understandably upset and scared. In his best sing song , I"m talking to a five year old voice, he said "Daddy is coming to pick you up, there was a plane ready tonight(Roger Ailes?) but the French airspace is closed".
So ok, I can understand the emotion, etc. The segment went on and on, and as it did, I had this growing irritation that Fox and Geraldo were pimping this.
So this morning, I turn on Fox to see Geraldo back on the curvy couch, this time with another daughter, and once again, they are talking by phone to daughter in France. Geraldo is misty eyed once again listening to her recount her story AGAIN. Daughter on couch reaches for Geraldo's hand as he gets more emotional.

Geraldo and Fox turned my stomach. This was theatre, not first hand news reporting.

I 've been watching CNN instead. Most of the reporting has been on scene and very matter of fact.
