Yeah, uh too bad I was calling here a tool of the establishment to go after Hillary, before Trump announced. Tool as in useful item, not tool as in Jeb Bush is a tool.

As I said in the morning politics thread:

Why would she need more money? If she was just there to go out and attack Hillary that doesn't require much infrastructure to actually mount a campaign. You just need her going out there and getting on shows and calling out Hillary. Which was precisely what she was doing before Trump entered the race.

Why not give her just enough money, or a promise to cover expenses later as long as once she drops out she immediately endorses the establishment choice and could see her getting a nice position, possibly even the vice presidency.

36 Looking at the chart, I see IBM/HP moving in similar directions. IBM had their big iron, HP had their printer business, the desktop market was only part of their product line.

Dell would appear to follow the general desktop market, but HP didn't, even after Fiorina merged Gateway into HP.

Sun went the way of Dell, Sun selling a product that fell in between IBM's big iron, and the desktop market.

It would be useful to see charts of the desktop business, hardware and software, and contrast that with IBM's big iron.

This chart doesn't tell us anything about Fiorina.

37 @24 That's why business success does not always equal political competence. We used to say that management's job was to "keep the company in business," but that changed too. Management's job is to "maximize shareholders' value," even it that means selling the company off. You have to do things, as a CEO, that look horrible to employees, sometimes to customers, often to old fans of your "brand."

As a result, every business leader has some accomplishments that aren't popular, and every one has pissed someone off. In the politics we have now, you must be all things to all people, like every other messiah in history. "King of Smiles."

Our ideas about leadership, both in a country and in a company, have changed, and we don't like to think about that. Before Hitler, we blamed Napoleon.

Posted by: Soothsayer, now with a low profile tip and ergonomical handle at September 19, 2015 05:58 PM (TqzNj)

I don't know how to even argue this anymore. It's turning in to a "political issue" where each side has their talking points.

Again, my view is from my personal experience and is "anecdotal" and I suppose I could be proven wrong.

But at the very least, her tenure at HP was... controversial and she had a mixed bag of good / bad decisions.

From a shareholder perspective, laying off a lot of people was a good decision. Replacing some of them with H1B visa holders was also a good decision. Unfortunately, from a political view those will not be popular decisions.

From someone who worked for an HP reseller after Carly had left (or right around that time is when i started), she was considered the worst CEO ever from the HP employees I interacted with and others in the HP reseller industry.

Essentially HP had the great idea to have one division of HP (HP Direct) compete with another division (the people who worked in channel sales with resellers) which snowballed in to a lot of issues. The long and short of it is that if I was working on a 1000 desktop deal and I told the HP channel rep, and he inputted in to "the pipeline" on the HP side, his counterpart in HP Direct would see the deal in the system, and call the customer and try to undercut me on price or at least plant doubts in their mind about buying from a reseller.

That led to a scenario where I wouldn't tell the HP channel rep I was working on a deal, and if I did tell him, he wouldn't put it in the pipeline (because he only got paid if I sold it, not if the HP Direct rep did) which meant HP had no fucking idea what was in the pipeline and could not forecast how many of what units to manufacture. Which lead to 5-6 week lead times on popular units, and a huge glut of unpopular units sitting in warehouses that they had to sell at huge discounts (since after 1-2 years, the machines are basically obsolete in the tech world).

That was just one of many STUPID decisions made during her tenure. Whether or not it was her or an underling who made those decisions, I don't know. But it shows a lack of "vision" and leadership -- you can either do direct sales or channel sales, but not both. For the reasons I just laid out.

Posted by: mynewhandle at September 19, 2015 06:18 PM (AkOaV)

49 Wait...So while Fiorina was CEO of HP and despite acquire Compaq, the only company of the three whose stock HP outperformed was...Sun? And after she was departed, HP's stock started an upward growth that allowed it to outperform the other three companies within a year?

I do not think the chart is as supportive of Fiorina's record while running HP as people think it is.

Posted by: Soothsayer, now with a low profile tip and ergonomical handle at September 19, 2015 06:18 PM (TqzNj)

No, while HP was trying to be more like IBM, IBM made the decision to spin off their desktop + notebook division. So they sold it completely to Lenovo, who re-branded everything to them. So IBM no longer has anything to do with desktop / notebooks.

