I'm watching reruns of the cable shows and they all claim Donald Trump is great TV/entertainment. Am I the only one who couldn't care less what Donald Trump believes(mainly because like Obama it comes with an arbitrary expiration date)? He has his principles, and if you don't like them, he has others!
Entertaining? I don't see it. Posted by: hadoop at August 08, 2015 06:21 AM (2X7pN) 7

Was nice to hear a few comments on tv about Planned Parenthood, videos, selling baby parts, and the Democratic party still supporting them.
Main stream media has pretty much embargoed the stories about the chop shops up till now. And for the most part, non-news-junkies are pretty much oblivious to the events which have taken place. And now, on the most watched cable event in history, people are suddenly hearing about planned parenthood. At a minimum, there are a non-small number of people going "Huh, what's happening with Planned Parenthood"? So, that's a good thing. Out of all the candidates from both debates there might be two who might not, might not, slide into bed with the GOPe once they get the nomination,,, and a few "offers they can't refuse." Posted by: Boo! at August 08, 2015 07:28 AM (mJRr3) The freaks on the left walk lock-step with their own. True, the trajectory of the nation is on their side. What I want to do is to stop the friendly fire beforehand. When we do this, the GOP-e gives us Jeb. As they did Mitt, McStains, Dole and Ford. We will never have anyone that 100% of us agree with on 100% of every issue. But we have a few that are at the threshold of being able to vote for (whatever that percentage is). If we're all going to engage in fratricide 15 months out, then Jeb will be picked and the Democrats will win. But, okay. Keep doing what your doing. Posted by: J.J. If you want to get upset before your first swig of breakfast, Drudge linked to a Wired article about how Google "could" tweak responses at a level sufficient to swing close elections.
http://www.wired.com/2015/08/googles-search-algorithm-steal-presidency/ I'm sure it's not sinister that Eric Schmidt was a big player in Dear Leader's 2012 campaign. Posted by: Agent J at August 08, 2015 06:31 AM (ueOgE) This is already happening. Liberal causes and connections, as well as names, always seem to bubble up first in Google. It makes my skin crawl. This was interesting in the article, too (common sense - your environment shapes you; that is what is so dangerous for our children right now): The fact that media, including whatever search and social deliver, can affect decision-making isn't exactly news. The "Fox News Effect" says that towns that got the conservative-leaning cable channel tended to become more conservative in their voting in the 2000 election. A well-known effect called recency means that people make decisions based on the last thing they heard. Placement on a list also has a known effect. And all that stuff might be too transient to make it all the way to a voting booth, or get swamped by exposure to other media. So in real life VMP is probably much less pronounced. In Quebec Canada, there is a cable company that refuses to offer Fox News to it's subscribers. But, they were one of the first to jump on Al Jazeera. All you need to know about Quebec. Fiorina is like many career women I've unfortunately met. They'll demand to be treated equally but if they are they claim sexual harassment or a hostile work environment.
She's also for amnesty and Dreamers. A gun grabber. She's now playing the gender card with relish because it's to her advantage but will then get upset over not being treated equally due to her gender. Men make off color and insulting comments to each other when engaged in name calling among competitors. Yet somehow any female competitor is supposed to be treated differently for some reason. Megyn Kelly entered the primary race. She was a moderator but she or her bosses decided they'd try to bump Trump. That makes her a participant and fair game. She called the Donald nasty names so he gets to call her nasty names and make distasteful inferences. Get over it ladies or get out. Erick Erickson that epitome of fat douchery decided that he would rescind the invite to the RSG15 to Trump on the basis of Trump having stopped just before uttering what may have been a reference to Megyns c*nt. don't know for sure but it is a likely possibility that's what Trump wanted to infer. Either way, Erick has now reneged on his offer which by the way he touted as a way to sell tickets to this gathering. So now the douchebag is guilty of bait and switch. And Fiorina in all her high hatted hysteria has declared Trump persona non grata for even thinking of Megyn's c*nt. Fiorina, FNC, Erick Erickson, Hot Air and all the twitching PMS Uber Alles Bitches out there have shown their true and bloody colors. That will be the rallying cry if Hilary is the nominee, except "misogyny and alienating the moderates." Obama was eviscerated by Romney in the first debate. If it had been Hillary, how much different would things be now? Her failure would only boost Obama's chances for 2016. We'd still be stuck with that skidmark as President, only 8 years later. Now, after 8 years of Obama, Hillary's chances aren't nearly as good. Especially if WWIII breaks out in the ME before Obama's out of office. Posted by: gewa76 at August 08, 2015 08:08 AM (S9rS1) 153

Unless something drastic happens and Cruz gets traction Trump is the one I want presiding over this F'd up mess we call the USA. He will piss everyone off including me but I'm already pissed off.

