1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Thursday, November 12, 2015. On this day in 1927 Leon Trotsky was expelled from the Soviet Communist Party, leaving Joseph Stalin in undisputed control of the Soviet Union. He was later executed by agents of Joe Stalin in Mexico.

Looks like Obama is continuing his illegal plan to close GITMO and move the prisoners to US soil. Well, impeachment is off the table, government defunding is off the table, and Obama can do any damn thing he wants because we have no opposition Party.

And now he has added SC to a possible State to house these vermin. Nikki Haley has publically told him she will not allow these people in SC. I would love to see her dispatch State Marshalls to arrest Obama's goons.

4 In fact he just held the biggest release of federal prisoners in US history when he let go 6,000 federal inmates. Probably 99% of them will be committing crimes within a month and most will eventually make it back to jail.

5 And Fox contributor who is profiting from this massive release has a new term for Obama's pen and phone.

On October 30th, the Justice Department will begin releasing 6,000 inmates early from prisons around the country as part of a bipartisan effort that comes with sweeping new sentencing guidelines for nonviolent drug crimes.

So Obama's pen and phone is now a bipartisan effort eh?

Can't even manage a meaningless fake vote:

Senate Republicans are divided over how far to go with an ObamaCare repeal bill that they plan to send to the presidents desk. Senate GOP leaders have told their members they will repeal as much of the 2010 healthcare reform law as possible, BUT some Republicans are balking at a proposal to repeal the expansion of Medicaid.

Sen. Shelley Moore Capito [R-West Virginia] said "I am very concerned about the 160,000 people who had Medicaid expansion in my state. I have difficulty with that being included."

"I respect the decision of our legislator and our governor on Medicaid expansion," said Sen. Steve Daines (R-Montana) "Im one who respects their rights and voices."

Sen. John Hoeven (R-North Dakota) said...and so on.

91 Had you ever considered taking a complete break from any news or this website for an entire week, doing things you enjoy (I know that you have to work, but other things).

Your first Theda Bara mystery came yesterday but I didn't know that until my son found it while waiting for the bus this morning. I have read about ten pages so far. Thank you for your talent. :^)

God bless you.Posted by: FenelonSpoke at November 12, 2015 06:57 AM (No/ki)
Thank you for your thoughts, FS. I do apologize for harshing your mellow this morning, but sometimes I need to get the vitriol out of the way first thing. I really do come off as the second coming of Robespierre, don't I?You know, it's a funny thing about "unplugging," and I wonder if it contributes to some of the problems we find ourselves in. It's very easy - seductive, even -to be a LIV and presume that our little corner of the world will go on as it does. But the problem with that is that our "betters" continue down their path, making our lives more onerous and our tax burden more unsustainable. It's incumbent on all of us to be plugged in, to know what's being done behind our backs. And yet. . .your advice is sensible. I don't know how people like Mark Levin or Ann Barnhardt can keep from killing themselves, being neck-deep in the sewage that is the modern world.Thank you for your kind thoughts about The Director's Cut. I do hope you enjoy it. And may I ask you to leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads, if you're able to? I would deeply appreciate it.

Ithaca College is where rich kids who are to

stupid to get into Cornell go.

Two things:

Ithaca (the city, not the college) was the site of the Wharton studio, which produced a lovely little serial called "Beatrix Fairfax," named after the newspaper advice column. In it, each week Beatrix would get a letter requiring her help as well as that of her sidekick, gee-whiz reporter Jimmy Barton. Sometimes the problem was of a lovelorn nature; other times, it was criminal. But the series was shot in Ithaca and gives a nice little glimpse into the place in 1916. If you're interested, you can see episodes on YouTube.

Remembering the discussion we had yesterday about grads from Harvard or Yale always bringing up their alma maters, I recall a fellow I know who was a Cornell grad and always managed to bring that up into conversation before I finally told him, "Cornell's the ITT Tech of the Ivy League."

The doc at MUSC was the closest doc that was set up to do the test that the local doc here wanted. And then he didn't even run it. And it sounded like his mind was made up to do something else before we even went down there. Now he wants a three day procedure in the hospital. And yeah, he is a "specialist". U.S. Contractor's Cranes Being Used to Hang Iranians

Cargotec has received more than $1 billion in government contracts

A European machinery company that has received more than $1 billion in U.S. government contracts is coming under scrutiny after pictures emerged this week of its cranes being used to publicly execute individuals in Iran.

