It seems like it's not just the GOP that shits on its base.

Since the pope has now said gun manufacturers can't call themselves Christian, I guess the Vatican security forces will now be disarming and the popes security detail will likewise be unarmed when he travels abroad.

I've always regarded the SCOAMF as the anti-Reagan, what better synchronicity than to have the anti-John Paul II as well.

Said another way, this is what you get when you install an Argentinian Marxist Jesuit as Pope.

Nobody has mentioned Roof's manifesto saying that he looked for others in his state that felt the same way he did, but there were no Skinheads (neo-nazis) or KKK to speak of in SC.

That doesn't fit the media's image of the south.

Conrad and Detective Christopher Boyd approached Clarke when he was waiting at the gate and asked if had drugs or money on him. According to Conrad's affidavit, Clarke was "free to walk away at any time."

Clarke told the agents he had $11,000 in his pocket and agreed to let the officers search both him and his carry-on bag. The officers didn't find any drugs. However, Clarke admitted that he had smoked marijuana on his way to the airport.

Then, the officers seized his $11,000, cellphone and iPad.

Clarke received his phone and tablet two months later. But, more than a year later, he's fighting to have his cash returned.

Dear Kevin simply fears that teh Trumpmeister is Not One of Us, don't you know.

Still, I'd vote for Trump if he was running against Shrillery Klintoon, Lieawatha Warren or Bernie the Commie. Shit, I'd vote for him if the choice was between him and the Roob or Krispy Kreme.

The worst thing about any ideology is the Commentariat. Listening to the pundits expounding from the vast store of knowledge they're accumulated via linking to each other is painful.

DON'T BE . . . OH, HELL, NEVER MIND: Google Chrome Listening In To Your Room Shows The Importance Of Privacy Defense In Depth.

"Yesterday, news broke that Google has been stealth downloading audio listeners onto every computer that runs Chrome, and transmits audio data back to Google. Effectively, this means that Google had taken itself the right to listen to every conversation in every room that runs Chrome somewhere, without any kind of consent from the people eavesdropped on. In official statements, Google shrugged off the practice with what amounts to 'we can do that.'"

An Ohio police officer who missed when he shot at a charging dog and accidentally hit a four-year-old girl in the right leg has been identified as a five-year veteran of the force.

When the officer tried to enter the home to provide help, the family's mixed-breed dog charged at him in the doorway, said Columbus Police Department spokeswoman Denise Alex-Bouzounis. 'The officer fires one shot at the dog, misses the dog and accidentally shoots a four-year-old in the leg,' she stated.

'ZERO RESPECT FOR WHAT YOU DID' -- JAKE TAPPER RESPONDS TO RIGHT SCOOP STORY ON CHRISTIANITY

Soooo we got Jake Tapper upset. And he came after me on the Twitters. Here's how it started.

This morning CNN broadcasted the entire church service from the Charleston AME church after the horribly evil murders. It really was a beautiful service, and CNN should be commended for having all three hours on it.

Jake Tapper is the new anchor for CNN's Sunday news and I'm glad he is. He's very fair, and a good reporter. But that doesn't mean he gets everything right.

In this case, we posted his comments in a video under the headline, "Jake Tapper asks if forgiveness of those who wrong you is particular to the black church."

55 Hundreds of thousands of public workers began paying more for their health care benefits after Governor Christie overhauled the system in 2011 a massive shift that would save New Jersey taxpayers $3 billion over 10 years, administration officials said at the time.

But just four years in, instead of the expected savings, state and local taxpayers are staring at the prospect of footing more of the bill for those medical coverage plans.

The reason: Tucked inside the sprawling 2011 reform law is a sunset provision that says the higher payments required of public workers will expire in four years. After that, the provision says, all health care costs must again be negotiated at the bargaining table as union contracts come up for renewal.

For much of the workforce, that change kicks in at the end of this month.

So New Jerseys powerful labor unions are gearing up for contract negotiations at all levels of government from the state to counties, municipalities and school boards with one unifying goal: to reduce health insurance costs as much as possible for their members.

And those of us in NJ like me and CBD are about to get fucked again!

"Cream puff"? He's equally vicious to Hillary. Repeatedly so. He may not use playground level language going after her, the way he does Trump, but that's because she is a lot more serious a threat over the long-haul. Trump is a sideshow clown and he's obviously hoping for more from the GOP.

