This is one of the few times I agree with Islamic justice. Cut the hands off of some of these f*ckers, and the problem might go away.

I say 'internet' account because we have an account we use exclusively for internet shopping, where we keep a small balance, for limiting loss.

Getting the police interested might be a harder part, since CC companies (or LifeLock in our case) will just write it off and move on.

Chi, Lol. We need industrial strength Windex. Between the cat who is allergic to himself, and the Newfie, there is a lot of crap on the windows and walls. But we signed on for it, so I shouldn't really complain. The cuddles and kisses are absolutely worth it.

Especially since the Newf wakes me up every morning by gently bumping my face with his (he human kisses, when he thinks about it. When he forgets, he licks) He then turns his head to my glasses on the bedside table, and nudges them, because he has figured out I can't get out of bed without them. Makes my morning, every day.

79 Never take your debit card out of your wallet unless you're taking cash from an ATM.

Even better, get an ATM only card if your bank offers it. If not that, set your POS limit to $0 (again, if your bank lets you).

Those debit cards are awful for the consumer. Even if you don't trust yourself with credit, a really low limit credit card is still much better than debit. You'll get you money back eventually if you're the victim of fraud if the debit card was run as credit (without a PIN), but they'll drag their feet and be a-holes about it.

Also NO on a local fire district to raise 3.75 million per year ongoing with property tax increase. They didn't say why they needed it and for a small rural fire district I could not see why they should need it.

*

While at my Mom's over the weekend, she got Time and National Geographic in the mail.

Time cover story was how everything delicious is bad for you. Mom & my & Milady had some good laughs about that over our breakfast bacon. (Mom's is the best!)

National Geographic was global warming all the way, including shrinking sea ice. I had to rant about the increased sea ice and the whole global warmening lie. Thanking the Moron Horde for keeping me well-informed.

Baby Sister got her the NatGeog subscription, she said, because Smithsonian wasn't good enough or something. Not Regressive enough, would be my thought.

On the bright side, Mom says that after being a subscriber for at least sixty years, she's going to drop Time - too little content for too much money. Told her about Newsweak going web-only and selling for $1.

Did I mention Mom's five years from being a centenarian? Still sharp and interested in everything. God, I hope I got that gene.

Or the guy who's now in charge of the budget for your office also did 10 years for embezzling millions from his last job, but shhhhhhh . . . it would be too impolite to inquire about that before hiring him.

You know what psychologists say is the single best predictor of someone's future behavior? Their past behavior.

But let's not ask any questions about somebody's past behavior when they're applying for a job. Because that would be non-PC, and slavish devotion to PC is so much more important than the co-workers' safety, or the security of the money/property that the government agency is in charge of, etc.

Separate banks, separate accounts. I have had this problem before.

I actually run multiple accounts, but part of that is my Grandpa's story about having ONE account in ONE bank that closed in FDR's bank holiday and never managed to open back up leaving him penniless when he had just lost a job.

Also if you want to be extra paranoid, if you think being garnished is possible in the future, never pay credit cards or other big debts from the same account you deposit your paycheck in.

164 Extraordinary conquerers

Read Romans: 8-37-39

(If I post it here it will take up too much bandwidth):

Consider what people dread most in life. The list could include things like war, betrayal, famine abandonment, poverty, pain and death. In his letter to the Romans, the apostle Paul presented a similar list. However, what Paul addressed as the most serious of all concerns is that facing tumultuous times could build a wall between God and those who believed in him. Turmoil could cut people off from God's love.

Jesus' followers in Rome were facing difficult times firsthand. Paul offered them comfort, encouragement, and hope by following his list of worst-case scenarios with the best news hey could deliver. No hardship in life could prevent God's love from reaching them and leading them to victory. When Paul wrote, "I am persuaded," he meant, "I am absolutely convinced.' You can stake your faith and your life on this.

The assurance of victory God promises through the words of Paul doesn't mean you'll get every job we apply for, always end your financial year in the black, never contact a fatal disease or avoid a marital breakup. God's promise of victory is specific to the role he's given you to fill in this life. As a believer, when faced with hard times, it won't be your intelligence, talents, or your perseverance that will eventually ensure your victory. It will be God's love, working through you to keep you close to Gods side and to help you rise above whatever has you down.