The company, Cargotec, acknowledged to the Washington Free Beacon on Wednesday that its equipment is being used to publicly hang Iranian prisoners, but maintained that it is not responsible for directly selling the equipment to the Islamic Republic.

Rush is from Missouri, so I'm sure he is especially interested in the trainwreck that is going on down there. I think Ferguson proved to the SJWs that the governor and other authorities down there are spineless, so they're taking advantage of it.

As I said last night, it's a pity that the more sensible students don't simply surround the SJWs and mock the special snowflakes. I think that if that caught on and the "cool" thing became jeering at them as crybullies, the whole thing would collapse.

But the sensible ones are afraid or apathetic or just not organized. Too bad, because their U of Mo degrees are rapidly becoming devalued.

As an undocumented immigrant, Vergara has been able to get treatment and dialysis for her kidney failure under the federally-funded Emergency Medical Assistance program. The program, however, does not cover organ transplantation, leaving the family responsible for covering the cost of the procedure.

203 "I feel like across Missouri, parents of high school seniors are ripping
U.Missouri applications out of their hands and saying, 'Oh, hell no.'"

Consider the case of Mike "Gentle Giant" Brown, after his new career as an aspiring rapper and felony-strong-arm-robbery artiste was tragically cut short by racist white police who fatally shot him in the back as he was running away after having dindu nuffins, using special racist white bullets that left no entry wounds in his back.

His loudly and conspicuously grieving family (who had shown little real interest in him while he was actually, y'know, alive) said that the late Mike had been "going to university to study engineering".

Which turned out to be his having expressed a vague verbal interest in maybe one day applying to the shady local unaccredited fast-buck trade school for a quickie certificate course as an HVAC tech.

(Not to crap down the necks of HVAC techs, as most of us like being at a comfortable temperature, but this is not what most of us think of as engineering qua engineering, nor is such a school a university qua university.)

But at today's Miz-zoo campus? Mike Brown would fit right in! You can be sure there are legions of new-generation Mike Browns all over the state who are getting ready with their applications.

In one of the final gasps of sanity in Commiefornia some years ago, the state's voters passed Prop 187 to shut off the flow of freebies to illegals. It never even had a chance to take effect before a federal judge imperiously waved a hand from the bench and nullified it.

Christian Consumer Group Launches 'BUYcott' in Time For Holiday Shopping Season

(CNSNews.com) -- Faith Driven Consumer, a Christian organization that rates businesses and brands according to their embrace of Christians and their values, has launched a new campaign to allow shoppers to have a voice during the Christmas gift-buying season.

"ChristmasBUYcott.com builds on last week's launch of the 2016 Faith Equality Index," a press release announcing the campaign stated. "The Faith Equality Index annually rates, on a 100-point scale, how well brands acknowledge Faith Driven Consumers (FDCs) by welcoming, embracing, and celebrating them."

The index ranks corporations and businesses on a scale from 0 to 100 on a wide range of "scorecard" issues, ranging from using the word "Christmas" in its advertising, to public support from legislative, judicial and/or regulatory protections for religious liberty and incorporating Christianity as a recognized category of corporate diversity.

Charles Koch and His Money are Sitting Out the GOP Primary

Billionaire Charles Koch said he is unlikely to support a candidate in the U.S. presidential primary race but is likely to help a Republican in the November 2016 general election, USA Today reported on Wednesday.

"I have no plans to support anybody in the primary now," Koch told USA Today.

"If they start saying things we think are beneficial overall and will change the trajectory of the country, then that would be good, but we have to believe also they'll follow through on it, and by and large, candidates don't do that," he told the paper.

Sen. Bernie Sanders is the overwhelming favorite of American humanists in the 2016 presidential race, according to results of a poll released Tuesday by the Center for Freethought Equality. The CFE is a lobbying organization associated with the American Humanist Association. The AHA describes humanists as individuals who do not have theistic or other supernatural beliefs, and believe the greater good of humanity can be achieved through ethical behavior.

According to the online poll conducted by SurveyMonkey, Sanders has the backing of 73 percent of humanists surveyed. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is second with 21 percent. Donald Trump is the most-popular Republican among humanists, but he has the backing only about two percent.

