A nine-year-old girl has been shot dead in Missouri as she lay doing
her homework on her mom's bed.Jamyla Bolden, of Ferguson, was killed on
Tuesday after a gunman opened fire on the family's home.

This little girl should be starting a new school year but a homicidal thug killed her.

Seriously
, I blame #BLM.They are just latest in a long line of excuse-making
a**holes who refuse to acknowledge their responsibility for cultural
acceptance of murder and pain.

Yeah blame Whitey. Racism is easy.

Meanwhile this pretty little girl, Jamyla Bolden, never gets to grow up.

F you BLM.

10 Nothing on Trump?

Odd. You'd think after having done something no other politician has done in almost twenty years - capture the attention and agreement of the left and right - there would be some reference to it this morning.

Why it's almost as if we want to pretend he's not running so he will just go away. Am I wrong?

11 I gotta give the BLM movement credit for one thing.

A willingness to see every hill as a hill worth dying for.

Even the hill that is fatally flawed, like the Gentle Giant meme.

Maybe the GOPe could sack up just a little bit, and find a hill worth at least getting testy about.

12 Jeb's quote about anchor babies that "There is a legitimate side to this" is typical. Apparently the "abuse" of birthright citizenship is Chinese coming on a plane and having a kid in California, but the non-abuse part is Mexicans coming to the US and having a kid as a part of routine illegal alien activity. So basically he's saying that all anchor babies with a few exceptions are legitimate. I don't care who wins as long as Jeb and Rubio lose.

I said it yesterday- I'll start believing #BlackLivesMatter (to Blacks, they already do to me) when Blacks start acting like it. You don't get to scream at me that "Black lives matter!" and then turn a blind eye to the fact that Blacks get a disproportionate number of abortions, or the fact that Blacks kill each other at a much higher rate than other races, or the general acceptance of "thug culture."

You want me to scream bloody murder when a black kid is shot by a cop? Stop letting (yea- encouraging) black kids shoot each other. Stop murdering your not-yet-born children.

39 Does anybody have a link to a really good, thorough discussion of Hillary's personal server problems? Especially what's presumed legal and what's not.

Let me boil this down for you as follows:

If any Joe Schmoe with a clearance did what they did, Joe would a) lose the clearance by the end of the business day; b) lose his job by the end of the week, and; c) land in a nice federal prison by the end of the year.

Every piece of dissembling, arrogant bile spewing from the Ma Corleone machine is so legally calibrated that it should immediately disqualify anyone saying it or authorizing it from breathing oxygen in American airspace.

And it's going in the exact sequence I told Ace it would go a couple of weeks ago in an email: First "it wasn't marked," followed by "there's too much classified stuff," and by COB Friday "Bad advice was given."

You may fit me with prophet robes now.

41 Scott Walker Takes Dead Aim At Obamacare

I am so f*cking tired of this false narrative- not that Scott Walker is taking aim at Obamacare, but that "no one has offered an alternative."

That's f*cking bullshit, and the folks at the Examiner should know it. From the very beginning of this Media-fostered, Media-driven, and Media-moderated "discussion," Conservatives have been screaming from the f*cking roof-tops.

As ace said yesterday, Walkers is perhaps the least disastrous Federal Health Care option - but it is still disastrous. Get the f*cking Federal government out of health care- that is the Conservative plan. Remove the wall that the Feds artificially created and allow insurance to be sold across state lines. Either remove the pre-tax status of Employer-based health insurance or make individual health insurance tax-deductible (that is: level the playing field), and then get the f*ck out of the way.

Let people make decisions and deal with consequences. We are not your teenage children who can't be trusted to make our own choices. It is not your job, politicians, to force us to do things "for our own good." I know what is for my own good far, far better than you do. So leave me the f*ck alone.

He is babbling from the vacuum of willful ignorance.
No politician , political advisor , political writer, critic or pundit WANTS to understand immigration or immigration law.

ace's post on H1bs yesterday was a great example. If you don't understand the goals of work-related immigration from all sides a) attract and permit the world's exceptional people and the best and brightest b) permit temporary workers in RARE jobs when no US workers are available while c) prevent damage to the existing US labor market, then it's seems contradictory.

Labor is the number one line item on any corporate budget. Reducing
labor costs through visa fraud is incredibly profitable and due to slack
enforcement , incredibly low-risk.

Jeb doesn't want to talk about his phat donors and their decades of abuse of the immigration system as it affects profits which affects campaign donations.

A lot of the problems w/StL are structural: You will never see a more fractured county/city government structure. The City of St. Louis proper, exclusive of the greater StL County is a completely f'd up Detroit like example of a century of "D" rule. Complicating matters are the 100 plus municipalities that comprise StL County, each one trying to maintain fire/ambulance/police and in some cases utility service. There is ungainly overlap, and it leads to lots of problems. Also, East St. Louis is in Illinois. 'Nuff said.

The producer Sam Goldwyn was shooting a movie (it might have been one of the Dead End Kids series) which took place in a Lower East Side hellhole. It was dressed perfectly, but Goldwyn saw it and said, "This is a Goldwyn movie. I want a clean slum!"

Trump is *not* supposed to be a serious candidate. How can he be my
Burn it Down/Bread and Circuses candidate if he's not playing the part
of the clown?

I am told that:

a) he doesn't really mean it.

b) someone else told him to say it.

c) he pays advisors to tell him things which makes him not executive material.

d) he can't possibly understand the vagaries and complications of governing as he has never held a political office.

I look forward each day to another clarifying round of instruction for my tiny little brain from my intellectual superiors stroking their Trump-hate hard-ons.