They now focus on software and consulting.

Maybe 2 years ago or so they also sold off their server division to Lenovo. They have been divesting from hardware all together. Which I think will probably end up being seen as a really dumb decision, but I get their idea at least.

While IBM was in the process of doing that though, HP bought up another "IBM clone" company -- Compaq. Which had nothing to offer HP except consumer grade hardware (which HP already had) and a pretty decent distribution network (which HP already had) and retail stores (which HP promptly shut down when they fired Carly).

So they really didn't get much out of the Compaq acquisition other than the name. Which they also dropped pretty quickly.

think will probably end up being seen as a really dumb decision, but I
get their idea at least.

Point of clarification, IBM sold off their x86 server business.

IBM is still selling POWERPC based AIX/Linux boxes and their mainframe line, as well as their XIV storage systems.

79 "While IBM was in the process of doing that though, HP bought up another 'IBM clone' company -- Compaq. Which had nothing to offer HP"

The one thing it did let HP do was to briefly boast the title of "world's largest computer company" by unit sales volume. They used blurb lines of that sort in their marcomm materials.

What it really came down to was shoving a ton of ultra low margin products out into the channel. Well, yeah, a lot of stuff got sold. But it sure didn't make as much money as had been hoped for.

Well, fine. But from a purely political perspective, Trump has a wildly successful track record with hundreds of successful ventures and 4 or 5 that failed. That's pretty defensible.

Romney -- same story. Wildly successful, a few things that went sideways, but hey -- it happens. That's life, you take risks sometimes you fail.

Carly has no real record of the success side though as far as I know. HP ... at the very least had a "eh" outcome. Lucent -- I don't really have a lot of knowledge on how that went, but uh -- also seems very controversial.

So what can she point to and say "see, I can do great things!!"?

82 Looking at the chart (again) at Feb 01, I don't remember why Sun had such a peak, or sharp decline after, but all four companies are in a jumble. I conclude that there was a struggle to find a marketing niche, and conclude that the tech industry in general was going through a 'shake out'. I remember the dire forecasts for HP. (I have a Compaq branded HP desktop from that time frame that I am using now.)

I don't remember the exact dates of the tech bubble collapse. But Sep 02 the chart lines begin to differentiate. (and I had confused dell/sun lines. Though I think my previous comments are still valid.)

If someone wants to make the case that HP got better after Fiorina left, you should be able to point to decisions made at that time.

Mynewhandle's experience explains quite a lot. Thanks for that.

I do know the old industry brand names really had trouble coming to grips with the desktop explosion.

Well, you could, but they aren't at the same level in the business food chain. Carly was a hired CEO, an employee. High level employee, but employee nonetheless. Trump is an entrepreneur, and I believe the sole proprietor of at least some of his enterprises. He hires and fires people of Carly's ilk. And it's not at all unusual for risk takers like Trump to have some failed ventures. Kind of hard to even be a risk taker if failure is not an option. They call it "venture capital" for a reason. So I don't think it's particularly damning for Trump to have 4 bankrupt ventures on his resume. And even those ventures provided employment income for their employees as long as they lasted.

Posted by: Ricardo Kill at September 19, 2015 06:47 PM (9ORmX)

Of course just because they are built in the same factory doesn't mean they're all the same. Different quality components can be going into each laptop. Its not like RAM with a failure rate of 10% goes into a RAM slot differently than RAM with a failure rate of 1%.

158 Well, if "failed" ventures are a reason for cracking on Carly why aren't they on Trump? And, if "failed" is subjective we need to start sorting things out.

Posted by: Ricardo Kill at September 19, 2015 06:44 PM (9ORmX)

Simple, really. Carly wasn't hired to fail. She was hired to run a going concern, and make it more profitable.

When a venture capitalist like Trump starts a new venture, the investors going into it know it is a gamble, but they are hoping that the rate of return, should it be successful, will offset the risk. And the kind of people who put big dollars into gambles of that nature are not going to be doing it with money they cannot afford to lose; they have other irons in the fire. When those Trump ventures failed, investors could monetize the losses by using them to offset capital gains realized on other investments they might have. Heck, I have been able to do the same thing myself in my (very) small-time investments in the oil patch. A couple have been spectacularly good for me, and others have gone down the toilet. But by selling off the dead dogs, I get a capital loss that can offset capital gains on the winners, saving me tax dollars.

