Anyway, I want sunglasses for the summer. What do people do? Buy a pair of prescription sunglasses? Use those clip on lenses I've seen around? I can't use color shifting lenses because I often work on camera in the middle of a sunny field and I'd look like a douche wearing shades whenever they darkened up.

I've used all three. Been wearing glasses since I was about 10. The clip on lenses can be handy and aren't an awful solution. Prescription sunglasses are a pricier solution and more of a loss when you misplace them, but vision quality will probably be better with them.
I use the color change lenses because I will always have the "sunglasses" with me. That, and I'm lazy. I don't find that they interfere with photography, but I'm no pro.

Yep. A lot of people don't like it, but the Constitution does not give police powers to the Federal Government. So why does the Federal Government have multiple police agencies?

I have to respectfully disagree. Trump makes good copy, because he says outrageous (to leftists, and other purveyors of Received Truth) things, and that sells news. All news organizations are hurting right now, so a guy who draws eyeballs is worth his weight in gold dust to them. If it weren't for Trump, we'd be having another fucking shark summer as far as the MSM are concerned.
Turn it around: any MSM outfit who ignores him loses eyeballs to those who don't. It's kind of a virtuous version of the Kardashian effect.

Some of it makes sense; importation and exportation crimes, crimes involving transactions with other nations, immigration crimes, crimes involving crossing a state border, etc. But yeah, the federal criminal lawbooks have gotten awfully big.
Most of the embiggening has come from well-meaning crime busters turning state crimes into federal so the bad guys get stomped harder. Like kidnapping; why is that federal? Unless the kidnapper takes them across a state line, its not a federal issue no matter how awful.

I do not know his position on gay marriage. Gun ownership he's pretty damn good. He's come out wholly against all new laws and is big time in favor of conceal or open carry. See his interview in ammoland.
His positions on trade are fantastic.

I personally know of several very, very conservative--and proud Republican--blacks. Ones who are willing to go in front of a microphone and speak.
And the state and local GOP is happy . . . to let the speak.
But not run for office, I guess.
Gotta hold those seats for severe conservatives like Mitt Romney, John McCain, Arlen Spector, Mitch McConnall, Orin Hatch . . . and on and on.

If there's one thing the last ten years have taught anyone paying attention is that the left is perfectly willing to cut their own professional throats to serve the cause. If Trump was helping Republicans win votes and gain popularity with anyone other than conservatives, he'd have been ignored long ago no matter how much advertising he sells. They care more about their side winning than their jobs.

I wear soft contacts for vision correction, and good sunglasses when I need them. Cheap sunglasses around the yard at home. And I have color-changing specs to wear if I choose to forego the contacts for any reason.
