Fundamental Concepts - The Tao of Poo [Weirddave]

Every day, many of us look around and frankly wonder what's going on in this country of ours. It's obvious that President Obama has been a disaster for the country, but there is endless speculation as to the nature of the disaster, whether it's incidental or intentional. Is this all some malevolent plan, or simply the wages of unprecedented incompetence? Obama did promise to "fundamentally change" the US after all, but is this what he meant? You hear everything from grand, sweeping conspiracy theories ("If he was setting out to destroy the country, what would he do differently?") to despairing wails ("How could he not realize that *something bad* would happen if he did *something*"). My belief is that everyone is over thinking the issue. I'm a big believer in Occam's razor, and if you put two simple pieces of information together you get a very simple explanation for 7 years of insanity.

First of all, let's take Obama. What is he? By temperament and training, he is a community organizer. The thing is, that's one of those terms that sounds self explanatory but really it's not, in fact it means the opposite of what it seems to mean. The term "community organizer" was coined by Saul Alinsky to describe the people who he envisioned would destabilize society. The last thing an Alinskyite wants is for a community to be organized. An organized community is functioning smoothly, all of its parts meshing seamlessly. An organized community has no need for, nor desire for, an Alinskyite. No, the job of one of Alinsky's community organizers is to destabilize a community, to disorganize it. It is only when a community becomes disorganized that the politics of division can thrive and it is divided communities that are the end goal of Alinsky's disciples. Only when a community has been fatally divided against itself is it ripe for tearing down, to be replaced by a communal Utopia. Sowing this division is all Obama has done all his entire adult life. It is quite literally all he knows.

That's bad enough, but completing the toxic brew that we've been forced to quaff these past seven years is the fact that Obama as President is the de-facto head of the Democrat Party, and the Democrat party is absolutely dependent on the factionalization of society for its success. The Democrat Party is the party of identity politics, the party of conflict, the party of "us" against "them", and they survive by making people believe that they are the only chance "us" has to keep from being overwhelmed by whatever "them" is the boogyman of the week. The Democrat Party is the living embodiment of the most perfect quote regarding politics that I've ever heard. H.L. Mencken, the illustrious "Sage of Baltimore", once observed "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary". Now, that's not to say that the Republicans don't do the same thing, they do, but theoretically at least the Republican Party has some principles behind it. Yes, you can stop laughing now, I said theoretically. The Democrat Party, however, has no principles beyond an unbridled lust for power, and the way they achieve that power is by pitting groups against each other.

So now let's put those two together, shall we? Obama's training and temperament lead him to play factions off against each other. His party is absolutely dependent on that happening. I contend that the simplest explanation for all of the decisions made by Obama during his time as president. In every instance he's asked himself "What can I do that will further drive people apart?". I doubt that he's even doing it consciously. That doesn't mean that isn't doing it. I can't think of a single major incident in his presidency where this pattern hasn't held true, and on top of that, there are dozens of minor incidents that Obama has weighed in on, always divisively, that should be far below the level of presidential attention (Remember Professor Gates? That's a situation worthy of presidential intervention? In what universe?).

The office of president is bestowed upon a person who is elected to lead ALL Americans for a single term, more if he can convince them to re-elect him. ALL Americans. However vicious an election may be, once elected, a president is supposed to represent everybody. Of course, presidents are human and this isn't fantasy land, so this remains an ideal, but it is an important ideal in a UNITED country, like the UNITED States. All 43 presidents before Barack Obama generally tried to observe this convention, or at least pay lip service to it; but with Obama, as we've seen, it's so far from his being that you might as well expect a plant to walk. I don't believe the man is capable of it, if you suggested that he act as his predecessors acted he'd look at you askance for even suggesting such a thing. It's literally beyond his ken.