166 I'm not endorsing drinking. but on the other hand turning off media is always a good option.

You've heard about Cafeteria Catholics? Well the media is Cafeteria Non catholics. They pick and chose what they like and twist the rest. The Pope is here for a thing on the family. Despite whatever questionable things he says (and I understand why people are bothered) Francis is very much in support of traditional families and against abortion. So naturally Obama's dinner has to poke him in the eye about that, and the media won't report things he says which they disagree with. If people want some helpful reporting they might go to the Vatican news service during his visit (Zenit?) or perhaps some RC folks here have some reliable Catholic websites they go to. I'm not RC but I sometimes visit the National Catholic Register (NOT the National Catholic reporter) or EWTN and they probably have people covering the visit.

Here's what I heard Farina say yesterday on Hannity:

"HP's budget is larger than any one of the 50 states in the United States of America. So I led an enterprise that is larger than any state. And in an enterprise that big, this is global as well, you can't possibly ensure that nothing ever ever goes wrong. The issue is, when you find out something's wrong, what do you do about it? In this case, the case of Iran, three years after I left, HP discovered that a company that we were doing business with, elsewhere in the Middle East, was doing business with another company, that was doing business in Iran, and as soon as they found that out, they cut off business ties with this original company in the Middle East. The SEC did a thorough investigation and concluded that no one in management, myself included, knew anything about it."

Depends on your time frame. Most of manufacturing has to move to the Americas if US is going to buy things. Asia is either going to war or get massively unstable or both. Is the secret plan to import and train laborers from south of the US border? If so then the welfare state will take a hit.
I will tell you that most people I know hate the company they work for and will change jobs if the economy goes to expanding again. Just because it took an SOB to save the company doesn't make them less of an SOB. Things could have been done differently if the people in charge hadn't been LBJ like in nature, If Carly was just doing her job then her job shouldn't be one that requires a Leader. Carly isn't a leader she is a manager. Like most of these people including Romney. W was a feckless leader in my opinion but could have been a good one except for his family obligations. NWO and whatnot.

245 182 And just so everyone understands I'm not cheerleading Carly over Trump. I'm just looking at consistency. We should be consistent and honest with ourselves. That's all.
Posted by: Ricardo Kill at September 19, 2015 07:04 PM (9ORmX)

Well, I think we are being consistent.

Trump is an entrepreneur who starts and buys businesses for a living. He has a very high success rate. He has had 4 companies go through bankruptcy out of 100 or so (IIRC, these numbers may be off). So about a 4% failure rate.

Carly is a professional CEO. She is brought in to run companies. In HPs case, it was to take a company that was not doing well and to make it do better. That's a very different role then the "money guy" (which Trump is.)

In other words, she answers to the board of directors, Trump IS the board of directors.

Now, I only really know about Carlys experience at HP. But she, as a CEO hired by the board to turn the company around, did not perform well in that task. Or at the very least, was not a stand out.

So she has, let's say, a 50% success rate (for arguments sake.)

Again, she and Trump do VERY different things in very different industries, so it's not an apples to apples comparison.

But I don't see any inconsistently in saying, "Trump, as the "money guy" has done very well in 90%+ of his endeavors, while Carly has a very mediocre track record in her endeavors."

Posted by: mynewhandle at September 19, 2015 07:29 PM (AkOaV)

Funny you should mention that. Back in '83, the gummint folks here would get around the approval requirements for computing equipment by buying bare boards from Taiwan and the parts with which to stuff them. Apple clones such as the Franklin were quite popular.

My boss at the time had a nice Apple clone with a CP/M card and 8" floppies.

Does that make sense?

Posted by: mynewhandle at September 19, 2015 07:31 PM (AkOaV)

251 The thing with HP is the company was already stuck in the the same terminating market that the other PC/tech firms were in at the end of the 90's.

