19 Obama is a narcissist. He must surround himself with an echo chamber that will reinforce his ideals about himself to *himself.*

Trump has a big ego. He seeks to surround himself with the best and brightest talent to make himself look good to *others.* (See The Apprentice)

Case in point: He went straight to JEFF SESSIONS for consultation on his IMMIGRATION plan.

He doesn't look like such a clown to me on the number one issue according to Americans of both parties.

Nah, Onassis owned Skorpios before he married The Widow (as he liked to call Jackie).

After they married, Jackie hired a snooty NY decorator to re-do the main house on Skorpios. Onassis was pissed when he received the bill, because it included charges for televisions -- when there was no way to get television reception on the private island.

Now that Trump owns FOX, and I see how well his anchor trick works with the public, I'm going to predict he will be our next president. I think he will move to the center on social issues (already happening) and win against Clinton in a tight election.

I also saw some Internet chatter about the idea of picking Mark Cuban as Vice Presidential running mate. If that happens, Republicans win. And I think they like to win. There is no way Trump picks some desiccated Governor from an important state as his running mate. I think Cuban is a realistic possibility.

Yes. My point is "Enforcement First" is the ONLY way to actually address immigration.

And squishy immigration judges are simply not going to 'split up the family' even if Paco is a convicted felon with a spiderweb tattooed on his face.

Employer sanctions are built into the immigration laws. If they are not enforced across the board, then they will be used as a lever by an oppressive , vindictive administration against it's enemies.

Better to eliminate them altogether than to have the laws in place , unenforced.

If we are now officially 'globalized' to the point that our own citizens are not given priority by our own laws , then shut this stupid Republic down.

Let's form the Greater North American Co-Prosperity Sphere, already.

And being a guy who, if he has to think, might as well Think Big, he skipped right over Rubio and Cruz and went for the Real Cuban. Gotta respect that.

Something tells me that 9 out of 10 of the govt security experts who otherwise would be trying to find and secure Hil's Backup are instead tasked with finding and wiping it.

Have not heard that Charles is out of the succession. Yes, such a thing DQ'ed his great-uncle, but times have changed and other heirs are married to commoners. Diana wasn't even real-real royalty, and Chuck got credit for that, in the day. Kate, the queenliest queen outside H'wood, is common as dirt, or thee and me.

If you're keeping score, in the past month Trump has bitch-slapped the entire Republican Party, redefined our expectations of politics, focused the national discussion on immigration, proposed the only new idea for handling ISIS, and taken functional control of FOX News. And I don't think he put much effort into it. Imagine what he could do if he gave up golf.

Trump is a salesman. He's selling what he wants to sell (himself) by bundling it with things people actually want. Compare that to the GOP.

Bears you try and warn to stay away with bells and things, and chances are if they charge you you're going to have to throw down.

There was a time when I was regularly driving cars with MI and NJ plates in CA. Got stopped a few times, because the state was pissy about people registering cars out-of-state to save on fees. Usually took less than a minute to clue the cop in to why I was driving them.

One Highway Patrol officer really ran me through the mill about it on the side of a freeway, and wound up saying "well, you can't drive this car, then." I handed him the keys, said "okay, you deal with it" and started walking toward the next offramp. He had an abrupt change of heart. I drove away.

Agreed. Fortunately, I've never had a bad experience with the police. Well, there was that one time in Munich, but they were looking for a terrorist....

When a cop stops you, your goal should be to end the scene ASAP with no raised blood pressure on either side, and cooperation generally seems to be the best policy.

I know the "I let them search the car if they want" attitude doesn't go down well with the "ZOMG! NASTY THUGS-WITH-BADGES VIOLATING MY RIGHTS!" crowd, but since I actually had nothing illegal in there, why the hell not?

178 Cops have a dangerous job. There were a few local officers where I used to live who kept going to the hospital to have their hands x-rayed. Suspects would chronically attack the cops by head-butting them in the knuckles.

180 The MSM is really scraping the bottom of the gossip barrel if all they've got are accusations of rape in a divorce case and now the Di stuff.

It would be funny if they weren't also ignoring more recent, relevant news about other candidates such as HILLARY'S flagrant law-breaking w/her email server and, you know, being MIA on the night she got her Ambassador killed.

Ugh. HATE the media.

181 I've been pulled over around 10 times in total. 6 or 7 for speeding, one for expired plates. One time I was towing a boat and the boat trailer lights were out. And one time, I stopped on the side of the road to look up something on Google maps since I was lost and 30 seconds later I see lights in the mirror. That one occasion was a little BS-y since it was late at night and there was no traffic on that street. But still technically I suppose I was breaking the law as you're not supposed to stop on a major thoroughfare.

But in every one of the cases, I was polite, gave the cop my license/registration when asked, got my ticket or warning (more often than not a warning over a ticket) and off I went.