(Facing hard times can leads us to become more than victorious when we depend more on God and God's strength than our own.)

It is not like they actually care about what they are forcing unwilling people to do as long as they can force unwilling people to do something.

Wonder if we'll ever find out just how prevalent blackmail was during Obama's presidency. There are times when it seems to be the only reasonable explanation for strange behavior by GOP, SCOTUS, etc. Especially since we know the govt. has the means to monitor every part of one's life, if motivated to do so.

170 Separate banks, separate accounts. I have had this problem before.

Yeah, we have that now. One bank for direct deposits and keeping large balance. No internet connection to this whatsoever.

Second, 'internet' shopping account, low balance. Just enough to be comfortable losing. I actually thought throwing an extra grand into a savings account at this second bank would be safe, that I could push money into the debit card account as needed. I never imagined they would do it to cover an ISF transaction. I figured I'd get some say. I guess I'm dumb.

Actually, it's a good subject for a meditation if one imagines themselves in the picture. smelling the flowers or looking out the window and feeling a breeze or in one's imagination going out the door (not shown) and walking in the grass and feeling the sun on one's face and hearing birds. I often do that with Bible passages-imaging oneself in the scene but i don't see why a person couldn't take a fair amount of time just to "be" in the picture.

I used to think Choom Boy was blackmailing people right and left to get his way. Now, not so much.

My take is that keeping SCotUS, Boner, Bitch McConnell, Prince Reebus and the rest in line involves payoffs. Lots of carrots -- all paid for by the taxpayers or simply plucked from thin air -- and no sticks.

If the Mocha Messiah was blackmailing these people, I'd suspect some damaging info about him to be trickling (at least) out by now. When your enemy has effective defensive weapons, the best approach is to try to spiff 'em into compliance.

Cruz can't "walk back" his pathetic record in the Senate as a GOPe shill. When he bothers to show up.

Just two votes (or non-votes) do it for me: Cruz was away pimping for money when the TPP vote came up, and he voted for the treasonous Corker "compromise" that gave us Choom Boy's Nukes-For-Iran program.

His yammering about ramping up H1Bs and his whining about Bitch McConnell ("he snookered me!!11!!") are just frosting on the turd for me.

I think he is a good guy. Did he turn out to be a great RNC at the national level? No. But going into the last election, he had come off turning our state legislature Republican, getting a Republican elected as Governor, and putting the Tea Party at the big boy's table. When he worked here in Wisconsin, he pulled a lot of rabbits out of the Progressive hat. Did it translate into a 2012 win for Romney. Obviously not. Did I have a crystal ball? Obviously not. Would I kick him in the shins if he was in line ahead of me at Pick 'n Save? Still thinking that one through.

307 Some of his support may be shallow, but then again you could probably say that about any candidate. What I've noticed is that his polling numbers are still high despite his missteps.

---------

True, but he is such a unique candidate. I have not doubt that many of his supporters have a deep liking to him. But it isn't hard to think that many just like him because of his name and fame and are willing to support him now, but may not once they actually have to vote. With both type of supporters missteps are going to hurt him like they may more traditional candidates.

I outlines the pluses but I don't think having Carson as a Veep is pandering.

He won't ask him just for the votes, I think he sees the balance that would be created. They are similar but different.

That's what you want in a working partner, someone to balance you're weaknesses.

Carson would be a great front man and could head up all sorts of panels deciding how to get out of the mess we've been put in.

They've already shown a propensity for cooperation and mutual respect.

His having Carson as Veep would cause the country to actually believe we can heal our differences and they would be voted in with the largest majority ever.

but that's just me wish casting.

"Jennifer Roberts Charlotte transgender"

She really does have a number of masculine facial features, such as a prominent brow ridge. Wikipedia doesn't list her as transgendered, so she probably is just an unfortunate woman.

There is no denying that Hitler had a profound effect on how people who lived through his era (such as Isaac Asimov) looked at the world.

To return to the subject of alternate history Hitler, Norman Spinrad wrote a very weird book titled "The Iron Dream". The most interesting part was the preface where it claimed that the book was written by Adolf Hitler. According to the preface, after his discharge from the army at the end of WW I, Hitler dabbled in radical politics for a brief period before emigrating to America. In New York he found the success as an artist that had eluded him in Europe by doing covers for pulp science fiction magazines during the Golden Age. After he had been in the US for decades, he felt confident enough in his English language skills to write the book. As I said, the body of the book was quite weird.