She's not a fault that they were becoming a tech 'commodity' company with a business wing still attached, it's that she thought the commodity side of business would become more successful than any tech part of the firm.

Obviously wrong now and still wrong when she forced them to buy Compaq. It was a complete mistaken in vision and understanding of what HP was as a firm.

No, Unless you want his projects to fail and someone else to do the same thing while using Eminent Domain.

Right. All of us respond to incentives and disincentives and would be fools to take take advantage of such.

For example, I believe in a flat tax. But do I take deductions when tax time comes around? Yes. Does that make me a hypocrite? I don't know. But I'm not going to take a principled stand and say, "no, no, Mr. Accountant, I want to pay the full amount, no deductions."

So in the real estate development market, there is a lot of cronyism and government involvement. Do I wish there wasn't? of course. Am I going to blame Trump for taking advantage of the law? No. I think he would be a fool to take a principled stand that would cost him millions and just ensure his competitors get the contract and not him.

There isn't any solid proof. Only Dana Perino saying she knows one contender is considering it (maybe Jeb.)

I see the logic: the Chamber of Commerce (and Jeb) don't want a wall built, or even the remote chance of one. Draw 1% in a close race (which would be a killing for Jeb) and it could give the Democrats the election.

And, most importantly, no wall.

338 oh, I define "Dark Enlightenment" as the view that the best government is the government that governs its territory best. That is, to take democracy and freedom out of the equation. And to oppose equality as evil.

In practice there might be some role for a consultative body, but it wouldn't be the sole or even primary decision-maker. And it certainly wouldn't represent all the people or even most of the people under the system's rule. There'd also be some role for freedom but not where it stood a chance of upsetting the established order.

So, Singapore, basically. Or perhaps the old Dutch and Venetian republics (which were, I think, run for the shareholders, not the people).

But that's going off topic.

Ha, okay.

Well, the ads write themselves. And only the most dishonest among us will be able to defend her poor decisions as CEO. And she has no great successes or record to point to.

As for Trump -- people that work with him and in the industry think he's a son of a bitch. But a very successful son of a bitch with a really good track record for turning around projects and making money when no one else thought they could.

And I'm sure there will be ads to be made there -- but its a lot easier to say, "hey, he did what he had to do in business. He stuck with his gut and has had an unbelievably successful career."

For Carly the answer is, "yeah she sucked at HP, and has nothing else to really point to as to why she's qualified to run for any kind of political office... BUT she'd be a great president. Trust me."

I mean, I guess. Good luck with that though.

4 bankruptcies out of a 100 (or whatever) companies seems like a good record to me.

And, look, if Carly had been a successful CEO at 10 major companies, and dropped the ball a little at HP, it wouldn't be a big deal.

But it's all just the latest iteration of How Do We Stop Trump.

The insincerity of it gets annoying. The breezy, hopeful statements about Carly quickly turn to the all too typical shrieks of outrage and hatred when someone questions her tenure at HP or dares to suggest she's full of shit about immigration. Maybe you'll convince people if you just scream 'em over to your side.

Incidentally, Dell has "gone private" again... they said going public was a horrible experience.

399 What about it is, as I've read elsewhere, that's out of 900-1000 assorted projects over the years all of the rest of which are successes.

Which gives him a success rate of 99.5-ish% success rate.

As opposed to Ferraro's 0%.

Trump is an actor playing the role of a businessman.

Many of these projects are somebody licensing his name, that's all. Like Brittany Spears perfume.

I could believe Trump was this super awesome executive if he didn't dodge every real question with some juvenile insult.

I liked it, though it had more spiritual weirdness than I was expecting (which is to say any). Like any good pilot, it left a bunch of characters lying their way into precarious positions, at the mercy of other who know otherwise but are playing along to their own ends.

I'm just not sure where it goes since there weren't a lot of dangling plot threads (that the protagonist knows about) at the end of it.

410 Which Candidate that now appears to be a conservative will stay a conservative after being elected? I would like to say Cruz but even he is suspect in my eyes.

Trump is no Conservative. He never has been nor will he ever be. He is a Populist and right now that is good enough for a lot of people.

What promises do you believe the others would keep if they were elected?

You will be lucky to get a "I tried" out of most of them.