I don't have to tell you how dangerous this is, we're living it, a real life version of the old "It's my nature" scorpion and frog joke, which is terrifying. The person responsible for oiling the gears of society is instead throwing sand into them, and has been for years. The only reason the social machine that is America hasn't ground to a halt yet is because of how robustly it was over engineered, but the bearings are smoking, the valves are knocking and the whole thing is groaning like an alligator in heat. It'll be a frickin' miracle if we live through it.

I honestly believe that that's it. There are other layers involved, of course. In this column I'm dealing with the micro, not the macro. For example, critical theory and the Frankfort school are still a thing and are culpable in most of this too, but that's big picture stuff. I'm focusing on one man, Obama, and discussing small picture stuff. The murder of Kate Steinle didn't lend itself to immediate division (very few people are going to willingly envision themselves on the same side as a 5 times deported psychotic criminal) so Obama limited himself to a weak call for gun control. On the other hand, after Dylann Roof did his despicable deed the people of Charleston did a remarkable thing (that shouldn't be remarkable at all). They came together as Americans, white and black, male and female, conservative and liberal, and absolutely rejected the politics of division. Al Sharpton headed south, as did DeRay, and the blood soaked gears or racial grievance machine started to grind....until it was SHUT DOWN! Shut down by the people of Charleston who remember who they were (Americans) and what that means. Shut down bay a community that was actually organized. Shut down by good people. The race baiters were sent scurrying with their tails between their legs. That's what the whole Confederate Battle Flag (Grrr! Naval Jack! The battle flag is SQUARE - pedantic historian Weirddave) flap has been about. The grievance machine rolled into Charleston expecting to foment another Baltimore or Ferguson riot, and it was rejected soundly. Americans acted like Americans, and that was a huge threat to the dividers. Almost everyone can see that the CBF outrage is beyond stupid, but we are being MADE to care about it because otherwise we might just remember that we all have much more in common than we do differences, and in that remembrance is the end of the Democrat Party and an utter rejection of everything Barack Obama really is. We can't have that, can we?

As to the title of this piece, well, anyone who would deliberately set out to destroy cohesiveness and sow division would pretty much be a real shit, wouldn't he?

Skip Gates, the lavishly compensated and lifetime-tenured black Harvard professor, decided after his altercation with the Cambridge cops that The Man Iz Keepin' A Brutha Down.

So he called three friends to complain about marginalization and powerlessness and lack of respect for blacks. Who were those three friends? The black mayor of Cambridge, MA. The black governor of Massachusetts. And the black President of the United States.

The total number of publicly visible Republican figures who called this out for its grandiose ridiculousness: zero.

11 Obama's destruction of the country is definitely deliberate. At this stage his motive is one only for speculation. The shame of it all is that
America (or at least the media representation of it) is eating itself up from the inside. It may be impossible to turn things around at this late date.

Instead I said, "I think we will have world war and economic devastation from this election. We're older, but I truly hope our children all survive this decision. You folks voted for this and I cannot believe it."

Didn't go over well at the time, but in retrospect, who looks more correct so far?

Oh yes. Absolutely. Division is very very bad.

We must have, instead of Division, Unity.

Unity under the aegis of the all-encompassing nanny state.

Which will Protect all of us Unified together.

Protecting our Unity from insidious cultural influences. Such as flags of countries which ceased to exist over a century and a half ago.

I'm sure we can all uniformly agree in our Unity that in the name of spurning Division, all evil thoughts, or indeed anything which might spark evil thoughts, or which may at some point in the long distant past have been associated with evil thoughts, must be sternly suppressed.

Illogic,
Thoughts dominated by slogan (war on women, trigger effect, etc.,
Indolence on the part of the public,
Absence of any knowledge of economics,
Absence of any knowledge of history and the present tendency toward its destruction (rebel flag, seeing the past in terms of the class struggle, etc.)

There are others of course but I have a feeling that if we can give this age a name which incorporates its distinction we may be headed in the right direction in the sense that a problem must be defined prior to its solution.

A hearty thanks to the many suggestions.