I realize there are bad cops out there but I'm convinced the majority of people who have problems with cops bring those problems on to themselves by being assholes.

182 In regards to Hillary's 60 e-mails that were classified, the media is missing a HUGE point.

They are reporting on each individual e-mail for its classification, which may be accurate, but Hillary still may have released more top secret information that what is being reported about the 60 e-mails.

In fact, even unclassified information, if taken IN THE AGGREGATE, may constitute top secret information. All it takes is for the other side to put the unclassified pieces or secret pieces together to construct top secret information.

For example, one e-mail may the address of an unnamed ambassador in Benghazi. Innocuous.

Another email may say the Benghazi ambassador is picking up his dry cleaning on Tuesday. Innocuous.

The third e-mail may say that the majority of the Security Team will be in mandatory training all day in Tripoli. Innocuous.

Put all three together, and you have information that create exceptionally grave damage to national security.

Waiting for ex-CIA agent Robert Baer to address this.

No one has done that sort of analyses yet.

It's got to be way more that 60 in reality.

This is from the people that have worked on Bengahzi for 3 years and the IRS for over 2 years with nothing to show for it.

For comparison's sake, Oliver North going to trial 2 years after the Iran-Contra story broke, and Reagan had to do a special televised speech on it only a few months after it.

212 Too bad the BLM activist who went t6o seminary didn't learn from her theology classes that ALL live matter. She doesn't sound like a person of great spiritual depth but she's young (and no, being young doesn't automatically mean that you lack spiritual depth.

One sort advantage of having never read a lot of the bible before I became a Christian (and not growing up in a Christian home) was that when I went to seminary in my late 20's and found less than palatable stories I was not particularly surprised or appalled and didn't need a "new way to read the Bible" Hopefully, she'll make it out of her spiritual "vision of the anointed" which demands you must be a social justice warrior for the revolution or your faith is not authentic.

I'd read some of his blog relatively frequently a few years ago. He strikes me as the kind of person who enjoys taking a position that's controversial or unpopular with a large section of the population and making an intellectual argument for it. I'm not convinced he actually believes most of the things he's argued for over there.

Either that, or he does a very good job of playing the "Hey, I'm just telling you people what the argument is, not saying that I believe it" while being able to espouse some stuff that gets pretty far out there.

Yea, a lot of it can. The msm has been covering and playing down the Obama scandals and many if not most Americans aren't even aware how severe the illegal actions were.

Look at how the msm went after Nixon. It was a national obsession for them and that got the public involved. All of that pressure finally got people to crack and turn on Nixon. Contrast that with how the msm has treated every Obama scandal and now this email scandal which is much, much worse than anything Nixon did.

Couple that with the fact that Republican administrations haven't used the power of the executive branch to stonewall, ignore and lie. Obama has and continues to.

So go around the msm and start placing ads everywhere. If the public gets behind this issue it will get legs.

216 Interactions with cops always have the chance to not end well.

And since cops always have guns, the opportunity for that to be a really bad thing is high.

I am a white male, clean cut, present well. Every time I deal with a cop I am totally professional, say sir or officer, and do not create a confrontation. About 20% of the time the cop is still an asshole.

The less you deal with cops, the more you think they are probably okay. I think real world interaction decreases that view.

And, no I am not a criminal - just driving and got divorced.

217 Cops who detain people doing nothing wrong, with perverse incentives to do so, who put others at risk on a flimsy basis, are a problem.

This is America. You should be able to drive down the road unmolested without interference...e place to catch smugglers is near the border or when there is a reasonable basis for a stop. Out of state plates and sunglasses don't fit that bill.

See how you feel if you just went to the bank and pulled out a couple of Gs and the cop decides to take them because you can't prove, on the spot, you legally obtained it. Civil Forfeiture is a bitch and should be considered an unconstitutional taking, but too much money in it.

Secondly, yes, it is a violation of my rights to be stopped for obeying the law. Is obeying traffic laws now considered so unusual that one gets pulled over for it?

Thirdly, immigration stops should ONLY be at borders, not 100 miles or more away from them.

Fourthly, at most "immigration stops", the police are looking for more than immigration status.

I have no issue with police doing their jobs, but for Pete's Sake, do it in accordance with their oath to the Constitution.

221 Of course, there are the rumors that the Queen is looking at bypassing Chuck in the succession.
Or the P.M. through the Commons/Parliament will bypass him---there's plenty of precedent for that.

"Plenty of precedent"? The only one I can think of is James III, and that "bypassing" followed on the heels of a revolution. If you mean Edward VIII, he abdicated, and it was AFTER succeeding his father. Sure, Charles could step aside of his own free will, just like his great-uncle did, but he's never intimated that he has any plan to do so. Parliament just deciding to pick someone else to be King because they don't like the look of the current candidate would be unprecedented.