85 The BLM opinion piece in the WaPo was delusional.

BLM has two objectives: fewer inner-city arrests and more free government cheese. While the GOPe is running hard to catch up with the Inner Party in these and all other categories of pandering, they will always be outdone by the Dems, who are the free stuff party.

The WaPo piece was delusional, but what else could one expect from a Red State writer writing for the WaPo?

So, I was walking through Chicago and I saw that there was a "muslim bookstore".

I was wondering what exactly was in a muslim bookstore, so I went in.

As I was wandering around taking a look, the clerk stopped me and asked if he could help me.

I imagine I didn't look like his normal clientele, so I asked "Do you have a copy of Donald Trump's book on his US immigration policy regarding muslims and illegal mexicans?"

The clerk said "Fuck off, get out and stay out."

I said "Yes, that's the one. Do you have it in paperback?"

I wonder if has come out in Spanish.

Yep. It's almost like everyone initially thought he was *just* a clown (instead of *also* a clown), and that they could score points by calling him names.

Then it took a while for them to figure out that a) he was taking this seriously and b) people were liking what they were hearing from Trump. Given that no one else was saying that, it meant that the only person they could go to was Trump.

Now it may be too late. He's well out in front, he's got a yuuuge war-chest, and he's continually refining his previous "eh, we'll see what sticks" into cogent policy.

It's seriously weird for me to think of Trump - even fleetingly - as a "serious" candidate.

Unfortunately it's a Catch-22: Is it a sincere conversion, or just another cynical, opportunistic pose?

You want to know why Trump, Fiorina, Carson, and (to a lesser extent) Walker and Cruz are prospering? They aren't tainted in the public eye. They weren't part of The Problem. Anyone who was part of The Problem isn't trustworthy to fix it. Therefore it doesn't matter what they say, they won't be trusted, they won't be believed.

__________________________

Yeah, when Chinese and Arabs fly in to drop their anchor babies here in our hospitals, so they can stick our taxpayers with the hospital bill and also get U.S. citizenship for their kid, that's an outrage!!

But when millions of Mexicans and El Salvadorans and Hondurans and Guatemalans drive over the southern border and do the same thing, why that's just good family planning! They filmed in E St Louis, which was so fucked up and filthy that they did almost no set dressing for the apocalyptic prison setting, didn't need it. Also, the film crew was on pins and needles during the whole shoot because the normal residents in the area were TERRIFYING.

I got lost in North St. Louis, too, and found myself in a nice middle class area which appeared to be all black residents. Nice homes, nice lawns, nice kids playing on their bikes... All gone, I suppose.

236 And that 89-85% of 'latinos' are legal residents only applies if you accept the 11 million illegals figure which has been mysteriously stable for several decades now.

237 Problem with Trump winning is that I believe he will turn out like Arnie, a dismal failure. And then the donks will return with a vengeance, just like we see in Calif now.

There still will be Latinos coming in legally. Plus with child births and intermarriage, there numbers will increase. Latinos can ally with other groups for political purposes via the Democrat party. Fact is they will have political clout. Nothing you can do about that.
Posted by: Can't touch this at August 20, 2015 09:56 AM (lSbms)

Well if they want to ally with the Democrats, keep to themselves, they will get the same great deal the blacks have gotten from the Dems.

If Latinos are smart they will follow the path Italian immigrants eventually took, assimilation.

Ace and DrewM are anti Latino and want to reduce that population. The trouble is their numbers will still increase even if you deported all illegals. Intermarriage and births is how the numbers will increase. With increase numbers mean more political powers.

Conservatives will be the long term losers in this battle. Latinos will not get mad, they will get even!

243 Maybe that's an unfair perception, but he's the one who joined the Gang of 8, proposed Federal DREAM, and fought for Amnesty.

This may be heresy, but there were some good concepts within the Gang of 8 bill. Mandatory e-Verify. Ending chain family immigration in favor of a merit-based approach. Ending welfare for illegals. Even some showy-but-not-really-effective feints toward border security.

What sucked about the Gang of 8 bill was not just the 'Chute to Citizenship' but that anything good in the bill was subject to waiver by the Obama Admin.

245 HR-How was the fair?. Did you go after all?

If so, what was the best/worst part.?

The fair was great! The best part was the Ultimate Bacon Brisket Bomb:
http://is.gd/i4tSZB but the craft beer tent was great, too.

The worst part was it was really hot and humid and the youngest nephew kind of melted down about mid-afternoon so they had to leave early.

We skipped all the political stuff. We saw cameras and state troopers and I thought I saw Gov. Branstad, but I couldn't see who they were with. Later learned the only candidate who was there the day I was was Guliani. I'd definitely shake his hand sometime if the opportunity presents, but maybe not wait in the hot sun to not see him over the people in front of me.

Oh, and there was a No Labels booth in the Varied Industries building. I laughed at it.

My guess is Latinos will do the smart thing (as many of them have already done) and assimilate into American culture.

Don't you?

Latinos intermarry at high rates. That will be the undoing of conservatives. My wife is a legal Latina and Trump can't send her anywhere. My kids will have the last laugh when they turn 18 and vote against Republicans.

249 Re; Trump last night...

If you watched any of the half dozen networks he was on for over an hour - of free ad time - you would have noticed that he has taken the boldest approach to running for president in decades. Even Chris Matthews was in awe. At one point he asked one of his guests "why can't Hillary manage a press conference that way?" The question answers itself, of course.

But my larger point is that he had solid, if somewhat adjective-laden, policy responses, coupled with a command for the supine media that could not have been better.
