Our Gutless President: Hey Don't Blame Me For the Special Forces Soldier Who Died; That Was Someone Else's Call

Like I said, the only good news I've read in the war in a while.

So of course Obama had nothing to do with it.

27 Obama didn't approve the Bin Laden raid (he just stalled every time they asked until the window closed).

Obama never made the request, nor respond to military requests, to rescue people in Benghazi.

When ISIS held several westerners in a location known to us, they waited 5+ weeks to get sign-off to go in and rescue them --- and when permission was finally granted, the hostages had been moved days earlier.

Heck, didn't Obama stall on the Somali pirate/tanker hostage situation and they ended up just taking their shot without permission?

I keep coming back to Guantanamo, though. Why hasn't he just gone full retard and either released them altogether or force move them into a federal penitentiary (which was the proposal several years ago when Holder was around but it went nowhere)? 129 "So, you know, we're kinda sorta in a proxy war in Syria with the Russians."

Speaking of which, I caught a wire service photo which showed a Russian Su-30 on one of the runways at the Latakia air base they have moved in to in Syria.

I'll try to find the photo. Basic description: the old Syrian runways are total crap. Probably built by Soviet engineers. Concrete sectional construction with big heaves and gaps in it. Rocks and weeds in the cracks.

The only fixed wing combat jet in the U.S. inventory which would possibly be able to operate there without major engineering efforts on the surfaces would be the venerable A-10 Warthog. You know, the plane which the Obama administration and the current Pentagon brass insist must be retired at once to make way for the amazing F-35, which will do everything the A-10 does, and more.

Russian jets, all the way up to the latest Sukhoi Flanker variants, are all built for rough field use, with things like auxiliary air intakes on top of the fuselage to keep the engines from rock ingestion and other foreign object damage. And heavy duty landing gear.

Come to think of it, the field at Bagram in Afghanistan was in equally bad shape when Americans took it over, and it too needed a lot of remedial work. Until that was done, the only fixed wing combat jet which could use Bagram was... you guessed it, again, the Warthog.

I have always wondered if during these delays, Obama had quickly rushed word to his Saudi buddies to tell their friend Osama that his cover was blown and that he needed to clear out pronto.

But bin Laden's personal OPSEC was so tight that it took a chain of cutouts and personal couriers to move messages to him -- no electronic communications devices anywhere on the Abbotabad compound -- and the courier with the warning didn't arrive before the raid finally was authorized.

171 Ace, if you're reading this, you might "enjoy" (and by "enjoy" I mean "projectile vomit with rage") the new school grading system in Sonoma County in California:

http://www.pressdemocrat.com/news/4640349-181/rohnert-park-cotati-schools-rethink?page=0

Rohnert Park, Cotati schools rethink grading scale

"A new grading scale that redefines what constitutes an “A” or an “F” is causing strife and confusion in the Cotati-Rohnert Park school district. Some teachers and officials say it lowers the bar for student success, while others say it encourages students to succeed.

The new system is called the equal interval scale. Essentially, it makes it harder to get a failing grade. It departs from the traditional A to F scale in which students receive F’s for scores below 59 percent. Instead, the scale awards F’s only for scores below 20 percent.

“My mentor teacher, she’s not enjoying it. She’s got issues with it,” said Adam Green, a Rancho Cotate High School math teacher who likes the new system. “I respect her and I respectfully disagree.”

Under the new policy, grades rise in 20-point increments. For example, scores of 20 to 40 percentage points earn D- through D+ grades — and so on, up the ladder. Students get an A- for scoring between 80 and 85, which traditionally is low B territory.

Some teachers have tried to hang on to the traditional grading system but have been tripped up by a blanket new policy that students, even if they do not hand in homework or take a test, get 50 percent. Under the new rule, it’s possible for a student who skips a test to receive a better grade than a student who takes the test and does poorly.

“This is just incomprehensible. I don’t have words,” said Lanny Lowery, who has taught English at Rancho Cotate High since 1980."

---

The part about knocking the bottom out of what constitutes an "F" is actually the minor outrage; the REAL outrage, buried in the story, is that students WHO CUT CLASS AND DO NO WORK WHATSOEVER automatically get "50 percent" - which in the new system is a "C."