33 One thing, I think you discount at your peril is that-

Obama is a creature of the most corrupt city of the most corrupt county of the most corrupt state in the union.

A lot of his politics is "You gave me money. What do you want? Oh? Well, that will cost you more money."

His gay marriage and "green" policies and I suspect foreign policy are no more complicated than that.

It's the Chicago Way that is so dangerous.

The corruption is so lucrative to the politicians that even the Dims supposed opposition, the Reps line up for the crumbs that fall from the table.

Once that goes national, America is well and truly lost.

And it may be already, I don't think you have to explain Boehner/McConnell's complete refusal to do anything their supporters want beyond that.

But, yeah, community organizer. I've been saying that for years.

And usually I'm met with a blank stare -

36 People are crazy. And not just the Dem sheeple.

I am astounded that people cannot be proud of the Confederate Battle Flag and the heroics of the Confederate army and still acknowledge that the southern political and donor class of 1859-60 pushed through secession because they were not going to let those "abolitionist republicans (think modern tea party equivalent) who pushed out the Whigs who understood politics" tell us we cant continue having slavery.

I read many of the secession statements and SC and MS come right out and say so -- TX states other good reasons and then there was a lot of "Republicans aren't a valid party " weasel wording from other confederate states.

I keep hearkening back to the interview with civil rights icon Percy Sutton on an obscure NYC public access channel, back before Obama's presidential run.

Sutton said, almost as an aside, that he had been called up years before, by an individual who he identified only as "one of the wealthiest men in the world". That rich benefactor was aware that Sutton had an inside line with the Harvard community, and wished for Sutton to pull strings there to get someone, someone who was at that time totally unknown to Sutton, into Harvard Law School.

I assume I don't have to explain the identity of the Harvard applicant who required a leg up in the process.

The way has been smoothed for Obama for longer than most of us realize. At some point, much larger external forces than merely "upper-middle-class parent money" began to alter his trajectory. With a clear intent in mind.

39 The micro merges with the macro -- in every small thing he's done are the elements of the greater plan for dissolution and control. "The issue is never the issue," Alinsky famously said. That is, every small thing the social atomizers do is done with the greater issue in mind. You're right -- EVERYTHING he's done has been wrong for America, for the notion of e pluribus unum. The conspiracy theory needs no more proof.

41 Torque, there is a difference between regimented unity forced on by the power to exclude, sanction and punish, and there is unity which is a community of individuals who have common goals who work together to try to accommodate them.

this conflation of terms causes problems: so I suggest this test.

is this unity created by allowing the children to work things out on their own to satisfy their own needs and wants, or is this unity imposed from without, turning the society into an open prison operated by the prisoners to achieve ends not of the prisoners' choosing?

46 The mistake with this sort of analysis is that you can't do someone like Obama in a vacuum. In many ways he has never been anything more than a figurehead.

Never.

He can occasionally come up with what appear to be his own words, his own spin on what is happening, but when he does those are the times when even lefties are scratching their heads, wondering what he's talking about.

His role, the one he has had for most of his adult life, is to be the face of a movement. Others behind the scenes do the work, he basks in the "glory."

It served the dual purpose of allowing the real workers to work, shielding them from sight, AND allowing the identity figurehead to be a weapon that can be used either offensively or defensively, as the situation needs.

In other words, he's an illusion. He IS the squirrel, and people spend a lot of time and energy concentrating on him, rather than focusing on what's really going on in the background, unseen, and unmolested.

53 I think a key contributing factor is that for all intents and purposes, Obama is not American. I'm not talking about his birthplace, but his life experience and sensibilities. When we were in grade school learning about the presidents, in boy/girl scouts, little league, getting together for big Thanksgiving and July 4th celebrations --- Obama was in Indonesia. He simply does not have the basic upbringing steeped in, surrounded by American history, values, and culture. Added to that his closest relatives were Communists and America-haters, so no chance Stanley Ann was providing any counter to what Barack was learning in his school and from Indonesian friends.

