The GOP Field That Failed - by Rich Lowry

My Politico column today is on Trump and the rest of the field, jumping off from the Ramos incident....Bush spoke of only wanting to do it if he could run joyfully. 67 @ThunderB
Not that anyone cares but I will repost my comment from the earlier thread.

I have seen good and bad from the Trump and anti- camps but one commenter, Nip Sip, in particular has gone off the rails absolutely unchecked. He has almost daily baited Trump supporters (all 3 of them) and those were are just 'Trump-curious' by conflating Trump's campaign with Hitler's rise and Trump supporters as brown shirts. He even race-baited calling Trump's immigration approach 'purifying the master race'.He usually follows up with " oh yeah ace, you need to DO SOMETHING about these trashy, racist, Trumpiods. They are TRUE BELIEVERs and can't be reasoned with".

Yet not a word is said.

I don't care much for Trump but if you want to look at shit-stirrers on the blog, you could start there, rather than crying about a bunch of Hector-like mobys .

68 Sarah Palin let ESPN have a piece of her mind over Curt Schilling. Can't link, but it's posted o her FB 8 hours ago.

Attempt at excerpt ...

... there's been crude, rude bile spewing from the once-great sports network for years now. Trust me. I know. My name and reputation's been in it. One ESPN affiliate's on-air rant featuring their misogynist, animalistic analysts grunting and giggling through an entire x-rated celebration of violence against women didn't even draw a chirp from ESPN's wussified leaders. Look it up; I don't want to have to recount it. ESPN radio affiliate in Las Vegas got its kicks out of convicted rapist Mike Tyson describing the next rape he'd want to see Warning, graphic language throughout that Sept. 20, 2011 broadcast.

108 Everyone is saying that media is avoiding the identification of Vester Flanagan as a gay or black or democrat.

Actually, what they are avoiding is the identification of him as a news reporter. They keep identifying him as a former employee of the tv station, as if he swept up or was a receptionist.

The guy was a news reporter who was unhinged when he was a news reporter at two separate stations, and that's what the new reporters are in denial about.

The Trump candidacy is laying bear the schism, it's is only going to get worse if Trump doesn't implode or falter.

The next debate is key, if he can survive as the front runner after the next debate he more than likely will have all of the momentum.

The two debates following are ostensibly on the economy so those should be in Trumps wheel house, if Carly is still around I believe Trump will devastate her in these debates.

I truly think it's going to come down to Trump and Cruz.

I considered buying an actual compressor and keeping it in the garage a while back.
Decided against it because the garage is a mess and doesn't need one more POS in it.

Relatedly, if you can find a decent 120v compressor, you can buy DC-AC converters that plug into your 12v outlet.

I usually file a claim, of course the lawyers are getting most of money from these so called "class action" things...most are frivolous, and just a lawyer/judge thing to make money.

My new car came with "Nitrofill!" (no I didn't pay for it, it's one of the things they throw in as part of their "we're better than everyone else" package. They still had the best price so whatever.)

I..honestly can't tell a difference over the last 3k miles. Except that the green airvalve caps that signal the "NitroFILL!" are all cheap and broke off already (their tops just sheared off leaving nothing but the threaded sides.)

I have AAA . (Also a set of jump cables.)
I had one of those emergency jumper battery packs. And every fucking time I'd try to use it, it didn't work.
It said it was full, I'd plug it to the battery and try to crank the engine and it'd drop to dead.
I know they work because the AAA guys use them (I tend to jump first unless my wife is already gone in which case I have no second car to jump from so I call AAA.)

Also the jacks that come with cars these days suck hard core making it nearly impossible to even jack up my now sold aveo without problems. (Dad had a car slip off the jack once about gave him a heart attack.)

207 >>>>The Trump candidacy is laying bear the schism, it's is only going to get worse if Trump doesn't implode or falter.

The next debate is key, if he can survive as the front runner after
the next debate he more than likely will have all of the momentum.

The two debates following are ostensibly on the economy so those
should be in Trumps wheel house, if Carly is still around I believe
Trump will devastate her in these debates.

I truly think it's going to come down to Trump and Cruz.

As a side note, if Trump has staying power the NBC/Telemundo debate is going to be must watch television.
.
.
.I have this feeling that we are back in 1992 and Ross Perot is on the stage and way up in the polls. I mean he was up almost 40% in the early polls and if he had really been serious he would have been elected President, but he wasn't serious, he quit and handed the election to Clinton. As they say, it's deja-vu all over again.

I am still not 100% convinced that Trump is serious about running for President.

At this time in our history, we simply need an outsider and disruptive figure in the White House that is at least ostensibly on our side.

It's as simple as that.

I would prefer that to be Cruz but I don't think he can win in the general.

So he will have to settle for being the VP and the President of the Senate in a Trump administraton.

Which he would probably make heads explode scanners style for 8 glorious years.

Why do they want others to pay for their surgery? Is this just cutting out the middleman of medicaid-which, frankly, I can get behind-or is this another way of forcing others to support your choice?

As for parents trying to keep their kid alive, I can appreciate that. Was the child in counseling before this, um, change? Did the doctors that encouraged it also mention that it can be a phase, and that struggling with puberty is just that, and kids need time to figure out that they are what their chromosomes have dictated, instead of effing media trying to convince them that they are better if they are transwhatevers?

Sorry. I am absolutely not attacking you, or the family. I can appreciate their pain, and frustration with trying to help their baby and keep her alive. I just think the medical community does a poor job with diagnosing and treating mental health, but get a pass for it.

Prayers for all of them.