Thus, combining the outrages, HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS CAN NOW GET A PASSING "C" GRADE BY NEVER GOING TO SCHOOL AND NEVER DOING ANY OWKR AND NEVER TAKING A SINGLE TEST.

At the end of the article they note that students have already figured this out and are already gaming the system and RAISNG THEIR GPA BY SKIPPING SCHOOL.

This is not just insanity -- it is beyond insanity.

I thought Obama would be all over this, claiming credit for planning the raid so he could look like someone who has at least a thimble full of machismo but he even fucked this up by passing the buck when... it wasn't necessary! As a veteran of Afghanistan, let me be the first to say that American Soldiers are not college students- that is, they're not helpless fucking victims. They are men, and damn good ones at that. When they die supporting this country that they loved, they deserve more than to have their blood smeared off onto somebody else for the blame.

I cannot explain how fucking insulting this is. All this douchebag can think about is the potential political embarrassment. Well, this man's life was a hell of a lot more important than Zero and his shitty, overhyped political career.

Just own it. You ordered American men into battle and one died. That happens, and it's been happening for our country's entire lifespan. But don't hide under your desk like a coward and say someone else made the call. You are the Commander-in-Chief, right? Act like it.

In case any of this sounded conciliatory, Obama is one of the lowest life forms on this planet. Simply looking at him pisses me off. He might be the CiC, but he is unfit to command anything even resembling an American serviceman.

For those of you unfamiliar with that part of Commiefornia (an hour-plus drive north of SF), it's turning into Mexico del Norte really damn quickly, as of course is most of the rest of Commiefornia.

And, the Mexican kids aren't especially enthusiastic about coursework. Low academic performance. Crummy test scores. High truancy rates, high dropout rates, lots of teen pregnancies.

This panics the local educrats. They have big financial incentives now to get students to graduate. So, apply the time-honored educrat solutions of grade inflation and social promotion. That's basically just what this stuff is.

277 Impeachment was the only arrow in the quiver. The key word being "was". Squandered along with just about everything else the GOPe does, including the hearing today.

We shot our only arrow . . . we know not where.

When the Demonrats started bitching about how much this was costing, Gowdy should have said we'll make it up on all the savings from Obamacare, or paying for that border fence.

287 "Good morons, get out of the cities because they will burn first."

The classic leftist playbook is to starve the independent dwellers in the countryside to keep feeding the leftist power base of dependent urban proles. Nowadays the proles are mostly welfare drones, but the principle remains.

Huge efforts will be exerted by Fedzilla to keep the cities supplied with bread and circuses and Obamaphones, right up till the very last and largest collapse of authority. Including a lot of forced rationing and "requisitioning" from those not in the cities.

308 "Just wait until one of the Russians shoot down one of our planes."

The USAF sent their top air superiority fighter, the F-22, into Syrian airspace recently. The Russians would hate to shoot one down.

They're far too busy with ELINT. Bristling arrays of antennas busy soaking up the F-22 specific radar waveforms for analysis and reverse engineering and countermeasure development. Cheaper and faster than espionage.

It is about a dystopian society, with a woman (Meryl Streep) at the head of it, that predicts the future that HRC would bring. Spoiler alert: it sucks on so many levels. A little euthanasia thrown in for good measure.

Despite being an award-winning book it is the 'most challenged' book that librarians have to deal with. It's only written on a middle school level so most Americans should 'get it'.

322 The great disconnect in our Government today... is between authority, and responsibility.

They have the job, and the authority, and make decisions, but are not held responsible for those decisions...

As Hillary said when asked why no one was fired over Benghazi... well ... the BOARD didn't find anyone really responsible.... she had abrogated her responsibility to lead, to a board.

This is the same thing as Congress has done on Declaring War, the Budget, Treaties, and soon the Debt Ceiling... ie giving the responsibility to someone else... so they can be held 'blameless' as their hands are tied...

Hillary does not, and will not, hold herself responsible for the decisions which led up to Benghazi.... even though Men died...

They have no shame.... and have passed laws so WE cannot hold them responsible (with the help of the Federally appointed Judges on the Supreme Court).

This Government no longer represents 'We the People'.... it only represents those who work for it, or those who buy off those who work for it.

Douche was speechless.... I was trying to keep a straight face.... as we walked away...
