We watched Expendables 3 last night...
There was a sincere, non-comedic moment in the movie where Benghazi was mentioned. I was stunned. It was an acknowledgement that there were men (aka patriots) that tried to help. You rarely see this.
Fun blow up movie. Lots of subtle "inside" jokes.

Just. Damn. The amount of stoopid some of these bored housewives spew is mind boggling.
I especially enjoy the thread of comments about the city truck that drives through the streets spraying for mosquitoes.
Some of these twits actually think that by putting a little red flag that they got from the city on the I lawn, they're saving the environment.
Apparently, the gut I supposed to turn off the sprayed as he drives by your 50 ft wid lot, and that saves you and your kids from dangerous chemicals.

Ditto. It seems we've had an explosion of lost dogs / cats since NextDoor went up for our neighborhood. Three and four of them a day. Also found out my neighbor's wife (heretofore quiet and on waving / headnod / vacation watch terms) is a raving moonbat.
A poster asked how to report potential deed restriction violations to the HOA as the house next door to him was a rental and was being used by multiple families. Every reply but one gave useful and helpful info on what to do / who to contact.
She replied that she was grievously offended by the question as many families can't afford a nice house by themselves and that house sharing may be the only way some families can live in a nice neighborhood. A deed-restricted, single family housing, nice neighborhood like ours. SMH

That may be the 3rd stupidest thing I've ever heard.
First off- the reason they're spraying for mosquitoes is because the pests are carriers of diseases which can *kill you.* Even if the chemical were bad for you, "health problems" still indicate that you are, get this, alive.
Dos- the truck driver probably doesn't even see your stupid red flag, and he certainly doesn't have time to turn off the spray and turn it back on special for your house.
Drie- Even if the truck driver *could* turn off the spray for your special-snowflake-ness, because of point 1 that would be *bad.* Those mosquitoes are not going to stay in your yard, you dolt, they're going to fly everywhere - potentially spreading disease across a fairly wide range.

Where open and honest discussion is banned because it stresses out people.
I used to actually respond to questions about things like County Code, parking, trash collections schedule, and so on.
Then I realized that just like in real life, these people are intellectually non-inquisitive, and lazy.
They refuse to buy their own tools.
They refuse to raise their own children
They refuse to pick up their own dog shit
They bitch when people remove valuables from inside their unlocked cars overnight.
They expect cars to dodge their children playing in the streets.
It's each and every one of their individual worlds.

He (or his handlers) are not stupid. Everything they've done has had a (sometimes) hidden (as yet) agenda and it was clearly stated by him when he ran for office.
Like all good con artists, what he said could have been taken any number of ways and most everyone took them to mean positive things. (except for some on the right)
Those people were wrong and many of them have yet to even recognize that they were wrong because they're idea of what this country is and should be differs drastically from what you or I do.
What will become increasingly clear even to those who are still unclear is that all that was done and all the resulting "change" has been for the worse and that living in this country is about to become more than just difficult and contentious. It's about to become lethal.
The Fed will time the inflation increase to take place once the new President takes office. They will barely have time to get their cabinet approved by Congress and we will be in deep deep kim chi.
All those who are unclear on who's fault this is will blame the now current administration for all their woes (and there will be many as the belt is tightened).

What's worse is that an amendment was put up for the highway bill (you know, one of those "poison pills" on a "must pass" bill, like the Democrats use all the time?), and Yertle wouldn't even bring the amendment up for a vote.
Had it come up for a vote, it would have passed - attaching to the highway bill. And then the highway bill would either have been killed by Democrats (which a real opposition party could use to say the Democrats don't want to fund "needed infrastructure,") or vetoed by the President (again: see possible vectors for a real opposition party).