55 Another great post, Weirddave.

One of the big things that got TFG elected twice was his image of nothingness: he was the blank canvas upon which his idiot supporters painted their picture of, um, something, I don't know what. Add in the MFM's failure to even check if he gave his fellow classmate a haircut in school and you have the perfect Storm of Stoopid.

And yeah, his "occupation" was a giant red flag for a lot of folks (SWIDT?). Again, his history was never even analyzed, let alone questioned. His roots were deeply anti-American, from his radical whore of a mother to his leftarded grandparents who groomed him until the Professional Socialists were able to begin his packaging for orifice for public consumption. He then launched his preezy bid in the living room of an avowed terrorist, with the anti-Christ George Soros looking on, nodding his horns in approval of his son, in whom he was well pleased.

So here we are, seven years into what has been a disaster for a once-great country that has seemingly been quite content to allow to be led around like cattle, lying and obfuscating, twisting both the truth and language to deceive the public into doing something that, were it adequately informed, it would never, ever do: elect a domestic enemy bent on the total destruction of its history, principles, law and way of life. That there are so few in power who are willing to even slow down the destruction, we may never recover from this bleak period of history.

Given that TFG had the opportunity to finally lay the accusations of racism in America to rest, he hasn't done it and has in fact used false charges of racism to further divide a country that was already peacefully diverse. This is but one example of the many opportunities that TFG had to follow through on his campaign promise to fix a lot of the broken things in politics. He has instead doubled down on his division because he knows that a house divided cannot stand.

60 I once thought it was accidental incompetence.

But after nearly 7 years of near dictatorship at times and a nearly daily shredding of the Constitution, combined with the actions of the media, professorial elitists and other assorted Social Justice Whores, it HAS to be intentional.

These pathetic motherfuckers got the door opened for them by Obama and his ilk, and they ran through it at full speed.

At this point I'm ok with division. I refuse to be united in any situation with what I call the Pathetic Left, even in the event of another terrorist attack.

Our greatest enemies are not foreign, but domestic. Not Al-Qaeda or ISIS, but people like Obama, Jarret, Biden, and the Hildebeast AND their supporters. They must be fought.

And if a whole lot of them end up dead from a suitcase bomb or something, you won't see me crying about it at all.

I learned that when a news article referred to Rahm Emmanuel's Secret Service detail last year, and I said, wait, what? You make one of the best early observations on this President. That you can't flip quarters and get heads 20x in a row. It isn't random.

The same could be said for the stunning success of western society at large, despite its fits and stumbles. Saying it's dominance (until recently) is random or luck is suggesting 2000 years of flipping a coin and getting heads.

I think the distinction you're elucidating here is between unity (as in e pluribus unum) and uniformity. They are absolute opposites.

So, it's both incompetence AND malfeasance.

Last summer NYT unintentionally pulled the curtain back on a report about how Obama was handling the Ferguson mess from Martha's Vinyard. Think about that when you recall how they stood down to rioters and made other mind-boggling decisions that escalated the riots. It was done on Valerie's advice (or insistence?).

This is true. Once upon a time, the term "silent majority" was coined, to refer to the average American who was NOT on board with the lefties who have a vice grip control on culture, but all-too-often go along without saying anything.

It's probably less true today than it was when the term was coined, but I think it is to a large extent, still true. People have been trained to tolerate a warped view of this country imposed by a culture that is a wing of the leftist power structure.

The main difference now is of course, they have been in control of the education system for enough time that they are churning out their indoctrinated minions.

Let me give an example most of us would probably agree a cafe has to serve everyone, they can't refuse service to say Latinos. But it really isn't a private business now but a business that serves at the pleasure of the government. For good or ill that is the result. The edges of society will always be rough and 'unjust' and without restraint all can be fundamentally changed. What used to work now doesn't. Remember there is no limits on governments doing 'good' and they do it with force.

