Both versions were filmed on the same sets, same days, with the English (Lugosi) version filmed during the day, the Spanish version at night. They had a much tighter schedule because of the limited hours available to them, but critics almost universally (pun intended) consider the Spanish version superior. I have the same dvd too, but haven't watched the Spanish one either.

I enjoy watching comments on AoS about it. That's as deep into it as I can get.
Just finished watching Star Trek Continues episode 5, "Divided We Stand," where Kirk and McCoy get thrust back into the US Civil War.
Always enjoy when commenters here re-fight the "unpleasantness." I learn something every time. Although there are things to argue about in this episode (esp for those who don't think much of Lincoln), I thought in most ways in this show they did a good job. We sure did lose a lot of good humanity.
ST Continues is the best of the Trek OS re-creations, especially with the casting coup of Doohan's son as "Scotty," and they seem to have a good budget. Especially notable in this ep was the reference to the real-life Union officer, James T. Kirk.
Nothing like having half a century of Trek fandom behind you to build from.

Who brought the Chicago Way to federal educational policy.
Duncan's big achievement in Shitcargo was getting the high school graduation rate up. From something like 47% to 51%. Boy howdy! Now there's a man with his head on straight!
Needless to say, things like literacy and math scores did not budge. Duncan and his union educrat cronies just pencil-whipped the numbers. And even with that could still get just over half the pupils out the door with a bogus "diploma".

just 1,000 people will get tickets to see tonight's debate in person in the massive Coors Events Center on the scenic University of Colorado campus in Boulder.
CNBC, the cable network sponsoring the debate, didn't respond to questions about why the 11,000-seat arena would remain mostly empty.
the Colorado Republican Party, which will get 200 tickets to split among party donors and elected officials. the Republican National Committee also gets 200 seats, the presidential candidates onstage will each get some, CNBC will keep some for itself and the University of Colorado will get 150 seats.

In the grand scheme of things, discretionary spending is a nit. What's killing us is entitlement spending which almost nobody every talks about and fewer try to address.
I don't think spending under Obama has anything to do with revenue. But it doesn't have much more of a relationship that just about anyone else because nobody seems to want to attack entitlement spending. And that will be our downfall.

Since it was the W.H.O. that came out with the "studies" I think it is probably more nudging because the global warming idiots claim that raising animals for food hurts Mother Gaia. True enough regarding their intentions perhaps, but young workers won't pay enough even for themselves over time, and they are bringing in older folks with them, so they probably aren't even keeping up in the short run. It is just extending the Ponzi scheme a little longer, but mostly building it on debt.
Bigger numbers of people make some stats look better maybe, but behind it all is a debt chasm that only grows wider. Job numbers still increase a little for now, but participation rate steadily declines, and its only partly due to boomers. It's declining for those under 55, and over 55 are working longer.
But more people collecting welfare still means more revenue for the COCs, and more voters for the Dems. But the spending comes from taxpayers that have less to innovate and more prudently invest. as I see it.
