It is the LGBT community times 100.

An early scene, two women (although I think one is a tranny) having full on naked sex, then drops a dripping wet rainbow colored stap-on dildo on the floor, dripping on the wooden floor, up close in front of camera lens.

Let me be clear, I don't really care all that much about gay couples, but I don't need it pushed in my face. This show, is all gay all the time, set inside what was supposed to be a new and cool sci-fi series. It's so over the top it takes away from any storyline. It's hard to explain.

This was supposedly made by the same who made Matrix and Babylon 5. I don't see it.

106 More from the 'I defaulted' asshole:

The millions of young people today, who collectively owe over $1 trillion in loans, may want to consider my example.

This guy clearly didn't spend any of his money on economics because

1. the reason we have the rule that you can't default on student loans is because it's super easy to run up 100k and then immediately declare bankruptcy and too many people did it and

2. If everybody did that, loans would have to go away as an option. Which might not be a bad thing.

I got some of my loans written off because I worked in a hospital serving the very poor.

My neighbor had all her medical school loans written off b/c she took a job for 4 years in an economically depressed area, i.e, acute shortage of doctors. To do that she had to leave her teenage daughters with their father and see them only on weekends. It was a hardship but it seems it was worth it. She wanted the kids to live in an area that had great schools. She is now debt free.

So I'm thinking that the Clinton Foundation has its tentacles in everything, throughout the progressive/media machine, not only accepting bribes but then "investing" in reporters and various organizations in order to ensure they side w/Hillary - maybe to keep that sweet Clinton cash coming in, because they don't want the connection exposed.

Reminds me of how Hillary as Senator was very studious in using her campaign cash to fund the campaigns/PACs of her fellow Senators (Wash Post did an article on this) - she was by far the most giving Senator to her colleagues.

124 Republicans, as they have most recently done on TPA and Obamacare, are going to continue to show their contempt for conservatives and take for granted their votes in the next election, especially now, that they believe things are so fucking bad that conservatives won't have any choice but to vote for them.

In my weak minded opinion, there has never been (except possibly the election of 1860) to send a message to not only the career Republican politicians, but to career politicians in general.

We know the system is rigged in favor of career politicians and I think we know that being a politician in the American system was not meant to be a career by the founders and that when American politics became a lucrative career, American politicians naturally became more interested in their self interest than in the interest of the country.

I think that this is the election. The one where, if we really believe the country can be won back, we can at least show politicians that we are committed to winning it back.

We need to get organized. Ace, and those on his team, have been really exercising their creative legs over the last couple of years and this website has got juice.

If that juice could be leveraged to at least try to get conservatives organized to begin a revolution at the ballot box in this next election, this country might possibly still have a chance.

Look, if Clinton wins, what difference would it make. She's so corrupt that she's likely to be impeached anyway and if she isn't, we're close to the bottom anyway. She'd just get us there faster.

135 As President Obama went into a summit of world leaders in the Alps on Sunday, he made a promise over beer and wurst with Bavarian villagers to take a tough stance against Russian intervention in neighboring territories.

One of his top priorities at the summit, he told hundreds of people in a town square in Kruen, is "standing up to Russian aggression in Ukraine."

But gathering as the Group of Seven for the second time since the Kremlin annexed Ukraine's Crimea region, the heads of government were focused more on holding their current line than in taking any new stands against Russian President Vladimir Putin, the disinvited guest of their annual summit.

British Prime Minister David Cameron called for sanctions against Russia to be renewed. European Council President Donald Tusk urged leaders to "re-confirm the G-7 unity" on sanctions.

And though Obama voiced his support for tougher sanctions, advisors to the president emphasized instead the importance of maintaining the status quo.

"Ultimately it will be up to the Europeans to make those decisions," White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said. "We're hopeful that they'll do so, keeping in mind our shared view that preserving this unity is really important."

The current strategy is a "steady as she goes" approach, as another senior advisor to the president phrased it.l

"I don't see any change in policy on Ukraine, nor do I see Ukraine fatigue," said Charles Kupchan, Obama's senior director for European affairs. "We've always said that we favor and are pushing toward a diplomatic settlement to the crisis."

138 So this "pool party" in McKinney, a northern suburb of Dallas

There is a female "DJ". She has been putting out flyers for rave type pool parties at HOA pools. These are not public pools. These are pools owned and managed by property developments and shared by the home owners.

What happens is that well over a hundred teens will descend on a housing development and take over the pool for a party. They do not live there. They do not have permission. They climb over fences to get in. They party and brawl. They prevent people who are there with their kids from using the pool. These are also, by the way, not "white" housing developments either. They are mixed.