These two groups are the useful idiots and the prog/Marxist elites.

The elites invoke the bogeyman-du-jour in order to manipulate the LIV's fear of individual liberty, thus allowing them to exert control over those that they themselves fear.

103 53 I think a key contributing factor is that for all intents and purposes, Obama is not American.

Obama is symptom, not cause.

Societies also follow Darwinian concepts of survival of the fittest, and we created an overly SAFE society.

The Media, and Schools, have been tearing down our own culture for about 50 years... they no longer defend it, but actively attack it...

Creating a perception that it is totally evil and not worth saving.

So splinter groups attack it, and no one defends it.

Then you add in the STAFF that Obama brought, who do not understand that the only thing keeping them safe, is the very rule of law that THEY are actively tearing down...

And I see chaos on the horizon...

Posted by: Sasquatch, the trans-Wookie Original at July 11, 2015 11:42 AM (LXGhS)

You can't hit an 800 foot home run, much less a 1000 foot one. The amount of bat speed it would take would rip the arms off the hitter, and frankly the ball cannot sustain that amount of speed. It is not aerodynamically designed to retain its structural integrity beyond a certain point, and that point would be much less than it would take to travel 800-1000 feet.

Don't be silly.

125 103 53 I think a key contributing factor is that for all intents and purposes, Obama is not American.

Posted by: Lizzy at July 11, 2015 11:15 AM (NOIQH)

Completely true - but the baffling thing is that people who were born and raised here, people who grew up scouting and playing in Little League and watching fireworks on the 4th of July think he's just wonderful.

It's a mistake to think that everyone who voted for him hates America or shares his goals or is on welfare. I have relatives who voted for him who will tell you very sincerely that "America is the greatest country on earth" They just don't examine the contradictions in their own thought processes or challenge what the media tells them. 131 "The Kennedy's are Chicago they signed off on Barry."

The Kennedys are not Chicago. There's a huge sleazy machine there that blurs to invisibility the line between organized crime and politics, but it's not their machine.

Family patriarch Joe was on pleasant terms with, but not of, the Chi-town mob. Similarly with the municipal and regional crime families throughout the country.

Joe had a cold-eyed and pragmatic policy of not making enemies in La Cosa Nostra. He didn't get involved in internal LCN squabbles. He didn't attempt to muscle them. A friend to all, an enemy to none, as far as the mob was concerned.

That lasted right up through the 1960 election, where organized crime influence helped get son Jack into the Oval Office. Then everything went to hell for the relations between the Kennedys and the mafiosi.

Joe stroked out and became aphasically incapacitated. His old amicable relationships with mob bosses, which relied on his direct regular personal contacts, fell off to nothing.

Note also that the psychology of mob figures is wolfish: to respect strength and despise weakness. When any prominent figure in the orbit of LCN falls ill, no made man says, "Gee, poor fellow." They instead start to calculate how to advantage themselves given that change in circumstances. They of course did this with Joe Kennedy.

Meanwhile, Jack and Bobby Kennedy, lacking their dad's instinctive acumen, started trying to play favorites between regional mob groups, and between particular families in regions like New York. That's what the whole Judith Exner thing was about. She was a cutout in back-channel negotiations. (Rumoredly, also Frank Sinatra, a buddy of both of the elder Kennedy brothers, and a longtime mob hanger-on.)

Bobby meanwhile, as Attorney General, started using the Justice Department against LCN factions who weren't paying what the Kennedys considered due respect to the Kennedy clan. A protection racket operating with federal agents.

And, several key underworld movers were furious over JFK's failure at the Bay of Pigs to see through the toppling of Castro and the restoration of their nationalized investments in Cuba. Further poisoning relations.

I'm not one of those "the mob killed the Kennedys" theorists, but the mob must have certainly been happy to see the last of the elder brothers. And Teddy, the dim and distant younger brother, never had any major involvement with the mob, not least because of the lasting schism created by Jack and Bobby. Observe how fast the family political power fell off as a result. They're increasingly negligible.

