I am surprised there have not been more of this type of shooting. All you hear out of Barry's, Eric's and Rachel's mouth is race, race, race and it's got to be all about race. If there is any blame for all of this race hate, it is squarely on President Sotero's plate. America has become in 2015 what South Africa was in 1966.

Why Marco Rubio Scares All The Other Presidential Candidates
Before reading this, I'd just like to point out that Scott Walker had a totalitarian legal vendetta launched against him and his supporters for years, and was effectively elected 3 times for two terms due to the recall. I don't think Scott Walker is the least bit scared of Marco Rubio, and these half-hearted "scandals" just seem like a bad-publicity-is-good-publicity way of giving Rubio press over the other GOP candidates. So, my Liberalest brother posted a stupid thing about how Mohammedans in America face more persecution than Christians- because some idiots protested outside a mosque with guns.
No shots were fired. No violence occurred. The police were already there protecting the Mohammedans. The Mohammedans in question invited the idiots inside- the invitations were largely accepted, and everyone came away with more respect for each other than when the day started. This is "persecution" of Mohammedans. Yet being forced to choose to deny one's faith or lose one's business is not "persecution." And I'm absolutely sure this won't be "persecution" of Christians "because it was just one guy" or "Well it's not persecution by the State" or any of an hundred other excuses. My prayers go out to the survivors, for their comfort, and to those wounded, for healing, and to God on behalf of the dead, for his Mercy and Grace. And, yes, it is sick that the murder of Christians in one state will be used to attack Christians in other states. Posted by: AllenG (DedicatedTenther) - TrueCon at June 18, 2015 09:20 AM (kff5f) 94

I think it's important for us to observe and responsibly deal with violence. For example, white males do more mass shootings, blacks speed more often, and illegal immigrants like to drive drunk and rape. We shouldn't use these trends to break our society apart, but accept them and address them proactively. So we should fix our mental institutions to put crazies in the wacko basket, not get mad at cops for pulling over blacks more often, and kick the darn illegals out after putting them in jail for a miserable spell. This is one of those marginal commerce clause cases.
I'm going to let you ruminate on that statement for a little bit. 1) There is no such thing as a "marginal commerce clause case." Just because SCOTUS says there is doesn't make it true. 2) Note that the ban is on selling of ingredients with trans-fats across state lines. It is a blanket ban on selling food with trans-fats. Even if you accepted "marginal commerce clause" then the authority granted to the US government would only go so far as to banning interstate trade of trans-fats foods. So then every state in the union would have a factory making those foods pop up overnight. The Posted by: AllenG (DedicatedTenther) - TrueCon at June 18, 2015 09:33 AM (kff5f) 139

McD's used to allow their franchisees a fair amount of latitude and since they were basically a money mint when I worked there (mid-2000s) franchises just sat back and let the dough rolled in. I worked a corporate store and we did not like the double standard we were held to. Corporate sent down it's agents to ensure everything was up to snuff, while franchise stores pretty much let everything go to shit and never got punished. Back in 2009, during the height of the Tea Party, there were crotchety old Americans who warned in dark tones about the dangers of this president. He was a socialist, they said, and feckless to boot. He hated the American Founding and the men who built the foundations of this country. He would lead us into war and ruin and despair, and he would tear down the monuments to our heroes along the way. He was anti-American through and through, in ways that us youngsters did not understand. When they said this, I would disagree as politely as possible. By "marginal" I meant "really close to the line." Again though it's only close because of the level of interstate trade we have these days. I think you're right that they can only ban sales across state lines. Practically though (given modern supply chains) that *is* a de facto ban. I highly doubt Pillsbury is going to upend it's supply chain to keep transfats. Now the process of course does matter, so they've harmed us by carrying out actions beyond their power. But the end result would have been the same regardless. I'd remind you that the fall of transfats started when New York City banned them. Which, although you may disagree with the legitimacy of it is not an unconstitutional action that I can see. Posted by: tsrblke, PhD(c) rogue bioethicst at June 18, 2015 09:38 AM (s92xH) 166

McDonalds finally came out with a decent premium burger in their Bacon Clubhouse Burger. It's something that can actually compete with the Hardee's Thickburger. Here's my list of major chains
Hardee's - best hamburger, good chili dogs and biscuits; generally mediocre facilities; service spotty McDonald's - doesn't win in any category but generally decent food; facilities from very good to dismal; service spotty Wendy's - hamburgers generally good; facilities spotty; service generally good Burger King - yak, they microwave assembled burgers to heat them up after sitting for who knows how long. facilities poor; service poor Posted by: Ken at June 18, 2015 10:06 AM (LXJ1e) 280
