Good Morning Morons. Today is Monday, October 26, 2015. On this day in 1881 the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral took place in Tombstone, Arizona. Ironically the reason it is called by that name is a book written after Wyatt Earp died. The actual gunfight took place in a vacant lot 6 doors down.

13 Liberal Organization latches on to new BS code word and call for more screening.

According to the AAP statement, in 2013 one-fifth of all United States children lived in households that were food insecure.

I would have to see how they determined that number. I suspect like all ax grinding it is absolute BS. And what is "food insecurity"? There is absolutely no legal reason for any children to go hungry in this country. Even illegals are getting SNAP and food for dependent children through WICK. There may be some hungry children but the odds are it is because either their parent(s) are too lazy to feed them or their parent(s) have traded their EBT cards for money or drugs.

But as usual, liberals will not call for fixing the real problem; they will call for more free shit.

34 There was a school shooting, on campus, last Thursday at an American University. One person died, and three were wounded.

There is surveillance footage of the incident.
There were probably two shooters.
The shooter(s) have not been apprehended.
Another shooting incident happened across the street from the campus the week before.

Where is all the breathless, 24 hour wall to wall coverage, with constant up to the minute updates on this horrendous tragedy? What about school lockdowns? Witness interviews? The police chief vowing to not rest? Our preezy bemoaning the whole thing and demanding all guns be grabbed?

In my next post. I will explain more.

It is a 'traditionally black college'.

The shooting was likely the result of an argument during a game of craps.

The dead person was not a student at the college.

I'm not a big fan of too much testing standardized testing but it is the best way to measure progress and compare results. And this, of course, will be racist as there will be huge disparities in scores despite billions spent to cover them up and/or explain them away with endless studies. That is Obama's biggest concern about standardized testing, probably his only one.

In Ohio, the problem has been that they change the tests every 3-5 years. You can't compare anything. I'm for tests that prove minimum competency. In other words can you read/write at an 8th grade level, know history, and perform basic Algebra. Anything else and you really start getting into the innate ability of the kids. What never seems to be mentioned is the fact that before Obamacare, everyone received as much medical care as they needed. No one was turned away at a hospital, no one bled to death on the steps of doctor's office for lack of money.

Everyone was treated and a lot of the time it was the most expensive treatment available - the emergency room.

Even with all that, it far less expensive for the average person than today.

Same amount of actual medical care - far less money spent than now. How did this happen?

Hey, Obama has a lot of experience in education. It is one of his many, many areas of expertise, dating back to his time with the Annenberg Challenge.

The Chicago Annenberg Challenge was a Chicago public school reform project funded by a grant from the Annenberg Foundation. The Annenbergs gave @ $50 million to the project, and matched contributions from other donors, so that the Challenge ended up spending over $100 million on Chicago public schools during the years of its existence, from 1995-2001. That well-known education expert, Chicago lawyer, and part-time lecturer and writer of fictional "autobiographies," Barry Obama was founding chairman and board member and president of the Challenge from 1995-1999.

Ever wonder what the Annenberg Challenge actually accomplished for Chicago public schools with its $100 million spending spree? According to an independent evaulation (done by the Consortium on Chicago School Research), it didn't accomplish much of anything:

"the Challenge had little impact on school improvement and student outcomes, with no statistically significant differences between Annenberg and non-Annenberg schools in rate of achievement gain, classroom behavior, student self-efficacy, and social competence."

But it did accomplish giving an unknown but aspiring black politician Barry Obama a high-profile job to add to his thin resume, so at least it did something. Who cares if it didn't help the kids?

So when Obama talks about standardized testing, or any other education issue, we should all listen, because . . .
er, shut up racist!

Mine is individual, but gold level. It's all a fucking disaster. And the bastards at the insurance company instead of fighting this thing smelled money when they knew they could get in bed with the government.

Nothing like being forced to buy your products. The Leviathan makes the Corleone family look like a charitable enterprise with heart, by comparison.

Revolution, please.

Head Start has one significant difference though -- Since it's a publicly funded boondoggle, the money never runs out.

91 Independent experts are forecasting bigger premium increases in 2016
than last year, averaging from the high single digits to the teens.