The schools have taught this. They allow it. They foster it. They condone and acquiesce to it, and encourage it to come back again and again.

There are thousands of Melissa Click's out there, from the classrooms on up through administration, and they almost never pay a price and even more rarely lose their position that allows them to pollute the minds of youth with their radicalism.

I'd really like a presidential candidate to call out the disease that we're inflicting on ourselves.

Europe Slaps Discriminatory Labels on Israeli Products

Another ominous inroad for hate.

It's official: the European Union will be sending out guidelines to all 28 of its member states on how to label settlement products from Israel.

The move has been in the works for a while. In September the European Parliament voted 525-70 in favor of it. Israeli settlement products have been excluded from EU trade preferences since 2004.

This latest move, though, is something new.

Once it comes into effect, shoppers in any EU supermarket will see certain products labeled "Made in the West Bank" (Israeli settlement) or "Made in the Golan" (Israeli settlement).

They won't see such labels on products from any other of the world's 200 territories that are under dispute. Not, for example, Turkish products from Northern Cyprus. Not Chinese products from Tibet.

324 The real evil in the campus protests is the school, not the students.

Well, so much for Carson:

Ben Carson is blasting fellow Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's immigration proposals as outside the mainstream and impractical.

"I think they hurt Donald Trump in the long run," Carson said in an interview with the Washington Examiner published Thursday, referring to Trump's deportation plans.

"The people that are here, the 11.5 million people here, rounding them up and deporting them may sound good to some people," Carson told the Examiner on Wednesday. "But it's not pragmatic." "It also affects the farming industry, the hospitality industry. So, you know, we have to be pragmatic as a nation. There's no reason that they should have to live in the shadows," Carson said.

375 Using 1984 as a training manual, wasn't a mistake.

It was done on purpose.

Orwell was so insightful and able to express the core of what was happening with his creation of it and Animal Farm that we are only now understanding how fully the analogies he used applied so well.

Orwell was a visionary and could see into the future how the embryo radicals would grow and evolve from their current actions (of the '30's and '40's) into what they are now in a way that still allows us to understand and predict why and how they will modify their behavior.

I don't want him as president.

Carson is a genius neurosurgeon, but that's as far as it goes.

Barbara Streisand is a genius singer, but an idiot in just about everything else. I don't want her as president either.

Trump, on the other hand, is a generalist who has a proven ability to look at the world as it is and make decisions that work. He knows organization and the absolute necessity to delegate. Trump also has a strong sense of value and an ego that would make him want to accomplish things quickly and at a fair cost.

Fiorina has a lot of the same attributes, but she just doesn't have the "X" factor for people to like her - and people elect candidates they like.

.This is the part that certain States and Cities use to give ID's to Illegals. They used this crap when we used to live in CT. They Let Cities give ID's to illegals so they would come out of the shadows and be able to cash checks at banks and not have to use those check cashing services according to the SJW's. Also they claimed it would make illegals feel safe enough from deportation to go and buy auto insurance and they wouldn't drive around uninsured.

All it does is allow them to vote IMO, at least the ones who really want to. CT has an ID requirement to vote, and the Liberals wanted a way to get around that law for illegals. IIRC Stamford and one or two other Cities even lets them vote in local elections.

Following opening of retail pot stores in 2014, crime explodes in Denver during 2015Year-to-date
homicides in 2015 for the city are up an astonishing 62 percent (from
26 to 42 in the January-October time frame) over the same period during
2014. The number of rapes has increased 20 percent in Denver this year.
Robberies are up 13 percent, aggravated assaults are up 12 percent,
property crimes are up 5 percent, and total crimes have increased 6
percent.

Of course, this could be due to being a sanctuary city accepting all sorts of unaccompanied "minors" beginning last summer. Who knows?
Wonder if anyone in state government cares to find out the cause(s)?

The way to clean up the VA is to shut it down and hand the vets generously sized vouchers in its place.

(At current funding levels that would work out to about $85K/vet/year. So those would be big vouchers!)

Carson's big brainstorm on government reform is to make the Department of Education into a centralized monitor to keep tabs on campus radicalism. Yeah, as though THAT wouldn't be a wet dream for the institutional left once they got control of it.

As with the VA, the solution to the DeptEd is not to reform it but to abolish it. Campus radicalism will largely dry up and blow away once the lavish federal subsidization of the campuses is removed.

