This is unique.
Harvard Prof Wants To Be President Long Enough to Pass One Bill "The system is rigged. We must fix that rigged system. First." ... Announcing his possible candidacy Tuesday, Lessig explained in a video that he is leading by example through raising the money via crowdfunding, thereby handing the power back to the people. He is running on one core principle: citizen equality. Lessig believes that money and power have for too long corrupted America's political system, giving elections to the highest bidder and silencing the citizens' voice. It's a three-fold plan under his proposed Citizen Equality Act of 2017 -- equal freedom to vote, equal representation, and citizen funded elections. His campaign website explains: The core principle of representative democracy is that we are all equal citizens. Corruption creates 2nd class citizens. The Citizen Equality Act of 2017 would fix that, and a referendum president would have the mandate to pass it. Once it is passed, we could begin to rebuild a democracy that inspires free people everywhere, and gives us a government that works again. http://bit.ly/1J5V7Nj truthrevolt.org he's a big Dem supporter going to have breakfast, too now Posted by: artisanal 'ette at August 13, 2015 07:02 AM (qCMvj) 3

Top U.S. intelligence officials are running out of patience with the State Department's reluctance to turn over emails from Hillary Clinton's private email server, which have already been shown to have included top secret communications, Fox News has learned. So she even drags her heels for government officials. And they are still saying publicly that she "agreed" to turn over her private server to the FBI. A black City councilman in Winston-Salem, NC want to change the name of an event they have there called the Dixie Classic Fair. He finds the word "Dixie" to be offensive. What is amazing to me is this dumb turd lives in the South and has no clue as to where the term Dixie originated and it has nothing to do with the civil war or slavery. The most likely origin has always been that it arose in New Orleans from the nickname of their 10-dollar bill, which was called a "Dix" which is French for ten. Of course there are other claimants but they have nothing to do with the civil war.

And speaking of scum, prosecutors in CA say they may seek the death penalty for another one of those illegal aliens who rape and kill the women Americans will not do. Even if by some chance they do get the death penalty, since it is CA he will die of old age before he is executed. The last person executed in CA was in 2006 after spending 23 years on death row.

The DOJ must be tired of the accusations of racism for their "civil rights" investigations of officer involved shootings. They are now investigating the shooting of a white 19 year old drug dealer in a Hardee's parking lot in SC during a drug sting. Evidently the dealer was trying to flee the scene in a car and was pointing the car at a cop while fleeing. This should be a real short investigation.

Obamacare may be headed back to the Supremes. This time over the fraudulent way they violated the Constitution in the "origination clause" that says revenue bills must originate in the House. Recall they took a bill that had already been approved that was for veteran's affairs and "amended" it by striking the entire contents and replacing it with Obamacare. To me that is pure fraud.

another woman teacher taking advantage... High School Science Teacher Arrested For Victimizing Teens With Sex, Trip To Disneyland This week's female high school teacher busted for allegedly having sex with a small gaggle of teenage male students is Michelle Yeh. Yeh, 28, is a now-former temporary science teacher at San Pedro High School in a pleasant, fairly average seaside neighborhood of Los Angeles. She worked with students with special needs. ... One of the students, who was 15 years old, went to the cops in July. By that time, he admitted, he and Yeh had engaged in sex several different times. ... Investigators say they believe Yeh may have victimized other male teens with sex during previous temporary teaching assignments. Yeh faces eight criminal counts including unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, oral copulation of a minor, lewd acts on a child 15 years of age and a charge called sexual annoyance. If convicted, she faces a maximum prison sentence of nine years and eight months. underage students with special needs sick Posted by: artisanal 'ette at August 13, 2015 07:11 AM (qCMvj) 34

I find it ironic and completely unsurprising that liberals, with all their supposed knowledge of other countries, believe the United States has an oppressive, restrictive immigration system. If only it were so! The truth is we have perhaps the most welcoming, accommodating systems in the world, and even that is not being enforced. Better yet, is when one of these fools say "I consider myself a world citizen" as I've heard more than a few times. Good luck on your international travels with that world passport, I'm sure it will guarantee you speedy entry to countries across the globe. Oh, and be sure to contact the local World Embassy if you run into problems.

From a July 28 Yahoo article:
The US just introduced a new type of bomb into its already extensive arsenal, and it may just be the most alarming US weapon yet, Zachary Keck writes for The National Interest. The new bomb is the B61-12. On its surface, the bomb does not appear to be as dangerous as other weapons in the US arsenal. Although the B61-12 is nuclear-armed, it has a yield of 50 kilotons - tiny compared to the largest nuclear bomb that the US possesses, which has a yield of 1,200 kilotons. They are worried that its delivery accuracy and low yield makes it potentially more usable than our other warheads. Posted by: GnuBreed at August 13, 2015 08:13 AM (gyKtp) 158

The kids and I went out to watch the meteor shower last night. It was pretty mediocre this year. My daughter, at one point, said, "Dad, what would you do if scientists detected a meteor headed right at us?" I replied, "I would stand up, arms spread wide, and cry out, 'Sweet Meteor of Death, I await your embrace!'"

from a report on North Korea's first nuke test in 2006:
North Korea's first nuclear test was conducted underground on 9 October 2006. The device was plutonium-fueled and the estimated yield was 0.2-1 kiloton. It is likely that this was a test of an improved implosion device small enough for delivery by one of North Korea's ballistic missile systems, although possibilities implying either higher or lower weapon capabilities cannot be excluded. It is also likely that the test failed to achieve the expected yield, which was reportedly 4 kilotons; such a failure could result from several factors and is not necessarily indicative of North Korea's weapon capabilities. IANA nukular engineer, but as I understand it, those really low-yield devices are basically on-purpose fizzles, where the reaction doesn't self-sustain properly. I believe they're called sub-critical explosions. As I recall, some of the underground tests of the Norks/ Indians/Pakistanis were likely fizzles due to unexpectedly low yields, probably caused by getting it almost-but-not-quite right. You can get those failures for a variety of reasons, from impurities in uranium that stunt the chain reaction by absorbing neutrons, to asymmetric implosions in plutonium-based bombs. http://tinyurl.com/qegjhky Hillary Clinton's campaign circulated a memo to top allies in Washington this week with an unmistakably Obama-esque theme: Don't worry, we've got this. It comes at a time when Clinton's elite Acela-corridor allies have watched her battle flagging approval and honesty ratings, an investigation into the handling of her State Department emails, a surprisingly robust challenge from Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, and the possible entrance of Vice President Joe Biden into the race. And they've watched it all play out in the newspapers they read and on the television shows they watch.
