9 Sean Combs was arrested Monday after getting into a fight with a football coach at UCLA, where his son, Justin Combs, plays as a defensive back on the team, a rep from UCLA confirmed to Fox News.

The UCLA Media Relations Office later said Combs, also known as P. Diddy, was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell. No one was seriously injured and campus police were investigating.

What the Hell is a kettlebell?

OK, it is an exercise weight.

.Sorry, but a Flat Tax or Fair Tax will never happen in the US. There is simply no way for Congress to reward winners or punish losers with tax breaks under those systems.

It's for the children remember? And it is BS for Liberals to say that a Flat Tax hurts poor people the most. It wouldn't if you simply didn't tax food, prescription drugs and the like.

60 Morning, 'rons and 'ronettes.

Firstly, apologies to everyone at the NoVaMoMe. I'm afraid I'm not a very "public" person, so I'm sorry if the real self was a disappointment to those who know me only through my posts.

Hrothgar asked me for a W.C. Fields story, so here's one:

In his early vaudeville days, Fields was more of a physical than spoken-word comic, being an accomplished juggler and a trick-shot artist on the pool table. During one show, when he was demonstrating shots using a crooked cue, Fields was nonplussed to hear giggling and laughter from the audience. Looking around, he found fellow comic Ed Wynn ("The Perfect Fool") hiding under the pool table, making funny faces.

Fields waited calmly until Wynn poked his head out from underneath the table, then cracked the cue down on his skull with all the strength he could muster. As Wynn rolled around the stage clutching his head in agony, the audience screamed with laughter.

After the curtain came down, Fields approached Wynn. The audience liked their little routine, he observed; they should do it every night.

Wynn never broke in on one of Fields' acts again.

Here's Fields in a publicity shot for The Big Broadcast of 1938, surrounded by Dorothy Lamour, Martha Raye and Shirley Ross:

110 Removal of a flag won't change anything. I understand the strong feelings on each side,, but the onlyly long-term answer to this kind of senselessness is inner transformation - the heart of each individual being transformed by the love of Jesus Christ. Whether they invoke His Holy Name or not, everyone who does deeds of love and kindness - walks in the footsteps of our Lord. The Lord we honor; the Lord we love. Let us pray for the Love of Christ to touch every heart of every person, so that senselessness may end, and that the will of God - which is always directed toward His children's good -may cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.

Or how about "Hey you know what Obama? You've done less than nothing to facilitate racial discord and in fact, you've promulgated that discord for almost your entire life; well, that life in the US. So why don't you sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up?"

That's interesting, since arkansas likes being the south but doesn't seem all that hung up on the old confederacy thing. We have a few battlefields but that's about it. I had no idea we even had a flag day but they seem to have stuck right before Easter when nobody is paying attention.

I was interested to see that almost all the southen states had a soms of the confederacy license plate - we don't.

That girl Little League pitcher is great - but things will be different in a few years after both she and the boys have been though puberty. Most men can't throw 95 mph fastballs on a routine basis and we are supposed to believe women can do it?

One of the victims from the home invasion last week was forced to take one of the assholes to an ATM while his partner held her husband at gunpoint. The guy who took her to the ATM said they were doing it for revenge against white people.

Thankfully they haven't killed anyone yet. Maybe they'll stop now that they're talking about taking that flag down.

http://is.gd/AfIkRc

I must've been there shortly after it occured, since fire engines were still headed that way. The driver's side was not nearly as crushed as the passenger side, and the car must have been pushed well under the overpass by the semi.

I get the impression the driver died when they brought the jaws of life to bear, likely bled out.

He was 70 and made a fatal decision to outrun a semi. You know, we all talk about texting kids but an ageing population will, I think, lead to more accidents as well. Throw in hestitating engines due to ethanol impurities and its a bad mix.

Some of these men are flawed, but most of them are leaders (Hood is an amazingly charismatic and tactically proficient leader, though many would argue a strategic fool).

288 Republicans will keep being blamed for everything that ever happened unless we change things.

The GOP and wealthy donors should fund a degree program at Hillsdale College where anyone who wants to run for office as a republican needs to attend.

