7 Apparently, the Marine injured by the Muzzie terrorist on a train yesterday is recovering well. A Brit paper says he suffered a hand injury, so not as bad as originally reported.

Took a while to find that. "Our" MFM doesn't seem to give a crap and, when they do bother to say something, drop a "suspected gunman -- whose motive was unknown -- was restrained by several passengers, including an American soldier" line. Had to go to a couple of news aggregation sites to get news that should matter to us...from the Brits.

Amazingly, all too many people think whatever NBC or the NY Slimes or the WaPoo regurgitate is actual news. Is it any wonder Choom Boy is in charge? Ignorance is Power in today's America.

GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump is beating Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) in his own state, a new poll says.

According to The Houston Chronicle, the Texas Bipartisan Justice Committee commissioned the sampling. while Florida-based Gravis Marketing gathered its results.

The poll found Trump leading Cruz with 24 percent support from registered Republican voters, compared to the Texas lawmakers 16 percent.

The survey said that retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson is the third choice among Texas Republicans, with 12 percent. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), meanwhile, earns fourth place in the sampling, with 9 percent support. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina are next, tying with 5 percent of Texas Republicans apiece.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, finally, rank evenly with former Texas Govonor Rick Perry at 4 percent each.

Governing!:

Sen. John Thune (R-SD) on Saturday touted the successes of Republicans since they took control of both chambers of Congress early this year.

"Eight months into the Republican-led Congress, weve changed the way Washington operates," Thune said in the GOP weekly address. "Weve brought Democrats and Republicans together to solve the challenges facing Americas families, and weve been able to put forward real solutions as a result, he said.

The Republican mentioned lawmakers passing a balanced budget resolution this year and legislation on trade, transportation and education reform, among others.

That would rob the Republicans of one of the very few conservative senators we currently have. I don't think that's a good move. If Trump wins, we'll need Sessions in the Senate, maybe to take over the Senate majority leadership, if the Repubs can hold on to the Senate after all the eGOP bullshit those clowns have thrown at us over the years. The anger is not just because of the eGOPs rolling over for Obama and his country-destroying agenda, it goes back to the Bush years and beyond. People are fed up. But stealing a conservative voice from the Senate to win the presidency is not the way to go. Same goes for Cruz being the VP. If I had to say now who Trump should pick as a running mate, I'd go with Jindal, a person with executive experience as a governor and also a governor who fights against the overreach of D.C. Then there's the 'minority on the ticket' identity politics. But it wouldn't surprise me if Trump picked a woman as a running mate, and not necessarily Fiorina. I also don't think Trump is going to go along with any eGOP attempt to pick his running mate for him, another black mark against Trump (from the eGOP perspective).

Were Trump to pull an Obama with his 'phone and a pen' 'leadership', Articles of Impeachment would be issued forthwith, supported by both parties. I don't much care who stays in the Senate. Nothing will change until teh Bitch, Hairy, and the rest of the superannuated fatcats currently stinking up the joint are sent off to the glue factory.

Nor do I much care who goes in the Bucket-of-Warm-Spit position on the ticket. My personal inclination would be to avoid Identity Politics (a Democrat stronghold), which leaves out Jindal, Fiorina, Cruz, etc. Get someone in there who's a good manager, who can open the store when the Boss isn't in town.

Posted by: MrScribbler at August 22, 2015 07:13 AM (SNBrO)

That reminds me of the claim that Obama plays 3 dimensional chess, he's so smart. I played chess in high school, winning second in an area wide high school tournament; it was the Swiss system and I ended up beating the first place winner, each of us having 7-1 records; if I had lost that last match, I would have ended up 7th or worse. I have also attempted 3-D chess. I know how difficult that version of chess is, and I knew from that statement about Obama and chess that he couldn't play two dimensional checkers or even Candyland (without cheating).

In other words, it's never too early for a game of chess. In fact, I'm like Ernie Banks when it comes to chess: Let's play two!

A new YouGov survey has found 31% of young Americans identify themselves as something other than 100% straight. Respondents were asked to put themselves on a Kinsey scale where 0 is exclusively heterosexual and 6 was completely homosexual.

Overall 78% of Americans say that they are completely heterosexual while 4% say that they are completely homosexual. 16% of American adults say that they fall somewhere in between. In this group the bulk (10%) say that they are more heterosexual than homosexual while 3% put themselves in the middle and another 3% say that they are predominantly homosexual.