Trump supporters believe that if he is elected, the wall will be built and illegals will start getting an invitation to go home.

That is enough to start with. If the rebuke party breaks up and takes a good portion of the donktards with them.

Just a nice little bonus.

411 Soothsayer. Not only did you omit Cruz, but he's arguably equal to Fiorina for the #1 slot.

Solicitor General for the State of Texas, and rather successful in the role.

Further, I've had the pleasure of hearing him speak at a rally in Allen, TX, in January of 2014, well before he'd declared as a candidate. He's very articulate, eloquent, candid and entertaining. He connects.

In fact, given a long form speech, he'll end up giving a far better impression than Ms. Fiorina. She's very good at the canned stump speech, and she's very, very good at rebounding the media's volleys. As is Cruz.

But, he can go off script without missing a beat, and engage with the audience very fluidly, naturally and openly. The media does it's level best not to show this, I think.

And he's been a very consistent, highly effective conservative warrior, all the way back to his college days. He's one of the few that's gone to D.C., and done exactly what he'd promised to do.

I'm glad he seems to be working some chess moves with Trump, from all appearances. If Trump flames out, Cruz is well positioned to inherit the bulk of the Trump supporters.

Still, it's all quite early in the game. For now, I'll just be happy to see some of the sub-zero types fall away from the race in short order.

Trump's got the smackdown thing going. Now the question is, when he's sitting down to make policy and argue law with the Congress, is he going to (a) dance with what brung him (b) trim his sails and try to be everyone's friend?

He wants an unapologetic, winning America, which is one of the most important foundations anyone could have and you would be hard pressed to find one other candidate who thinks anything even remotely close to that.

There is no substitute for the correct attitude. Correct positions tend to follow from it just as terribly incorrect positions are almost guaranteed to follow from an incorrect attitude.

Why is it that no one else running is even close to reasonable when it comes to illegals and American sovereignty - which are the most important issues we face today? Because they all have the wrong attitude, to start with, and that cannot be fixed.

Any promise that requires legislative action is useless because McConnell and Pelosi won't support it. Which is why I always talk about being pleasantly surprised if I get half of what Trump's promising.

It looked like it was going to go to Tom Campbell, who I recall was basically a Democrat. He was winning until the summer, and then Fiorina closed hard and lapped them both.

Looking it up, she took 56% of the vote, with Campbell getting 22%, and Devore 19%. A few months before the primary, Campbell was still in the lead. The conservative darling, Devore, was 3rd throughout the whole year.

That is exactly right. People keep thinking if we got the One True Brilliant Conservative, then the Republicans would win.
Frankly, there are not enough of American Conservatives or people on the Right to win the national election. We are not a Center-Right nation anymore.
We're going to have to settle for some kind of populist centrist. This is not 1980, and there is no well spoken Ronald Reagan that's going to run and capture conservative Democrats (Reagan Democrats).
Trump's populism does appear to appeal to a lot of non-Republicans.

Or we settle for Biden or Hillary Clinton, and another four years of waste.

That's realism, and frankly not popular with much of anyone. But it may be the most we can hope for at this point. It's depressing. How did it come to this?

Late the other night, I was surfing around on the bazillion or so cable channels I have, and it was just overwhelming how liberal-leftist all the popular broadcast crap is. Excepting a few TV preachers (who are all kinda weird, anyways), it all supports the Liberal-Left popular worldview.

People are getting this stuff injected into their heads subliminally. When the Media demonizes whoever the Republicans nominate, a certain portion of the populace will believe that person is the Devil.

I don't mean that to sound condescending, but some small victories might move the so-called Overton window further to the right, and prepare the ground for a more conservative government and electorate in another decade. It's happened before. After the socialism of the LBJ Great Society of the 60's, we got Ronald Reagan 12 years later. It took a frankly moderate Republican like Nixon to get us there.

Which, appropriately, is very muslim-like. Mo did nothing but steal and plagiarize parts of Judaism and Christianity, perverting them to align more closely with the savage nature of desert arab culture. Then, in order to explain the difference between mo's new bullshit and the original texts mo called Jews and Christians liars and said that they should be killed for lying about the texts that he stole from them and twisted.