Its sad to me, that our Founding Fathers put things in the Constitution which we then ignore.... which leads to trouble.

The Founders put in the 'Native Born' requirement for President, and President only, because they were afraid of the entanglements of Dual Citizenship. There are LEGAL concerns with dual citizens, as well as LOYALTY concerns.

They wanted to ensure the Commander in Chief of the US was an American, and American only.

B. Obama was born, by his own admission, a US and British Commonwealth dual Citizen.

We now see the results of ignoring the wisdom of the Founders.

I also assume it was a commie or fellow traveler. I do believe there are networks that operate clandestinely to do that sort of thing. If that sounds too tin-foil hatty, consider the Underground Railroad of the slavery days, and the various Resistance groups in Europe during WWII. The French Resistance almost to a man comprised the erstwhile French Communist Party, which was accustomed to operating in a clandestine, cell-type fashion, and was the only crew with the discipline, organization, and security to resist effectively.

Posted by: just saying at July 11, 2015 11:53 AM (wkuqO)

It used to happen a lot 100+ years ago, because they would keep the same ball in play until it fell apart. You can see old photos where the ball looks almost black. Nowadays they remove the ball from play when it gets scuffed.

Posted by: rickl at July 11, 2015 12:14 PM (sdi6R)

179 You can't hit an 800 foot home run, much less a 1000 foot one.

The science is settled.

181 Speaking of commies and fellow travelers, and thinking about the Frankfurt School I just went to Wikipedia out of curiosity, and found this gem:

According to Chip Berlet, who specializes in the study of extreme right-wing movements, the Cultural Marxism conspiracy theory found fertile ground with the development of the Tea Party movement in 2009, with contributions published in the American Thinker and WorldNetDaily highlighted by some Tea Party websites.[58]

Oh, "Chip Berlet" specializes in the study of "extreme right-wing movements," which the paragraph links to the Tea Party.

Turns out "Chip Berlet" was a paralegal at the National Lawyers Guild, a notorious Communist front. But the quoted paragraph above makes him sound like an impartial observer, with no hint that his characterization should be taken with a dump truck full of salt.

Thanks, Wiki fellow traveler!

It's struck me that that is also the Achilles heel of capitalism. Small businessmen might be all in favor of free trade and small government, but once that their businesses become big, they'll form alliances with the government to shut out the competition. Conservatives have never thought it wrong to make a buck, but now we're seeing that the Chamber of Commerce is completely willing to disregard the well being of the country because they're so focused on making a buck.

I guess Lenin really was right when he said the capitalists would sell the commies the rope the commies would hang them with.

Still using logic, reason, syllogistically thinking through things, while foregoing rhetoric avoiding emotion and still caring about costs of things. I wholeheartedly agree with this. Conservative thought is based on old school Scholasticism. The role of reason in mainstream philosophy has been discarded for at least 250 years. It has during that time been supplanted by variations of personal an impersonal will. Conservatism certainly appeals to reason, but it has neglected to assert its will. I wonder if "conservative will" might even be an oxymoron.

203 I said this here recently but it bears repeating. Obama is what he is. If we view him as the cancer killing the body America, then we the citizens are the three pack a day smokers of unfiltered menthols for the last 50 years. Alinsky merely appreciated and codified how to use our habit against us.

I agree with the OP on every principle mentioned. I'm just adding my observation to the mix I did.

Posted by: Commissar M at July 11, 2015 12:58 PM (KSF9t)

204 So in the first paragraph you call people conspiracy theorists for asking what Obama would do differently to destroy the country. You say that's over-thinking it.

Then in your next paragraph you detail a not-so-simple explanation of how his philosophy is to destroy the country so that it can be remade. So what makes you think that asking the question "What would he do differently?" is substantively any different from your analysis?