Younger Americans are noticeably less likely than their elders to put themselves in a firm category. While 80% of all Americans say that they are completely heterosexual or homosexual only 66% of under-30s say the same. 29% of under-30s put themselves somewhere on the category of bisexuality.

A similar YouGov survey was conducted in Great Britain last week and found almost half of 18-24 year olds dont identify as exclusively heterosexual.

At the very least they should be forced to give a public statement on why they haven't and why and why their opponents/opponent are.

By using this formula we can hone down the field of candidates and make room for people like Fiorina at the big league table.

It's only fair.

Do the Estabyouinthebackers play ball?

Yes they do which reminds me of the ball that they played on the Mississippi shutout.
That being said they are no doubt scrambling for a backup plan being Hillary seems to be going down the pipe. She was the standby solution should Trump, Cruz, or Jindal win the primary.

So to answer the question. They are going to play ball but it is the same old ballgame that pretty much everyone here has hated over the years.

For a Republican to get away with half of what Obama does, he would have to realize that the media and the federal bureaucracy are his enemies and act accordingly.

Contract out 98% of what the federal bureaucracy does in DC to private companies with the awards being allocated by Congress in their home districts to get both parties in Congress on board. Only Congressmen from within commuting distance of DC will oppose that.

I believe that there is some sort of FCC regulation that requires TV broadcasters to provide news programs as a public service. End that regulation. People who get their news from TV are worse informed than people who never watch the news.

Not that I disagree all that much, but there are plenty of NASCAR fans still out there. Especially in the South.

Granted, the New Breed seem pale compared to Richard Petty, Curtis Turner, "Fireball" Roberts, Buddy Baker, etc. -- all of whom were in the first NASCAR race I attended -- and a few later drivers like Dale Sr., but it's a hard habit to break.

NASCAR is kinda like the GOPe: it will collapse under its own weight, and a leaner, meaner organization will replace it.

The funniest is the asexuals (or ace, heh) who need support because just because you're asexual doesn't mean you don't have sex (yes, they have tortured logic to this extent). Most of the descriptions just seem to describe somebody, usually women, with a low sex drive, or those who want an emotional relationship before they have sex. Yes, they feel the need to create a sexual identity for those who want and emotional connection rather that just a fuck buddy.

My immediate thought was if this is what two unarmed American servicemen can do in the confines of moving train, imagine what a brigade or two of the USMC could do with victory oriented Rules of Engagement and a Commander-in-Chief that wanted to win, not appease the enemy!

Here's what the National Guardsman said:

148 I wonder if it is something related to the number of black activists who are being outed as really being white.

Back in the day there were all those "Stolen Valor" cases of people claiming military service and heroic acts that they had never performed. Some people just want to be accepted as whatever society's current version of awesome is so bad that they will lie about it. Back then it was considered awesome to have killed Nazis or Commies. Today it is considered awesome to suck dicks.

Porn also likely plays a role, especially for young women. Young men are watching a lot more porn nowadays, to the point where it's causing sexual dysfunctions in young men, and a common theme in porn is that women are bisexual. If your a young woman looking to attract a man, that's what you have to compete with. You say that you're bisexual, "curious", "open-minded", etc in order to fulfill that fantasy.

Abstinence is promoted by Jesusfreaks and unpeople. Therefore unless you want to be a hateful bigot you are asexual, not abstinent or chaste.

And then there's demisexual, pansexual, aromantic (which seems to be a weird ass sect. You like sex, or not, but don't like relationships, or maybe you do. It's a freakin' mess trying to keep the nonsense straight- pun intended).

She became a "known" from Juno. When she was just a kid.

After that, she's been an arrogant, snot-nosed know it all brat. And, has done nothing good since. As a matter of fact, in retrospect, her Juno role was not very good, very boring, but it fit the part, and then you find later, that's all she's got. No depth.

All of her awards mostly revolve around Juno. She's a Canadian actress.

I always got an impression it came from the top. Definitely the Bishop, probably the head Cardinal, maybe the Pope.

Start disassembling the church and the Bishop's residence and sell it on Craig's List to give to the shelters and the mission and the Day Labor site, then. God Gave His Son to help what he treasured, a priest can sell his rainment to advance what he supports.

220 Mr Scribbler, years ago on LGF someone posted an article about how the Arabs had basically taken control of the AP. They fund, generously an independent bureau to generate "clean" news for Arab outlets. This funding source distorted the AP because is covered much of the salaries and overhead associated with the non-profit side.

I suspect similar infiltration (not opposed) at other news organizations.

If I can dig it out I will get it up here.
