Serena is a winner in my book. A few years back I saw her and her entourage of attorney's, hangers-on, family, and the who-know's leaving the Palm Beach County Courthouse after testifying in a lawsuit.

Strangely, every single person in the cluster was dressed in black. It should also be noted that every person on the team was black.

The most impressive part of the public showboating was viewing Serena's rather ample posterier, and firmly grasping that she could balance two martini's on her cheeks, walk impressively to the awaiting black SUV's, and not spill a drop.

Meh. Sharapova is 6'3". There's no reason she can't hit anyone off the court. Others are as strong as Serena and still can't beat her. The one who used to beat her regularly was the little Justine Henin, who was something like 5'4", with a chest like a pine board.

Serena is big and strong but she's also just orders of magnitude better than any of the other women players. There is no comparison.

Their most important contribution for older athletes is that they massively speed up recovery time. They allow older athletes to keep working out like they used to. That said, Serena is only 34.

That said, I don't think Serena is juicing. She's always been big. She just is.

I was at work all morning on 9/11. First plane hit during my commute, and my boss/mentor called me to ask if I heard. We both figured, as most l robably did, small aircraft accidentt.
Then the second attack...

Then flight 77.
Phones were eerily quiet for too long, and I knew something was going on @ corporate (NoVa). Who was on that flight?
Turns out it was a friend (and direct supervisor) that was affected. His parents were on flight 77.
All I could think of was "well, at least they got to be in each other's arms at the end."

When it came time for a memorial party, it was explicitly stated that it would be a happy occassion. A celebration of their life.
Hawaiian shirts were required. And no tears. The shirts were worn by all, but there were also a whole lot of tears that day...

Well for guys that's most of what they do: they let your muscles heal faster so you can train faster and build more than you would normally. But for women, the male hormones also have another effect, causing a more masculine build and growth in musculature.

Akin Gump was founded by Bob Strauss, big wig in Texas politics and former chair of the DNC (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_S._Strauss) (also former ambassador to USSR). He also had a hand in getting Carter the Democratic nomination. Strauss died last year, but was active in the firm basically until the end.

Akin Gump has a very large lobbying wing (largest in the world by revenue I believe) and deep connections to Democratic politics given then above. That's probably why it's the Clinton's go-to firm.
