Cops don't advertise the ones who got away.

They aren't infallible or omnipotent. (although they'd like you to think they are which carries some baggage all on it's own).

No. Criminals run because running has worked for them before.

My point? Anyone running from the cops is most likely a career criminal or frequent flyer at least. And that's why when cops see them run, they know there's pretty good odds they've got a warrant out or they've done some crime lately.

Sure it's profiling. So's guessing that the dork in front of you in traffic who poking along isn't paying attention and will soon do something stupid and/or dangerous.

Saw that story yesterday and wondered why Jenner, who at the time was making millions of dollars in product endorsements and speaking fees, would have been arguing with his daughter over money? Just how cheap is this guy?

Also, his elder four children (from his first two marriages) say that he was essentially absent from their lives when they were kids, and that he didn't even send them birthday or Christmas gifts.

It appears Jenner's problems are much deeper than just his gender confusion.

33 Was about to drop this in the last thread, when I saw there was a new one, so, here y'go. No links. Sorry.

Here in Oklahoma, we had a state trooper shoot a guy to death. Dead guy was Nehemiah Blessed [SomethingLastName], an "associate pastor." He and his brother were trying to get their truck unstuck in the floods. Two troopers came along and told them to get the heck out of there.

The story we first got was from dead guy's brother. He said Nehemiah came out of the ditch first, and when brother got out, Nehemiah was already shot dead. Said, with all the rushing water and wind, they didn't even know they were cops.

The family all exclaimed how this associate pastor was a great guy, sided with cops, would never cause trouble. His mother actually called the 6'-something broad-shouldered Nehemiah "a gentle giant." (Clue!)

Nehemiah was (legally) open-carrying a sidearm he'd just received as a birthday present, never been fired. There was some speculation that might have played into the cops' shooting him.

Now we have the video. Both brothers walk out of the water together, marching up to the officers. The officers can clearly be seen, and heard identifying themselves. The officers are already telling the pair to settle down, when one of them (presumably the about-to-die guy) attacks a cop. Whoops!

43 Go to the Springmaid Pier. Use to be owned by Springs Mills, hence the Springmaid name. They, at one time, were the largest land owners in SC. The Pier was built for employees of Spring mills.

I think they will even rent you gear. They sell licenses and if I remember correctly, you can bring a cooler full of you favorite beverages.

All in all, a fun day. Bring a jacket, it can get cold on the pier, wind etc.

I knew a lab manager once who prepped his lab for a CA OSHA inspection.

He was docked for not putting the correct NFPA 704 fire diamond on the water cooler. "Water is an asphyxiant" It should have been labeled 0-0-0-1

OSHA is a money maker. There has been lots of allegations that inspectors have a quota of fines to assess. This is not unusual for agencies that enforce compliance.

Yep. Instapundit had some links posted yesterday to articles detailing the back story on that so-called "documentary" that set off all this government hysteria over the non-existent "campus rape" crisis. This is the movie that was played for congress, and got all the SJW's frantically making changes to Title IX, so that the government can address this terrible "epidemic of sexual assault" on college campuses.

Turns out the campus "rape" that is the central focus of the film was nothing more than another drunken hook-up, featuring an angry female trying to get back at a male who'd spurned her.

A black female Harvard Law student invited a black male Harvard Law student, who she'd been flirting with off and on for a while, to come to her apartment. He came, and the black female also invited another friend, a white female, to come also.

The black female and the black male did cocaine at the apartment, and then the three of them went out to a bar. They returned to the black female's apartment later, when all three were pretty wasted. The black male laid down on the bed with the white female, and the two of them made out a little, but did not have sex, and then the white female fell asleep. (The black female saw some of the make-out session).

Next day, the black female starts texting the black male, asking him why he sexually assaulted her and her white friend when they were impaired. He denies it, but the black female tells him that she found a bloody condom in her apartment's trash can, so she knows he had sex with the white female, because she'd been on her period, and that condom was definitely not used by the black female. (Later lab testing revealed that the blood on the condom WAS the black female's, and the male DNA on it was NOT the black male's. IOW, that condom was left over from some sex that the black female had had in her apartment earlier, with some other male).

The black male says that he did make out a little with the white female, and he shouldn't have done that because she was so drunk (as was he), but that's all that happened. The black female files a sexual assault complaint with Harvard, and also a criminal complaint with the police. The black male is suspended from school, and the police begin an investigation. Ultimately there is a trial, but the male is acquitted of all the felony sexual charges, and only convicted of one misdemeanor non-sexual charge (unauthorized touching), and that conviction was a compromise with the one juror, out of 12, who wanted to convict him of something.

So basically you have a black woman who was pissed that the black man she was interested in was making out in her apartment with her white friend. The black woman cooks up a verifiably phony rape story, and gets the man kicked out of school and criminally prosecuted, for nothing more than some drunken kisses. Then the black woman stars in a "documentary" about her phony rape, a documentary which is full of lies, and becomes a feminist heroine.

And this ridiculous story -- which is nothing remotely like rape, and is based on known lies -- has been used to justify sweeping changes to federal laws about how reports of sexual assaults must be handled by colleges and universities.

It's insane.

Breaking a femur falling off a bike is a difficult thing to do. For the most part it is arms that are broken in bike accidents. Of course this administration lies about everything so who knows what really happened. Is it possible that it was an assassination attempt? Yeah, I could see ISIS doing something like that, although I would expect them to try beheading him rather than shooting him.

However, you don't send a C-17 to pick up anybody who just has a broken leg and contusions; you send a C-17 to pick up somebody who needs a significant life support team. A C-17 allows a hospital bed to be loaded. His normal mode of air travel is sufficient for transporting him with just a broken leg along with his usual entourage.