Not unlike this kid's clock - steal someone else's idea. Claim it for your own. Pervert it into something strange and primitive. And then go apeshit on anyone who points any of this out, all the while crying like a baby..

Indeed. There was some pretty amazing tech in some of those old high-dollar consoles. And some of them cost as much as a car, back in the day. And there were also cheap-ass consoles, basically a table radio in a large box.

563 OF COURSE Fiorina destroyed HP. Stock price is not an accurate prediction of destruction; for example many companies on the brink of extinction had sound stock prices right up to the collapse.

WHY Fiorina was horrible: typical shrikish career woman with no knowledge at all of engineering gutting research for a short term payoff and changing the culture of the company to short-term stock gooses vs. the engineering culture that made HP a consecutive leader in calculators, printers, computers, besides just services.

Question: post Fiorina how will HP be competitive in Cloud Services vs. Amazon, Google, etc.? IBM by contrast has kept much of its engineering culture.

Fiorina btw is loathed with a passion by those who had the misfortune to work with her; she's the reverse Steve Jobs. All the horrible people skills and obnoxious with 100% less talent and product intuition.

Fiorina is however the perfect encapsulation of the Beltway Republicans: working class White people are inferior and must be eradicated or drowned in a pool of the third world because if they were anything they'd have gone to Stanford or Harvard.

She's horrible. HILLARY is more of a woman and human being.

Consider going to this site and putting in a prayer request. Scroll down on site to middle for "prayer request" It is the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church- a non denominational church in NY. It was built up from about 20 people to thousands and the pastor who started it said that he attributes it all to the grace of God and continuing prayer. The people who volunteer for this prayer ministry take it very seriously. They also have huge prayer meetings once a week :

583 The earliest home radio sets didn't smell much, since they were battery only. When they started to catch on, they picked up some pretty hefty warm transformers, to run on house current, and there was a lot of tarry resin involved. For one brief shining moment in the 40's, radio chassis were designed to run on 115 AC, and them babies would really smell up the place once they were broke in.

Yes, transistors had a smell, but radio fans were used to smells. They probably smelled less.

587 L, you may have noticed a bit of my tagline on weekdays...well, for those in your position, the full quote from Eph 6:10-17 is in order:

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Even the non-believers out there wold do well to understand what this means. We're not up against just people. It's ways of thinking, something fundamental, in human nature or whatever. You have to be strong in what you believe--whatever that may be--and not be shaken.

It's not an easy road. If it was, we'd never have got this far down the wrong one.

592 I am such a failed messenger and worker

No you aren't. God put it in your heart to do it. Most of the most important workers in Scripture were people who were not strong and a lot of them considering they had handicaps-Moses said he couldn't speak. The prophets were often saying they were other too young or too old or that God make a mistake. Paul was complicit in the murder of Christians before he became on and said he had a thorn on his flesh. The disciples all ran away (well, the women stayed at the cross) yet they were empowered with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and gave their lives to the ministry. Since God empowered you God will equip you and bring you through these challenges. Give it all to God and rely upon God's strength when you don't have any of your own. Ask for prayers from pastors and church people you may know too. Ask for prayer from fell workers in the pro life movement.

L, Elle: I am such a failed messenger and worker. Someone else should be doing this work. Someone good and strong.

One day at a time. One hour at a time. One moment at a time. Count your blessings, as you find them, and be grateful. Focus on those bright spots and good times. From this draw your strength.

If you have been called upon, you will persevere.

Mark 9.21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

But Mitt Romney, who had a stellar business record, was the guy who got elected ... NOT!!!

Let it go, folks. Business experience has this much relevance to presidential elections: 0. Zero, zip, nada. It is not important. It is less than important. Carly could be a brilliant politician even if her business record was a total disaster (and it wasn't) ... So let's not judge her based on her business record.

lol, fiorina is tied with christie for 2nd to last place and only beats last place lindsey at conservative review. as well spoken as she is, she's a fuckin joke with regards to conservative values. she gets tagged as "bad" with budget, spending & debt, at education, at energy & environment, at free market, at health care, at immigration, at moral issues, and lastly taxes, economy and trade. she does no better than "mixed" with the other 5 metrics.