It's simply a rhetorical device. It's not very persuasive to condescend to people *with whom you actually agree* simply because they don't express their opinion in your preferred manner.

210 Yes, open-one, Obama's spent his entire pre-electoral career as a paid professional Alinsky communist sower and exploiter of division, and he still doing the same thing, just at a much higher salary.

But he is not JUST an Alinsky communist. He is also a lifelong racist, who wished he could purge the white blood from his own body, he and a thoroughly orthodox Muslim, which means he is an Islamofascist. It was ORTHODOX Islam that attacked us on 9/11, and orthodox Islam's primary instruction to Muslims who are living in infidel countries is that, if the infidels don't already know that they are Muslims, they should PRETEND TO BE INFIDELS, the better to advance Islamic conquest from the other side.

"He sure doesn't SEEM orthodox..." Duh. Learn something about Islam. We're talking about one of the most famous of all the hadiths (the reported sayings of Muhammad), the one that ends "for war is deception." Google it. Tabari 8.23.

Occam's razor would just say to go with, "Obama is stupider than a tampon sandwich," but the simplest explanation is not always the right explanation, and Obama's evil is baroque in its layers of Harkonnian sadism.

It was a hat tip to who was running things now, and such a bold statement was made possible by a complicit MSM and a populace ignorant of history.

213 This is a good take, but it misses the important factor of the liberal voter. These idiots BELIEVE that they are both more intelligent and more moral than the rest of us, and we need to led for our own good. Those of us that occasionally deal with liberals note that they NEVER admit when their idiot policies fail. Obamacare failure? nope, didn't happen. Fast and Furious? Republican lies!!!!! And on and on for any failure of their belief system. Remember, they think that they are better people than you are. Which is why they hate Christianity so much, as it provides an alternative belief system. At least the Christians ADMIT they are based on FAITH and not the "reality" that liberals base thier own dogma on.

214 Occam's razor isn't a religious dogma. If the explanation doesn't account for the factors and observed events, then it needs to be more complex to account for such. So as applied to Newton's Laws, he only needed to explain what happens in the solar system, or at most, what happens on this planet with the apples. If it doesn't explain the additional factors and observed events in the universe... that's what quantum mechanics is for, a significantly more "complicated" set of theories, that perversely are also more difficult to prove. If a razor is enough for a job, then use the razor. If one needs a nuke or dynamite, then one needs it. There's no functional reason related to what people want to use, when it is insufficient for the job at hand.

On another note, if a sufficient advanced incompetent were to try blowing up America, they would probably blow their own homes up, like Ayers' buddies did. So to say that it's indistinguishable from Hussein, is taking magic and technology and applying it clumsily to human acts of war. It's not suited for it, the intellectual thinking must be rebuilt from the ground up for that one.

America was always fated for this, ever since America was built upon passing down liberty to Posterity, their descendants so to speak. Americans inherited a power, they didn't earn it. Their blood does not carry the virtues of the founders. So the only way to become worthy of it, was to continue passing down liberty to future generations. America did that in WWII and was rewarded for it with superpower status and more human responsibilities. America failed to do that in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, paving the way for divinity or your ancestors, to remove the gift of that inheritance. Americans have become unworthy of it, even though some are still patriots. Being a patriot was not that the requirement to sustain America. Passing down liberty untarnished to future generations is what made America America.

Failing to do so, by tolerating Carthaginian esque atrocities like PP for profit abortions and pro Hollywood rapist agreements, is not enough to sustain the country that was founded on very different precepts. There is a significant amount of power passed through the inheritance, wasting it by supporting the Chinese in Vietnam, anti American dictators, and Islamic jihad allies of the Left, is not going to empower America, whether this generation or the next.

A culture that sacrifices the future for the pleasures of the present, deserves to be destroyed. Whether that is man made law, natural law, or divine law matters not. If it exists, and I think it does in a format, it will be Enforced.
