2 Good Morning Morons. Today is Tuesday, June 16, 2015. On this day in 1933 the National Industrial Recovery Act was passed. It was the first of FDR's BS depression recovery programs. It was a dismal failure as was all his "recovery" programs. It was subsequently declared unconstitutional by SCOTUS but that did not deter FDR. He was in office long enough to pack the courts, it just took longer than he wanted.

Climate experts who don't work for the government say we have been cooling since 1998 which is born out by my data that I have been keeping since 1998. Three Toyota Prius owners parked downtown had the large battery packs stolen from their vehicles in the last 10 days, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

The batteries, which power the hybrid cars, can fetch about $1,000 via websites like Craigslist. The 100-pound batteries can take 20 minutes to an hour to dismantle, police said. Authorities say, thefts are increasing and a black market is emerging for the batteries.

Recently, KGO television in San Francisco reported that thefts of hybrid car batteries are booming in the Bay Area, particularly targeting owners of Priuses.

In other words, Ohio would have an Internet sales tax that could not exceed its maximum sales tax. Then instead of paying every locality, you only have at maximum 50 (or 57) rates. It's up to the state to figure out how to distribute it.

Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) researchers succeeded in reassembling 3,000-year-old clay jar shards with an ancient inscription from the time of King David. Decoding the inscription posed a new challenge to researchers -- discovering who the mysterious Eshba'al ben Beda' was.

In excavations in 2012 at Khirbet Qeiyafa, in the Valley of Elah, shards dating from the 10th century BC, King David's time, were discovered. Professor Yosef Garfinkel of the Institute of Archeology of the Hebrew University and Saar Ganor of the IAA spent three years gluing the shards together.

"This is the first time that the name Eshba'al has appeared on an ancient inscription in the country. Eshba'al Ben Shaul, who ruled over Israel at the same time as David, is known from the Bible.

"Eshba'al was murdered by assassins and decapitated and his head was brought to David in Hebron. It is interesting to note that the name Eshba'al appears in the Bible, and now also in the archaeological record," added Garfinkel.

From the writeup I saw I would not have considered it a "credible threat". It was pure lawfare from an out of control judge. And it just proves you truly can indict a ham sandwich with today's grand juries. If I had been on that GJ I would have indicted the DA and the judge.

I don't go there anymore since they got rid of Kaus. But the problem is all of the external sites they load when you go to their site. It is in the double digits how many different sites the DC has links to on their main page. It's all advertising and site metrics. The only way to fix it is to get rid of them which probably means lost revenue.

Plus I generally boycott anything from the commie states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York or New Jersey.
