Good Morning Morons. Today is Wednesday, June 03, 2015. On this day in 2013 the trial of United States Army private Bradley Manning for leaking classified material to WikiLeaks began in Fort Meade, Maryland. He later changed his name to Chelsea and decided he was a woman as well as a traitor. He was sentenced to 35 years in prison and is currently still out on appeal. Why?

MA police shoot and kill 26-year-old Usaama Rahim, a black muzzie who had been radicalized by ISIS propaganda. He allegedly was attacking the police with a large military style knife, proving once again you do not bring a knife to a gun fight. He and his brother had been under observation by an anti-terrorism task force.

Shouldn't go unnoticed, but in the comments at NR's spring fundraiser, Kevin Williamson blasts conservatives who think "standing athwart" includes holding a non-negotiable position on marriage.
"I don't expect to address those comments because -- and I cannot emphasize this strongly enough -- I don't care. People who are going to have a pout every time NR publishes something with which they disagree are never going to be happy with NR, because NR is always going to publish things with which some people, including some conservatives, disagree. Bawl away, but don't expect me to go fetch your pacifier." So far as I know, he also has never addressed the understandable questions about his recent claim that there is -- quote -- "an excellent moral argument to be made for the inclusion of homosexual adults in leadership positions within scouting." I'd love to see these subjects come up in the AOS podcast, but either way, clearly National Review is in the very best of hands. Top. Men. Posted by: Bubba at June 03, 2015 06:44 AM (bpn7O) 37

Vera-Ellen was probably the finest of all the female hoofers in Hollywood's golden age. Ballet, tap, jazz, she could do it all. Sadly, she had many demons, including failed marriages as well as battling anorexia (her wardrobe almost always featured turtlenecks and long sleeves) and a career-ending bout of arthritis. Worst was losing her only child to SIDS. She died relatively young at age 60. But what an incredible dancer she was. Posted by: J.J. All of the things Obama said about the cops in Ferguson and Baltimore can be said about the FBI agent in Boston.
None of the things said would be true, but that is not the point. Alinsky Rule #4, Make the enemy live up to their own rules. Obama's FBI has been harassing the members of that mosque for years, oppressing them. That young man was justified in rebelling against Obama's White Privilege and his use of the FBI as tools of oppression. Those members of that mosque came to the US to find a better life, escape the misery in their home country, and they just want to practice their religion. That man died a martyr in holy war against oppression of Obama's America. Now everyone at that mosque will hate Obama, the FBI, and the US. Morning, 'rons and 'ronettes. Thanks for the news, Vic. Here's a story starring Walter Matthau:
It seems that Matthau was on the road, rehearsing in a touring company of The Odd Couple. It seems that he wasn't giving director Mike Nichols (The Graduate, Catch-22, Charlie Wilson's War) the interpretation he wanted, and the director was not at all happy with Matthau's performance. Finally, he was forced to chew Matthau out in front of the entire company. "And if you don't like it," Nichols wound up, "then you can leave." "All right," the humiliated actor responded, "but before I go, give me my balls back." Without hesitating, Nichols turned and shouted offstage, "PROPS!" And since we spent part of yesterday talking about feminine pulchritude, here's birthday girl (1906) Josephine Baker: http://goo.gl/UXNGwg Not my type, but chacun a son gout, as they say. Sefton at June 03, 2015 06:47 AM (St6BJ) That's sad. Astonishingly, Ed Morrissey of all people wrote a good counterpoint to the Munoz drivel.
"We're celebrating the end of natural and objective truth, and turning dysfunction into virtue on the basis of celebrity. ...This turns their challenges into sport or status symbols in a very odd manner, and mainstreaming it the way Baldwin suggests legitimizes thefetishization oftheir pains and struggles.... However, don't expect me to wave flags as the parade of self-mutilation keeps processing toward eventual oblivion, regardless of whether that makes me out of step and hopelessly old-fashioned. Western society has become unmoored from objective truth in favor of anything goes, and I don't think the end game looks terribly promising --- especially with the parallel tyranny of the Tolerance Police punishing any dissent along the way." http://tinyurl.com/o6taul6 He quibbles a bit at times, but its more than I'd expect from Poppinfresh. 264 I think once a culture defines "bravery" as a man who deliberately gets his dick turned into a vagina, it's officially FUBAR.
---------- And the Thing Formerly Known as Bruce Jenner is merely the tip of the iceberg. "Bravery" is now apparently every dipsh*t celebrity who grapples with substance abuse, relationship strife, mental problems, or sexual confusion/degeneracy -- as long as they are part of an approved victim group and/or have the correct leftist politics. And after all, wasn't Hillary praised for her "bravery" in standing by Bill during the Blue Dress affair. What difference, at this point, does it make? Our larger culture has been rotten and dumb for some time. Posted by: Stu-22 at June 03, 2015 08:33 AM (vd4oB) 271
Watching Kilmeade trying to process information is cringe-worthy. Hands on knees, eyes unfocused, brow furrowed, mouth slightly open, followed by some lame joke he came up with hours ago.
I don't even want to know how much he gets paid. Posted by: Just some guy at June 03, 2015 08:37 AM (yxw0r) 272
If a drug had the kind of failure rate that sex-change surgery does, the FDA would never approve it.

Re: Pluto's moons:
"Charon, weighs in at a hefty 11% of the mass of Pluto itself. It may have formed during a cosmic collision early in the Solar System's history, billions of years ago." So one of the components of the "Rare Earths" explanation of the Fermi Paradox is that Earth's moon may have formed in such a collision, which are assumed to be exceedingly rare, thus implying that the stabilizing effect of a large moon may also be rare, accounting for why we don't hear anybody out there, the terrible unstable weather having butt-hurt their widdle cells trying to get on land and build fucking radio telescopes. Finding another "knock-off" moon in the solar system makes that assumption less than compelling, don't it? I remember when I was in frickin High School, there was still debate about whether the frequency of stars having planets was one in a million or one in a bazillion! Now, not such a longshot.