In that course, all candidates will be taught to handle the press, actual history, how to do interviews, how not to apologize for shit the republicans never did, etc. Along with the candidates, there can be training for staff.

A fraction of the investment usually wasted in elections would fund this and have positive effects for decades.

That said, it is a huge mistake to EVER give the leftist totalitarians any victory whatsoever. If you embolden them, they will feel like they have carte blanche to come for the next thing. Let them win on the Confederate battle flag? Well, don't be shocked when they come back for Old Glory or some other thing normal people could never imagine being offensive.

THIS^^^^ pretty much.

The Left always always, always, always manages to take a scalp.

Does taking down the Stars and Bars accomplish anything at all wrt dipshit's racist massacre?

Nope.

Did it have anything at all to do wrt dipshit's racist massacre?

Nope.

Will it prevent future mentally ill, drugheads from future dipshit racist massacres?

Nooop.

However-

The Left's semi-retarded LIV supporters now have a victory. As in-

They want repeal of the 2nd Amendment.
They'll take banning of "scary"-looking guns.
They'll get removal of the Stars and Bars.

And they're happy with that cuz-

"We're fighting racism, you guys!!111!!!!!"

Please compare and contrast-

how the GOP, especially Boneless and the Turdle, constantly refuse to give any sort of victory at all to their voters, even a stupid cookie crumb like removal of the Confederate flag.

So...wrt Haley...

while it would'v been awesome for her to have told the Left to fuck off and say the people of SC will decide this matter themselves-

and place the repeal as an item in the next election or hold a special election to decide.

Eh, like most rational people, she doesn't give a flying ckuf about the Stars and Bars one way or the other-

it's strictly a high cost/low impact political item these days.

She gave it a pass.

That's probably the smart decision.

Keep in mind that these are the same asshats who seriously proposed banning large chef's knives. Even in restaurant kitchens. After all, say the people who've probably never even cooked toast, there's nothing you can do with a big scary chef's knife that you can't do with a short-bladed paring knife. Fortunately, they were laughed off the public stage. Just not quickly enough, imho.

One of the treaties being negotiated by President Obama's team is known as the Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA). The contents were secret until it was obtained by Wikileaks. The documents reveal that the administration hopes to greatly expand access for foreign workers in dozens of occupations including engineering, veterinary medicine, management consulting, construction, waste disposal, hotel and restaurant work, transportation, and recreation. This is not just about computer programmers and nurses; TiSA would facilitate the movement of unlimited numbers of skilled and unskilled workers from participating countries.

So when I was in undergrad, our institution may have not upgraded past SSN identifiers yet. They were mostly masked except in 2 places:
Dorms (where the first 5 was your "I forgot my key" verification)
And the mail room (where the last 4 was your "I forgot my key" designation.)

A couple of people put this together and BAMMO! Had a SSN *and* a mailbox address for someone. (I don't think they got past 1 person before they got caught.)

They signed up for a credit card and (since one of them worked in the mail room) intercepted all the mailings about it. (It probably didn't help that the school sold student addresses to marketing companies so credit card applications were ripe for the picking)

It went well until they were sick one day and didn't intercept the bill in time and the student found out.

379 My thoughts about Haley: she thought about how a large portion of Americans, many her own constituents, feel about the Confederate flag and independently came to the decision that maybe it would be appropriate to fly it elsewhere. Or the Chamber of Commerce threatened to kill her pet alpaca if she didn't "cave".

________

Yup. With emphasis on the "protected classes" that Jaws mentioned @ 243.

IIRC, the outrage about the kid wearing an American flag to school was that he did it on Cinco de Mayo and he made a point of letting people know that he was doing it to rile up his Mexican schoolmates. If adults want to do this and accept the consequences, that's their business. But I can totally understand keeping that sort of thing out of a high school.

(And while we're at it, tell the kid with the Mexican flag over his shoulders that Commencement is an event for decorum, that there are tasteful ways to display one's pride in one's heritage at this event, and that this isn't one of them.)
