A couple of weeks ago the whole "where are the bees?" bullshit was restarted again. Bill Maher even did his part by bringing an "expert" on his show to make shit up about it. Global Warming, of course.

So, naturally, we need to ban things and tax things, of course. Because that's what the bees are telling us.

And...

"Uhm, The thing about eating the Black and White cookie, Elaine, is you want to get some black and some white in each bite. 35 The bees? They have stingers that are clearly phallic stand-ins. When they attack they thrust those faux penises into the victim. Obviously they are contributing to the culture of rape. And when they sting/rape, they die. So the death of the bees just proves that rape is occurring over and over and over.

She is launching an early volley in support of Obama's plans to Federalize local zoning, what Mark Levin calls "Federalizing the Suburbs."

Per the NY Post article yesterday and on the heels of the recent Supreme Court decision approving of the gross overreach of the Fair Housing act, the administration is putting together a massive race-focused Database of Everything. One outcome, among many, will be to force cities with high-density minority populations to disperse those populations into underrepresented, i.e. higher-income areas in order to continue to receive Federal Funding.

Gross, and creepy.

National Security Expert Slams Hillary's 'Assault' On Free Speech

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton put her willingness to defend the Constitution in serious doubt when she promised Islamic countries the United States government would intimidate Americans who violate their free speech code, national security expert Stephen Coughlin told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

As Secretary of State, Clinton promised an international Islamic organization in 2011 that the United States government would "use some old-fashioned techniques of peer pressure and shaming" to intimidate Americans who improperly criticize Islam or Muhammad.

"An official of the United States, in an official communique, went to a foreign land to commit to a foreign leader that the United States Government would engage in the extra-legal practice of intimidating American citizens in the exercise of what is otherwise their protected free speech rights under the First Amendment," Coughlin told TheDCNF.

Bee "societies" are matriarchal and essentially all female.

The male bees are drones, who dump their sperm into the queen and are then driven away from the hive.

Thus, The Death of Bees(TM) is an insidious plot by the Patriarchy-

to not only destroy perfect matriarchal societies but to prove that matriarchy cannot work.

Now, you too can "think" like an SJW.

Posted by: Social Science Nerd at July 19, 2015 12:14 PM (OZmbA)

140 Beekeepers always like to point out that honeybees pollinate the agricultural crops we eat. Without beekeepers, they claim, we would not be able to eat a long list of fruits and vegetables. Even if crops do currently require honeybee pollination, that is no reason to further exploit bees by consuming honey, beeswax, bee pollen, etc. The fact that everything in our society is based on animal exploitation shouldn't surprise us since Western civilization literally began with the "domestication" (i.e., enslavement) of animals. Dead animals are used to build roads, but this doesn't justify eating animals. Furthermore, it is unreasonable (not to mention idiotic) not to use roads because they contain dead animals. (Similarly, it is illogical not to eat certain foods because bees were used to pollinate them.) People make these sorts of arguments about meat to avoid discussing the real issue at hand. The beekeepers' argument is no different. The whole question of pollination is nothing more than an attempt to divert attention away from the fact that they are exploiting animals and that honey is the product of animal exploitation.

145 While ultimately it seems desirable to have few to no honeybee colonies, in the short term, the irresponsible behavior of beekeepers is actually increasing their monopoly on pollination. Farmers who used to rely on feral honeybees for pollination must now rent managed colonies. The pollination situation reached a crisis point and honeybeekeepers emerged as the savior when, in fact, they are at the root of the problem. Additionally, the spread of Africanized honeybees will displace European honeybees and threaten the ability to manage colonies easily. Farmers have become dependent on honeybees, but someday soon, beekeepers in some areas may simply be unable to provide colonies for pollination. And, yes, the Africanized honeybee is completely man's fault--it was accidentally released from an experiment in South America and continues to spread northward.

This.

This is why that "the science is settled" shit really annoys actual scientists. No science is ever "settled," ever. Some of the apparently soundest notions of science - Newtonian mechanics, conservation of parity - were subsequently shown to be substantially in error or inadequate. Physical scientists are surprised all the time; even climastrologists are surprised, as for example by the 17 year hiatus in "global warming."

"Social" scientists, OTOH, are never surprised. Their data always bear out their original hypotheses. I guess they're just a lot smarter than we are, and were just hiding their brain power when we took hard science classes together.

Add in what we have learned about other solar systems.

Our solar system seems to be one of the quiet, stable ones, and was likely very different early in its life.