Residents have been complaining to the police, who were vastly out numbered when they responded to the latest party. Now I will concede that the police seem unprepared and did not handle it well, but that is the context

I wonder if that isn't also part of the reason car prices have gotten so high, the difference being that you can't buy a car, drive it 4 years without paying for it, and then defer payments for 12.

Of course your cost will balloon out of control if you do that!

These Sloan folks seem to believe everything is free for the taking. I do wonder how some of my college friends who took out huge loans feel about them now.

BTW, read a pretty good article (albeit full of liberal apologies) about what makes a woman a woman. 145 From the sociopath's wiki page:

"In September 2006, Siegel was suspended from The New Republic,
after an internal investigation determined he was participating in
misleading comments in the magazine's "Talkback" section, in response to
criticisms of his blog postings at The New Republic's website and vicious attacks on his character. The comments were made through the device of a "sock puppet" dubbed "sprezzatura",
who, as one reader noted, was a consistently vigorous defender of
Siegel, and who specifically denied being Siegel when challenged by
another commenter in "Talkback". In response to readers who had
criticized Siegel's negative comments about TV talk show host Jon Stewart,
'sprezzatura' wrote, "Siegel is brave, brilliant, and wittier than
Stewart will ever be. Take that, you bunch of immature, abusive sheep".[7] The New Republic posted an apology and shut down Siegel's blog. In an interview with the New York Times Magazine, Siegel dismissed the incident as a "prank". He resumed writing for The New Republic in April 2007."

So I'd say 'sociopath' is apt.

What I got from the article was that he COULDNT be a successful writer without a degree. He dropped out and tried it and failed in unspecified ways. Then he went to college and grad school and I guess got a job, but not one that paid well enough to pay anything on his loans.

But he refused to get a job that actually paid something decent, because otherwise his precious snowflake life would have been ruined.

171 nood art.

172 Oh! Also, he thinks the government should just have an education tax so everybody can go to college. Because that wouldn't' turn it even more into 'high school part 2'.

175 How's this for news you can use:

If American Pharoah's time on Saturday was put in the 1973 Belmont, he would have finished 16th behind Secretariat.

176 This was supposedly made by the same who made Matrix and Babylon 5. I don't see it.

The Wachowski freaks don't surprise me. Straczynski being a part of something like that does. It's pretty sad. He's an atheist, but I always appreciated that he understood religion and religious people better than your typical village atheist.

177 Whoops - misspoke on the last comment at 175.

He would have finished 16 lengths behind Secretariat.

There. fixed.

178 Then he went to college and grad school and I guess got a job, but not one that paid well enough to pay anything on his loans.

Then the fact is clear: He wildly overpaid for the position he is able to achieve.

His poor choices. Overspending for college, or overestimating his value as a writer.

As entitled as he sounds, probably both.

179 >>> It takes a lot to disgust me, and anger me about silly entertainment. This show is so over the top.

Had it play about 3 minutes or so and it was just so dumbass it wasn't worth continuing. Of course, I hate Orphan Black too so YMMV

180 Siegel was born in 57 so he started college in 1975 when it wasn't that expensive and then falling interest rates would have shrunk it to a much more manageable size. Wikipedia says he started full time work in 98, at the relatively advanced age of 41.

Posted by: bjk at June 08, 2015 10:48 AM (x2rNW)

181 full time work as a writer. he worked as an editor before that.

Posted by: bjk at June 08, 2015 10:51 AM (x2rNW)

182 The article on Siegel missed something of a punch line. The title of his fourth book is ... wait for it ...

"Are You Serious? How to Be True and Get Real in the Age of Silly"

You just can't make this stuff up.

183 Bandersnatch:

I watched what was basically "a filmed play" yesterday. "Born Yesterday" with Judy Holiday and Broderick Crawford.

Genius!

The great thing about a play making it unscathed onto the screen is that it's all dialogue, dialogue, dialogue! (And no CGI of the Hulk!)

184 There's real potential in this Conservative Civil Disobedience idea. I mean like "win this sonofabitch once and for all" type of potential.

I'd love to see more popular support for secession, too.

185 If American Pharoah's time on Saturday was put in the 1973 Belmont, he would have finished 16th behind Secretariat.

But 2nd among triple crown winners. It's like comparing Bruce Jenner's mile time against dedicated milers.

186 On conservative civil disobiedience
If a Christian baker can be force to participate in a ghey wedding then a ghey wedding can be forced to pay the price od a Christian baker. 'Course the Christian baker needs to pay the church to re-sanctify all tools and facsilities of the trade. And the church could hire dozens of lay ministers from the poor to say lengthy prayers over each spoon and icing nozzle.
To be honest the baker needs to do the sanctification process up front or they are just practicing bakery while Christian rather than being a Christian bakery.
This would be good for the economy and provide jobs. It is also a social service as the gheys have too much money and this would help ease their burden.
