The AP reported that no final decision had been made or presented to Marine leaders, but officials say Defense Secretary Ash Carter is aware of the dispute and intends to review the Marine plan.

The report comes nine days after the Marines released a study that found that all-male infantry units performed at a higher-level than units with women in them. Specifically, the study found that the all-male units moved faster, shot more accurately, could carry more weight and suffered fewer injuries than gender-integrated units. The injuries suffered by female Marines included stress fractures that likely resulted from carrying heavy loads.

I'm guessing you're displeased with NRO's more or less universal rejection of Donald Trump as a potential GOP nominee (although Mark Steyn likes him and Steyn's still at NRO, I think). Have you bothered to look at Trump's record on any hot-button conservative issue (and by 'record' I mean his public statements over the years on abortion, taxes, gun control, opposition to Democratic policies, etc.)?

Conservatives are backing Trump not because he's conservative--nothing in Trump's background indicates he is--but because Trump is combative and anti-Establishment. This conflicts with the late Bill Buckley's dictum to support the most electorally viable conservative candidate. Using Buckley's measure, that would mean supporting proven conservatives like Cruz or Jindal, for example.

But no, you guys like Trump and call people RINOs and worse if they don't. How does that work, exactly? Where's the logic?

97 I have 3 things I want to see in the Republican nominee. In a lose order of importance:

1. They can win the general election.
2. They are able to articulate the conservative position.
3. They have some track record of governing conservatively.

Without 1, everything else is pointless (unless we're actively on the burn it down train with someone like Trump). Right now Carley his hitting well on the first two. 3 might be a problem, though.

Like Trump, she is taking more conservative positions now than she has in the past. She supported the TARP bailout. She supported the Spendulus (but only to the extent it sent billions into the industry she was a lobbyist for.) She supports the DREAM Act, and she wants the H1-B program expanded. She loved the Gang of 8 Bill.

I've supported Fiorina from early on. Her account of her HP experience--the dot.com boom and bust years, the layoffs and downsizing, the slow and steady comeback, the behind-the-scenes Machiavellian maneuvering from executive rivals--is supported by the facts. She doesn't gloss it over.

To tell the truth, I wouldn't care if Fiorina did fail at HP. Failure isn't an unforgiveablesin. Failure to learn from failure is. But hey, look at Trump: Trump learned that he could go bankrupt repeatedly, burn stakeholders, game the system, and do it all without consequences--without consequences to himself, of course. Investors weren'tnot so lucky.Neither were employees.

Pretty sure the contestants. I remember stories of people getting screwed when they won cars and such as they didn't have the money to pay the taxes.

The 'so what' is that Cruz wouldn't withstand the concentrated attack. Trump's 'loose cannon' status means that he can take the broadsides others can't.Not trumpeting Trump, but, again, he's the only candidate that can upset GOP planning.