Others solar systems are like madhouses. Planets bigger than Jupiter orbiting so close to their parent stars they circle it in just a few days, for example.

I am glad to hear there are still some scientists left that admit they don't know everything.

Too many of them these days see themselves as high priests or catalogers.

A very good friend of mine from college (a math major) is now (after a stint in finance, etc.) on the shady side of the hill teaching high school math in a less than stellar area.

Apparently, it's soul-destroying. Kids are stupid and lazy, don't give a crap, don't do the work, in short, pretty much reflect their parents' values. He hates it. And being conservative, also hates the teacher's union, to which he must perforce belong and pay dues. Putting up with brain-dead liberal education majors is just an added bonus.

259 Oh, for the bee thing? Easy.

Feminists love bees. Bees are their spirit animals. Why? Because Bees (and certain spiders, but spiders are yucky) are one of the few creatures that living in matriarchal society.

Now, before you laugh too hard -- think about. The entire colony lives or dies based on the Queen bee. Who has many suitors and basically sits around all day controlling her minions while her minions do all the actual work.

So if bee colonies are dying off, that means the feminists spirit animals must be mad. And like scorned gods, they are sending a sign to the patriarchies of the world that they cannot survive without matriarchal creatures like honey bees, who do the important work of pollinating our flowers.

Make sense?

Posted by: mynewhandle at July 19, 2015 01:05 PM (AkOaV)

260 What it means is that the "colonizing" of disadvantaged communities by the white patriarchal privileged class is not sustainable. Colonizing, in this context, refers to cultural appropriation and generalized oppression. The fact that this is unsustainable is evidenced by the die off of the bee population (for some reason).

Buddy of mine did that after law school. Taught history. Wanted to "make an impact" on his community. Kind of a liberal type, more LIV than anything.

His eyes were opened very quickly. The stories he told -- I mean, I believe it!

But essentially the kids were entirely unconcerned with learning, their parents had no control over them and did not care if their kids were not learning. They also took any criticism of their children as being "racist" or "ignorant" and essentially everyone in the entire district had just "checked out". They go through the motions of teaching, but essentially they see themselves as part time prison guards keeping an eye on the yutes for 7 hours (or whatever), and thats about it.

Send the medical bill to the same office where it's reviewed to make sure it's an actual veteran receiving the care and then paid.

Problem solved.

There are two large public high schools in the city where I live. One is the affluent one; the other is more, cough, "urban". The teachers I knew worked at the urban one.

They were completely hamstrung by their administration. They'd gotten a new principal, who had noticed that the down market school had a much higher suspension and expulsion rate than the up market one. She decided this Needed Fixing.

Her solution was... To stop suspending and expelling students. The students, who aren't smart but are very gifted in feral cunning, realized that they now effectively wouldn't be punished for anything they did, and became basically uncontrollable.

277 259 Oh, for the bee thing?

Make sense?

282 Back when I was in school in the 60s, i remember books and wall charts about the solar system. All of the moons except our own were shown as featureless dots. Almost nothing was known about them. I naively assumed that all of those small worlds were probably like our Moon--airless bodies covered with craters, and not all that interesting.

Now that they've been visited, we know that each one is utterly unique and individual. They all have rich and complex histories, which cry out for further exploration.

All of this has happened during my lifetime. All of it. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have lived during the first great Age of Exploration of the solar system.

Here's a great video made before New Horizons encountered Pluto, which recaps the first encounters of all the planets. It's best viewed in HD on a big screen:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aky9FFj4ybE

My only quibble is that it should have included Russia's Luna 1 flyby of the Moon in 1959, which marked the true beginning of the exploration of the solar system beyond Earth.

297 #281: I was quick to dismiss the whole idea, at first.

But I later found out that asexual isn't a single orientation. It's a spectrum.

Sure, it includes some crazies like "tri-gendered robosexuals" or something like that, but here's something else it includes...

"heteroromantic demisexuals".

This means, people who are attracted to the opposite sex, but won't actually have sex with someone unless they're in a committed relationship.

In other words, exactly the sort of people social conservatives should be supporting, and holding up as examples of how people should live in general.

It's a shame that such people have to play lefty identity politics to avoid "prude-shaming" on the modern college campus, but the world is what it is.

Twitter's "syntax" such as it is, sucks donkey balls. Needs some sort of threading hierarchy.

Also, I would like to see somebody set up a Web site that would automatically create "burner" Twitter accounts. Go to the site, log in, get a "burner" account, and go post "You, poor, stupid c*nt." as a response, to say, Jess X. Chen, and move on. Of course it will get deleted, but if enough people did this, eventually the be-c*nted might just get a clue. Or not. But it would be fun in any case.

