Re: John Effin' Kerry's broken leg, I learned in A wilderness first aid course that a broken femur is about as serious a break as you can get. On the spot treatment was to isolate the victim from cold as best you could and then put and keep the broken leg under traction. The prognosis for someone suffering such a break while in the wild was not good unless help arrived PDQ. Good Morning Morons. Today is Tuesday, June 09, 2015. On this day in 1954 Joseph Welch, special counsel for the United States Army, lashed out at Senator Joseph McCarthy during hearings on whether Communism has infiltrated the Army giving McCarthy the famous rebuke, "You've done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?". We now know that McCarthy was wrong. There were actually more commies in the DOS than he said.

More of Obama's back door gun control with an illegal order to halt discussion of guns on the internet. I guess someone will have to sue.
Commonly used and unregulated internet discussions and videos about guns and ammo could be closed down under rules proposed by the State Department, amounting to a gag order on firearm-related speech, the National Rifle Association is warning. http://fxn.ws/1dXHmnW Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at June 09, 2015 06:16 AM (GpgJl) Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at June 09, 2015 06:17 AM (GpgJl) 20

I say fuck 'em.. let 'em stuff the ballot boxes all they want, cuz their urban areas are in blue states anyway. You can't get more electoral votes than a state has, no matter how many Obama phone grabbers you bribe to come out. All we gotta do is concentrate on getting out the vote in a few key states. And.. even more fun.. if they get more popular vote than the GOP nominee and still lose, it will that much more fun to listen to them wail! Morning, 'rons and 'ronettes. Thanks for the news, Vic.
In the old days, when giants like Louis B. Mayer, Adolph Zukor, David Selznick and Darryl Zanuck ran major movie studios, it was understood that each man had a droit du seigneur with respect to aspirant starlets. Some were blatant and direct - the first words Harry Cohn of Columbia spoke to Lucille Ball when she entered his office were "suck it, bitch!" - others, like producer Irving Thalberg of MGM were more discreet, and some were unable to allow themselves to enjoy the perks of office; it was famously said of Mayer that he couldn't get laid in a whorehouse. Darryl Zanuck, of Twentieth Century-Fox, was known throughout Hollywood for his 4.00pm afternoon sex breaks, when a hopeful starlet would trot over to his office, relieve the great man's pressure, and be on her way. But Zanuck wasn't content with just anonymous bit players; he tried to seduce bigger names as well. At one point, he was chasing newly-signed Broadway star Judy Holliday around his office when he finally caught her and pushed her down on to a couch. Trying to fend off the studio chief's advances, Holliday pointed to a framed photo of Zanuck's wife and children. "How could you?" she cried. "There's your family!" A deeply offended Zanuck stood up, walked away and snarled, "Keep my family out of this." Here's Holliday in 1951s Born Yesterday, also starring Broderick Crawford and William Holden. BTW, Holliday would win an Oscar for this movie, beating out Gloria Swanson's Sunset Boulevard - which also starred Holden. http://goo.gl/Fs9lxQ Hope you all have a wonderful day. A left-wing d-bag has written an alleged "memoir" of his year of teaching in an "ultra-conservative" California school district while addicted to drugs.
Not only is he (of course) the best teacher evah because of his 'House'-like iconoclasm, but he becomes a hero to the gay kids, the drug-using kids, the girl who got raped... one 'Glee' subplot after another. And the prose is Brian-Griffin-from-Family-Guy quality. According to society, I was the crazy one for wanting to numb this feeling out. I was the one with the problem. I was the one who needed help. It was I who needed professional care, I who acted in direct opposition to socially accepted morality and ethics. I who was fucked up. Truth is, I put a lot of drugs into my body because I didn't want to be sick and I didn't know how to deal with a society whose secrets were somehow more acceptable than my own." http://tinyurl.com/nvo8rjq Posted by: Gregory of Yardale at June 09, 2015 07:23 AM (O7MnT) 104