Personally, I don't think he will get much more from the GOP, or if he does, it'll turn out to be lies as well, but who knows....

COURAGEOUS CONSERVATIVE AXED BY GOP LEADERSHIP FOR 'VOTING HIS CONSCIENCE'

The congressman added, "They came after me. So I called up and said that I would no longer be giving money to the NRCC as long as my party is going to attack me."

Voting against the rule and not donating to the NRCC "compelled leadership to put real pressure on Chairman Chaffetz to remove me from my subcommittee chairmanship," Meadows explained.

Meadows told Breitbart News Sunday listeners that, "no one should be punished for voting their conscience. Whether they are right or wrong on the vote, they shouldn't be punished."

98 Once a profitable business for cities and private employers alike, recycling in recent years has become a money-sucking enterprise. The District, Baltimore and many counties in between are contributing millions annually to prop up one of the nation's busiest facilities here in Elkridge, Md. -- but it is still losing money. In fact, almost every facility like it in the country is running in the red. And Waste Management and other recyclers say that more than 2,000 municipalities are paying to dispose of their recyclables instead of the other way around.

In short, the business of American recycling has stalled. And industry leaders warn that the situation is worse than it appears.

I doubt we can, NGU.

The best response to a candidate like Trump is to put up a contender who embodies those traits some of us like in teh Donald -- mainly his willingness to say things that are at the same time true and abhorrent to the lefties -- and also brings honesty, competence, a decent history and some measure of trustworthiness to the campaign.

In other words, not a Republican whom the Boners, McConnells, Roves and other prominent GOPes would support.

Until such a person comes along, loudmouths and Jeb!s will prevail. A Trump/Winfrey vs. Klintoon/Transgender TBA election strikes me as the ultimate moment in current American politics.

And Jesus told his disciples to arm themselves with swords when they went abroad.

No, the really indefensible part is that it is done without there being any need for charges to be brought at all.

Seriously, the cops get to take and keep the money (or cell phone or car or whatever) without bringing charges and then the person has to file a suit and prove that hey it's mine and I did nothing wrong and then maybe they'll get the money (or cell phone or car or whatever) back without any interest and many months later.

They say ol' Pete lopped off a soldier's ear when they came to arrest Jesus. Would have been a perfect time for the Lord and Savior to make a statement about the sale and manufacture of weapons, if such a thing was a thing.

The fact that he did not tells us more about who the Pope worships than the Pope might like. Marx kinda sorta had a thing about manufacturing. Hitler was big on not letting anyone not connected to his government getting in on the manufacturing game.

I suspect it had to do with money.
John Paul 2 was conservative but very popular, a good politician, in fact. It was on the basis of his popularity and legacy that Benedict, who was never popular but his number 2 guy, was elected.
Vatican politics, like all politics, runs on money. My guess is that Benedict did not have the deep pocket patrons that JP 2 had.

Posted by: Bigby's Roping Gloves at June 22, 2015 09:55 AM (3ZtZW)

Both; the GA State flag had the battle flag incorporated in it until 2001. The NAACP had previously said they would get rid of all vestiges of the confederacy. The GA legislature finally folded. That was probably the last act the NAACP accomplished before they became just another Democrat support group. SC removed the battle flag from the State House dome and placed it on the State House grounds in response to complaints from the NAACP. More recently they have called for Nikki Haley to remove it all together. It is at its current location by law and she refuses to to do anything with it.

Good for her.

yes but the F-22 was not designed to be Carrier Capable
-------------
The F-22 was designed to do 1 job well. It was designed to sneak up on enemy aircraft, pants them with a surprise missile salvo, and then mop up the rest a la Iron Eagle before cruising back to base secure in the knowledge that enemy fighter pilots would be pissing themselves in fear looking for Raptors hiding behind every seagull. Meanwhile the Warthogs, Falcons, and Apache Longbows could do bomb taxi runs without fear of enemy sorties.

The F-35 OTOH is supposed to do air superiority and interception and ground support and be STOL and be stealthy and supersonic AND do it all on 1 engine AND land on an aircraft carrier AND use all the nifty electronic gadgets made in the PRC. Instead of making a good STOL 1-engine fighter-bomber and making Warthog Mark II to handle the day-to-day stuff while the Raptor plays King of the Air, the Air Force has to share toys with the Navy Marines, who have different operational requirements.