Which lay before the great flood
In the area we now call the Atlantic Ocean.

So great an area of land,
That from her western shores
Those beautiful worker bees journeyed
To the South and the North Americas with ease,
On their wings were painted signs.
To the East Africa was a neighbour,
Across a short strait of sea miles.
The great Egyptian age is

But a remnant of The Matriarchal Bee culture.

The antediluvian bees colonised the world
All the Gods who play in the mythological dramas
In all legends from all lands were from far Atlantis.

Knowing her fate,
Atlantis sent out swarms to all corners of the Earth.
On board were the Twelve:

The bee, the bee, the other bee, another bee,
The Queen and the other so-called Gods of our legends.
Though Gods they were -
And as the Patriarchy of our time chooses to remain blind
Let us rejoice
And let us buzz
And wiggle dance and ring in the new

Hail Atlantis!

I'll give them credit for a clever tactic. And, as I've said before, I fully expect Jeb to win the nomination. He's who the rulemakers want, and they have the whole process gamed out pretty extensively.

No, I havent but will try to catch it now. You mean Sukkot? Yes, I've heard of it. There is some controversy b/c some people build them in parking spaces on city streets or take up sidewalks causing kids to walk in busy streets.

After 9/11 I had to go to N. O. and it was a very sad time for me. I road around on the street cars and saw a number of these little houses that were quite pretty.

339 Jumped down to answer. Apologies if already dun.

Worker bees are female so is the queen only drones are male, their colonies are threatened. Fact!

Now you see, these bees are orange and black, orange and brown, mostly brown sometimes. Bees are female creatures of color, nobody much cares for having those stingy things around yet they're needed so they're pushed to the edges where they can keep to themselves and be tended without hurting anybody, they are marginalized, and their colonies are threatened, fact, and not sustainable.

Bees and bee colonies are the exact same thing as people considered in separate groups, female, color, marginalized, and I mean EXACTLY the same thing. Cept differnt.

348 272--- Obama's Dept-of-Ed racialist policies are making an already bad situation even worse.
If any school disciplines a "disproportionate" number of blacks, they will get their federal funding cut. This means that white and Asian students are disciplined for teeny-tiny infractions and blacks get a pass on anything short of a violent felony. Living hell.

The people I feel for the most are the minority of blacks in these neighborhoods who really DO want their kids to get an education. The whites and Asians can survive, albeit with difficulty. But the decent black kids are caught between idiotic government policy and the pressures of the "don't-act-white" thugs. They are screwed.

420 New lows, even for CNN:

Authorities in the U.S. and abroad are working to figure out what might have motivated the 24-year-old to shoot up a recruiting center in a strip mall in Chattanooga and then drive to a Navy operations support center about 7 miles away and stage another attack. He died in a gunfight with law enforcement.
[...]
Jordanian sources said he was able to freely travel to and from Jordan and had no known record of criminality or anything in his background that would suggest he was radicalized in his Islamic faith.

what's currently available. You can tell that some of the mom's are
perplexed with the trends.

So a destroyer sitting in the middle of San Francisco Bay is firing surface guns to try to kill a mega shark underwater. The shark of course gets pissed off, takes out the destroyer and eats the Golden Gate bridge.

Who writes this dreck and who actually pays money to produce it? Wow.

Not sure, but Asylum makes a bunch of movies and now Z Nation for Syfy.

They also make a bunch for NetFlix.

Sound like some smart guys. Get a cheesy premise, get some well known but past sell by date actors/singers, bad special effects, film it and sell to SyFy and Netflix knowing that they just need to get people like me that schlock movies to tune in. 3M viewers puts them in high cotton.

452 As impressed as I am with the off duty fire fighter taking the guy down. I am equally impressed with how well the police comported themselves in taking the man into custody.
It is in complete opposition to how I have encountered police on the wrong side of the law (speeding). When I was pulled over for speeding, the single cop held me at gunpoint on the ground for over half an hour while 5 additional cop cars, carrying two police officers each arrived all pointing guns at me face down on the ground. Only then did one of them lower their gun and come over and cuff me. All for simply speeding at 20 mph over the speed limit.

456 I think she is saying that bees die for the profit motive, because they are being taken from their home hives and trucked all over the country to pollinize fields. And that motive is at work when people of color and women are being utilized (colonized). Not to say I agree.