All we gotta do is concentrate on getting out the vote in a few key states. And.. even more fun.. if they get more popular vote than the GOP nominee and still lose, it will that much more fun to listen to them wail! . . . .Trust me Illegals that want to vote are already voting in most Blue States. And even some who don't want to vote are being paid and bussed to the polling places. The myth that Democrats want illegals to have a path to citizenship just to get their vote is wrong. They are already voting in huge numbers in all Blue States. I had someone vote in my place when we lived in CT some time ago. But you're missing out on gems like this: (mentally, read it in Brian Griffin's voice for maximum effect.) He tried to spit his words out but his lips seemed unwilling to play their part. He choked on syllables while he leaned forward. Finally, he managed to blurt out, "I'm gay." "I'm gay," he repeated, as if I could have not heard him the first time. My immediate response was to worry for Michael. I taught in a school that sat squarely in the middle of a conservative pocket of northern Californian known as Placer County, where they hold rodeos and where high school football is a much bigger deal to grown ups than it should be. "Alright," I mustered, absorbing the situation with a nod. "OK, we can do this." While we both looked on in anticipation of a plan that had yet to form, I looked him in the eyes to reassure him. "Hey - Look at me," I said. "You're not alone. I'm here with you. We got this," I said, hoping my faux-confidence wasn't as transparent as it felt. "You're not alone. We can do this." I hope they can get Tommy Wiseau to direct the movie version. Posted by: Gregory of Yardale at June 09, 2015 07:38 AM (O7MnT) 138

All of the sanctimonious types, from the lowest to the highest all see themselves as better than the hoi polloi, thus having the right and duty to rule over them. Leftism is all about reinforcing that particular vanity. Life in the great outdoors. Two tales.
We used to have a big swimming pool at this ranch when we were kids, and one thing I always hated there was horse flies. I still remember one horse fly buzzing me, and I swam the length of the pool underwater, came up, and wham! he bit me. I hate horse flies. I've noticed in recent years, we seem to not have some bugs I remember from my youth. Yellow jackets used to be plentiful, never see 'em, anymore. Horse flies are far fewer, and I don't miss 'em. Might be the years of drought. So this morning, I'm standing out front, petting the dog, enjoying the morning view, when a huge horse fly starts buzzing around my head. 'Round and 'round and 'round Zzzzz Zzzzz ZZZZZ. Unlike houseflies, horseflies will not be waved off. I duck down and head for the door, where I turn and see the horsefly following me toward the door, threatening to come inside. I grab a fly swatter. This is war. Swish, a miss. He's full grown, warmed up, and fast. Swish, another miss, and another, but then, thwack! Contact! A solid hit! Took me a while to find the body, but it was a killer hit. Victory! I take pride in modifying the local gene pool in this way. I'm selective about genetic control. Ladybug in the house? We scoop it up and carry it outside. Wasps in the house? They're usually just mud daubers and get mercy. A few days ago, I found a two-inch cockroach sitting i the cup we use to scoop out dog food. Now, I hate cockroaches, but this one was trapped and I decided to have mercy and throw him outside. I open the back door, shake him out of the cup, and I see him fly away, then he turns back, lands in the dirt, and crawls swiftly to the back door, where he crawls under a crack in the door frame. Wow. Smart bug. Fortunately, right by the back door is the shelf where we store the chemical warfare weaponry. The bottom of the door frame got a swift, saturating dose of Raid. Take that, you miserable insect, and I'll never show mercy on one of your kind again! Posted by: mindful webworker - swat team at June 09, 2015 07:47 AM (MDTpF) 147

"Way Down South" is the story of the untimely death of a beloved plantation owner, where the slaves spent the majority of their time singing and dancing. His orphaned teenage son would have carried on the tradition, but being underage, the management of the plantation fell to a lawyer. That's when the beatings started. So looking back, it's totally apparent that blacks and whites lived in perfect harmony until the lawyers became involved. Typical. Posted by: jwest at June 09, 2015 08:36 AM (9ZZd+) 277

I got a visit yesterday from a volunteer for a Virginia GOPe candidate who is running to replace a retiring RINO. This despite the "no soliciting" sign on my door.
The kid (he was a millennial) told me about the primary and asked if I had any questions about this candidate. I said I just had one question - gun rights. I told him I stopped voting for his predecessor since he opposed a bill (that passed handily) that would let permit holders carry into restaurants that served alcohol. This same delegate voted to allow State's Attorneys and their assistants to be able to carry concealed in those establishments without a permit. The kid gave me the deer-in-headlights look and said he didn't know (then why are you knocking on my door asking if need to know anything...?). Handed me a little door hanger courtesy of the VA GOP and said I should check out this candidate's website where I can submit a question. Yeah, right. I told the kid I was done with the VA GOP and don't trust them at all. Thanked him for his time and went back to playing Arkham. Fuck the GOP. With age discrimination they usually don't say that the reason. They say things like, "You were standing around with your hands in your pocket" (FS is a hard worker; They don't do that) and you came in late. Well, maybe if you had told them that you changed the schedule they've had for the past three years and not change it at the last minute, they wouldn't have been late.