4. He said: "I'm not going to confiscate guns."

Based on the above the obvious conclusion is that he intends to form a "shock troop" made up of gang members etc. to form the core of his internal security force - 'as large, well funded, and well trained as the military' to confiscate guns. I think he will be very disappointed with the outcome of that Federal program.

493 What happens is a company offers a benefit. Then as time goes by the company and others who followed suit lobby the gov't to make those benefits mandatory so that their competitors have the same monetary handicap.

That's how it's been done in the past. Business has been more destructive about citizens civil rights than the gov't ever has. Businesses have surrendered our rights to gov't without a fight.

Much of the problems with the laws are due to businesses lobbying for special favors and rent seeking at the expense of the taxpayer.

Corporate welfare is a bigger problem than welfare programs. (bigger because they are for profit companies that have no right to taxpayers money.)

One could get real paranoid and suspect that they will join the #BLM crowd, instigate widespread Ferguson-like riots that triggers intervention by police, requiring things like gun confiscation in effort to bring peace to our intentionally inflamed communities. Or something like that...

But there is a second reason for moving people around, and that is to foster revolution by actively promoting unrest. The goal is to achieve "fundamental transformation" of a country by tearing down existing structures, replacing them with a new order of government.

521 Tsrlbke: (and how did you come up with that nic?)

I use an ad blocker that blocks that graphic. So the only thing I see is the link to the Amazon Store.

So. That's the problem.

Now I can assuage my guilt of being unable to donate by using the Amazon Store. Good!

522 My son and daughter are millenials as are their friends. They don't trust Obama or any politicians. They feel that their futures are being robbed and they are right. Glad they get it but so sad at the same time.

I hate to be paranoid but all of the billions that OFA is collecting have to be for something.

Community Organizers are a bit like the Russian Commissars, keeping people linked into the Party by constant agitation.

That's my best guess, unless Obama just pockets the whole stash,-

a nationwide system of Commissars (Community Organizers) coupled with flashmob violence-

could literally change the country overnight.

And given the extreme cowardice of Our Betters, would flummox President Trump or whoever won besides Hillary!

If Hillary! wins, they would be used to push her farther and farther left.

Good times. Good times.

How do you say that in Arabic?

526 I was born and raised in rural OK and I can't stand country music either.

Born and reared in the great state of Alabama. Can't stand it either, except for a handful of certain people like Lyle Lovett, Jason Aldean, Vince Gill and Ricky Scaggs. Players, mostly. Not singers.

That's happened to me too, rickb, and, yes, it's super annoying. But it has only been a handful of times. Amazon Prime saved Christmas for me last year. That would seem to be the one time of year where they should get slammed by business traffic, but I did all last minute shopping and it all got delivered when they said it would.

I'm going to stop pimping for them. I feel dirty.

This is a tough month to ask. I saved a bunch of money and used a credit card (shudder) to buy a pistol (first since 40 years ago) so I had to make a big credit card payment.

I'll be eating peanut butter and crackers for most of the rest of the month.

I'll send you some prayers and good wishes.

I actually had that thought a few months ago with the Hispanic Invasion (sounds like a mariachi band).

They actually have started to hire illegal aliens as Police officers in some places (forget where).

What an opportunity for a nefarious and anti american that would be. Hire illegals to do the footwork of investigation and use them for shock troops for the seizure of someone's weapons.

They're allegiance won't be to the constitution. It will be to their employer.

Third world corruption and policing will finally come to the US.

534 Based on the above the obvious conclusion is that he intends to form a "shock troop" made up of gang members etc. to form the core of his internal security force - 'as large, well funded, and well trained as the military' to confiscate guns. I think he will be very disappointed with the outcome of that Federal program.

I remember Obama's comments about forming some sort of domestic peacekeeping force or some such thing, which was quickly sent down the memory hole. He can't possibly be that stupid. Such a force, presumably intended to disarm the citizenry, would be reduced to a large puddle of amino acids and component molecules in a matter of days.