We were paying out of pocket for health insurance and taking care of 3 kids on less than $40k a year in Maryland, of all states. We fit into the the poverty line. I am just now finishing my 4 year degree (in a field that will, no doubt, get me jobs that pay more), and we were on WIC and food stamps. My wife kept applying for jobs, despite the fact that she was working a commission-based job (that paid shit, really) and also owns a horse stables (that doesn't make any money). So we kept trudging along for the last few months on public subsidies with help from family so that we could work because child care is too damn expensive (would cost us around $800 a week for our two youngest). We used the help because we needed it, and we won't need after Monday because she was offered a job. So the programs aren't there to encourage it. The problem is our culture encourages entitlement and getting the free stuff cuz it's free. So if you want a change, make sure your kids know that there's help when you need it, but to rely on no one but themselves.

462 Rickb223,
Coulter wrote that Trump said Ike deported one million, Ann added in next paragraph that for every one deported 10 self deported.

I'll have to do search on Operation Wetback.

Thank you.

463 I read it from Coulter column. I can't copy & paste on my iPad. I'm sure she had 1 million.
Maybe I was wrong.

I'll have to find link & reread it.

You were correct. It was over 1 million.

My conservative guess (and I admit it is a guess) is that the Federal Government "skim" to administer a program like the VA is on the order of 50%, same for Dept of Educmacashum and the EPA. (Think bureaucrat bonuses at VA, NOAA, and EPA)

Shutting them down would save billions in the short-term!

In fairness to Murdoch, Rubio didslide by Cruz to win that debate. Also in fairness to Murdoch, he's the man singularly responsible for breaching the Progressive movement's media wall and providing public accessibility to conservative and right-of-center viewpoints. I disagree withMurdoch all the time but--not that my opinion matters much--cut the old man an enormous amount of slack.

And what's with that 'The People' business, anyway? Is that a midget in your rucksack?

The last figure I saw put overhead at 44%, but that was several years ago.

I've seen that number exactly once. Wish I could remember who came up with it.

471 Then a simple bill in congress mandating a $10,000/day/illegal worker fine for any company found employing them.

There are already fines and penalties that don't get enforced.
Just identifying illegals to the employer and thus requiring rehires will get expensive enough to change their behavior. Why criminalize the CoC when all that's required is thwarting them.

475 Ignorance really is bliss. The more I read about the university brownshirts the more depressed and angry I become. These over-privileged babies have lives most can only dream of. Yet, presented with the opportunity that university represents, they create discord and division needlessly, and pointlessly, too ignorant even to understand what they do. They seek and exercise mindless brute force, yet still they screech victimisation.

Where exactly does LEARNING fit into the equation? Why are these imbeciles even AT university? Their 'politics' and actions - and the craven capitulation of the universities - insult those who seek to better themselves. God rot the lot of them.

(Speaking as a poor kid who was the first in his family to get a degree)

Why criminalize the CoC when all that's required is thwarting them.

It's not the CEO of Tyson that winds up in the clink it's the guy down the block running a lawn business. Or in my neighborhood the diner (who also admittedly had some fraud issues). Still closed.

"As an'anti-socialist' Trump supporter, how do you reconcile Trump's far-Left, socialistic stance on healthcare"

Great question. I plan to fund NHI through the seizure and liquidation of all left wing trust funds, NGOs and their personal assets. Let the socialists live up to their words through their pocket books. They will learn new hands on skills (foraging, hunting and prostitution) to enrich their lives as the spend times pondering in the camps.

480 "According to the online poll conducted by SurveyMonkey, Sanders has the
backing of 73 percent of humanists surveyed. Former Secretary of State
Hillary Clinton is second with 21 percent."

Never , ever doubt the faith of these Dems or any other (like Obama). They are really, really serious about their religion and belief in God. (which is how they manage to attract so many atheists). It is as sincere as their love for country and patriotism (which is how that always attract so many America -haters).

Wait...

Medicaid is similar to Caligula's "tax of one-twentieth of the value was levied on inheritances or legacies" except a lot more than 5%.

Here's the Ponzi. Force up health care cost. Force people to use this scientific infallible service that kills more than 268 people a day (medical misadventure). Take their property when they die. That's medicaid and that is why Obamacare expands the people it covers. More wealth to confiscate.