Most states won't be like Minnesota, where all five carriers selling
individual policies on the insurance exchange have posted double-digit
increases, from 14 percent to 49 percent.

For more than 8 in 10 customers, premium increases will be cushioned by taxpayer subsidies.

The tax penalty for people
remaining uninsured in 2016 is no slap on the wrist. It's high enough to
cover several weeks of groceries. The fine will rise to the greater of either $695 or 2.5 percent of taxable income.

Great job Barry. You know the next step for them is to say the only fix to this mess is single payer

Yeah, I might be more inclined to listen to people like Obama, even though I philosophically disagree with him on just about everything, if he could point to even one single time that he has put one of his policies into action and it has actually accomplished something worthwhile. But he can't do that, because his policies don't work -- and yet he keeps doing the same stupid, counter-productive shit over and over and over again, and insisting that the only problem is that we're not pouring enough money into it!

Head Start is a great example. Billions and billions of dollars over several decades, and multiple studies (including several of the government's own studies) have all concluded the same thing: it does very little to help the poor kids do better in school, and in the few areas where it does help a little, those results typically disappear by the time the kid is in third grade. So what do the lefties say? Do they say "let's get rid of Head Start and try something else?" No, of course not. They say "We need more money for Head Start! It would work great if only we spent more money on it!"

100 Tens of thousands of people with modest incomes are at risk of losing health insurance subsidies in January because they did not file income tax returns, federal officials and consumer advocates say.

The I.R.S. told consumers to file their tax returns as soon as possible to protect their eligibility for insurance subsidies. If consumers filed their returns late, it may cause an interruption in subsidy payments.

Ayers wasn't on the board of the Challenge, but he was one of the three people who wrote the winning grant proposal that got Chicago the Challenge money.

Ayers was also a founding board member of a group called the Chicago School Reform Collaborative, which worked closely with the Challenge. The docs proving the close association between Ayers and Obama have long since disappeared down the rabbit hole, but there's little doubt that Ayers hand-picked Obama for the Challenge board. It's not as if Obama had any education background or credentials. He wasn't even a law professor, just a part-time lecturer who didn't even want to be on the tenure track at U of Chicago Law because that would require him to publish scholarly articles (and Obama has never been a very good writer, which is why he needed so much help from Ayers when he was writing his phony "autobiography.")

Affording political power to a group which are also an enemy of Christian Conservatives, in this case Muslims, necessarily decreases the relative power Christian Conservatives have with respect to the LGBT community. Couple this with lawsuits which damage business and/or livelihood of Christian Conservatives then one arrives at a situation in which members of the LGBT community are safer.

I have been saying this was what they were after when the first baker suit went down. It is a coordinated offensive. First get laws passed making it illegal to "discriminate" against gays regardless of the reason. Next target Christian businesses and demand they perform some service that you know will offend them. Then sue for massive damages after judge shopping.

All this with the intent of driving them out of buisness.

121 J.J. Sefton: you have my exact same "plan." Got the same letter last week. But don't forget the new special hotness: our "deductible" for the emergency room visits is zooming from $200 per visit to $400!!! They're busy nailing all the escape hatches shut, you see: when I had to get my eye checked after an accident, the eye doc told me to go to the NY Eye Ear hospital because it would be covered. But with the $1000 annual overall deductible, it wasn't.

Gold plan my ass.

Another thing: they're going to keep turning the screws on those of us who are trying to stay out of the government stockyards (i.e. the "subsidized" plans, which are utter garbage) until we SUBMIT and head in there like herded livestock. Of course, if you're on one of those "plans," your doctor network is even more drastically reduced.

Already, with the so-called private plan (Obamacare w/o subsidies), I'm being referred to specialists with unpronounceable names and medical papers from Third World countries: having to do a lot of research to even find someone with American credentials.

AND the primary care physician I used to have, who's a HUGE fan of President Hussein, won't accept the BCBS Gold plan! so he's a two-faced son of a bitch. I hope he goes out of business.

Bottom line, folks: if you're not in the Obamacare slave quarters yet, you will be at some point. But first They have to finish the business of destroying the medical insurance companies so only the super-rich and hyper-connected will have access to "Cadillac care" and the rest of you Will. Not. Be. Able to Escape.