Never been there, and no plans on visiting. Aurora, IL population about 200,000 just reported the 100th shooting. Must be all the Methodists living in the small city, too have such a high shooting number. Beats Chicago in population ratio of shootings vs. population. (Chicago Tribune)

Donald Trump Won't Win A War Against Fox News I wonder where this will go. He attacked Kelly, not Fox so much. There are many times I have heard him say "Fox is great!" He always knows to give accolades to those he needs something from. I really wonder how far Fox will go with this. Posted by: artisanal 'ette at August 08, 2015 08:12 AM (qCMvj) 160

And I think one of the merits is I am a woman and I can bring those views and perspectives to the White House." Thank you! Obama can easily dismiss comments 'coming out of Iran' with an Imperial Wave of His Limp Wristed Hand.
The truth remains; Obama accomplished something no one else has been able to do, he made a deal with the Iranians who have already said the deal is off because Obama violated terms of the agreement. Doesn't matter, Obama made a deal, and he has restored normal diplomatic relations with Cuba. Obama will stop the rise in global temperatures with his reduction of cee oh two emissions by ending coal as a fuel for electrical power generation. and it doesn't matter that it will also reduce the availability of electricity. Bloody insanity. Posted by: Gerry Stoppleoffski at August 08, 2015 08:15 AM (H5bOq) 164

So let me put this very carefully. It might not be paranoid of Cohen to worry that there are powerful forces out to get his boss. Consider the case I made yesterday for why Trump's candidacy is eventually doomed: Most importantly, the Republican Party is vehemently opposed to his nomination, a wee bit of a problem for Trump since it's the Republican Party's nomination to bestow. Yes, there are rules that govern the nomination process, but it's the Republican Party that establishes the rules, interprets the rules and, if it absolutely had to, could change the rules. In the (unlikely) event that Trump survived the campaign long enough to have a mathematical chance at the nomination, influential members of the Republican Party would be expected to coordinate -- some might even say conspire -- to deny it to him.
The party has a lot of other tricks to deploy before it comes to that, however, including working to influence the tenor of the media coverage of the campaign. h/t fivethirtyeight.com This is what I was afraid would happen to Cruz. They make their own rules. Like this entire administration is right now. So dangerous. Trust no one. That is why we need a third party, but, alas, that would soon be corrupted... I don't get why everyone is so up in arms about the debate moderators. If these candidates can't handle that kind of pressure, they have no chance when the real dance begins.
Megan,Chris and Brett were doing them all a favor. Trump should have been more prepared to deal with it. I don't know who is advising him, but it must be an echo chamber. He came across (both during and since) as whiny. Posted by: Czar Peter at August 08, 2015 08:27 AM (yvcVl) 171

Erick Erickson is a Fox News contributor (since 2013). I noticed he's been getting more airtime lately. I guess he got the call from Rupert to disinvite the Donald and invite Megyn to RSG.
And good mornin' y'all. Posted by: olddog in mo at August 08, 2015 08:29 AM (4G861) 173
I am enjoying to know end Trump putting Megyn Kelly in her place. Women like her are too uppity and need to be taught respect for someone of Donald Trump's statue. Traditional white Americans have had enough of minorities acting up and rogue women like Kelly acting out of line. We are taking our nation back by supporting Donald Trump.

I'm amazed that many of you can't see this for what it is. The left has mastered the art of sowing FUD and division within republican and conservative ranks. It's all part of the plan. The FiveThirtyEight assertion that there is a GOP plot to take out Trump was written to cause division. Too many people just don't see all this for what it is. The left has no shot at the next election unless they can create enough division that sufficient numbers of middle and right voters either stay home or vote third party. The left is encouraging this with a highly tuned apparatus. They play for keeps. They do not fight fair and they will never stop.
Posted by: Czar Peter at August 08, 2015 08:41 AM (yvcVl) 179
If the movers and shakers push Trump out without addressing the things that are leading people to say they support him, they risk worsening the division and confirming the notion that the leadership doesn't give a shit about any opinion but their own.
