Charter just gobbled up a company 3-4 times it's size.

Charter is relatively small, with 5.7 million customers. I'm betting at least 20% of those are in the Greater St. Louis area.

Buyout has to be highly leveraged. Either that or they are acting as a front for someone else which is probably illegal.

Or, maybe Hillary. Hillary will pander to anyone. Maybe he's hoping for Hillary.

Either way, this scum-sucking totally useless POS wants some Prog Politico to pay his loans off for him. So he can join a club, buy better clothes, or go out to dinner more. Whatever, you whiny loser.

Almost certainly leveraged to the point where, without creative bookkeeping, making an actual profit in the next decade seems very unlikely.

Posted by: The Great White Snark at May 26, 2015 09:02 AM

The real question, IMO, is: why [should they fight? If the SRHTF, the U.S. will send more of our military back in to do the heavy lifting, fighting and sacrificing, while "training" the Iraqis.

Or ISIS and the Iranians will just take over the whole friggin' place.

Either way, it's a "win" for Choom Boy.

23 The Iraqi army has no will to fight? You are all just a bunch of nay sayers of the same ilk that were refusing to acknowledge just how close we were/are to total victory. The fight against ISIS will be a cakewalk
as for training the Iraqi Army we have 3000 men training what is probably close to 30000 in the Iraqi army I think we are almost at the tipping point, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter, we can't leave because it would dishonor the 5000 who died because of Iraq

31 To the Detroit Free Press guy, you can thank all the people trying to game the system (ie, go to law school, rack up 100k in debt and immediately file bankruptcy) for that 'cannot be discharged in bankruptcy' part of student loans. The only real solution is to make college less expensive, or don't go to expensive schools.

I still have a bit of Sloan debt btw. But I could pay it off with savings, I just have other things I want to use those savings for. I guess eventually I will pay it off in a chunk...

45 My best friend, his grandad fought from Normandy on, was wounded, returned to service and was there until wars end. His wife and he were married at 14, so the man she fell in love with was not the same man that returned from war and that caused her to hate everything about the war.
He died years ago and never discussed the war, she died just recently and my friends' family found the war trunk that grandma hid far back in the attic.
There was pin after pin that this man kept off of Germans he shot and other German paraphernalia. Of all the pictures my friend has sent me the ones that hit the most are the newspaper clippings of Jewish bodies piled in liberated camps, with his grandfather notes saying "this is true, I saw it."

85 OMFG.

Yes, Bob (Gates), allowing homosexual leadership is absolutely a great idea. All those chartered organizations the BSA *didn't* run off by starting to allow openly gay scouts will be successfully run off this time, and you can get that icky "Duty to God" out of the Scout Oath, and "A Scout is Reverent" out of the Scout Law.

What a fan-f*cking-tastic idea.

The best I can hope for, it seems, is 3 years. Give me 3 years, and my son will be old enough to understand when I yank him out of Scouts. It's a little hard to explain "because I don't want you molested" to an 8 yr old.

Good catch. I think the boy scouts should want to involve them as volunteers maybe. I'm trying to look at this from a church perspective. Yes, the church should allow gays to come to church, help out, and become better people, but not lead the church.

"Oh, I don't like the policy, but it's not because of those icky moralistic reasons. No, sir. Nope, I'm only against it because of practical ones."

F that. I stand against it for moral reasons. Homosexual behavior is wrong. And, while we all sin, I wouldn't allow a known (and unrepentant) drunkard, lecher, or thief be in Scout leadership either.

It is long past time for people of Socially Conservative bent to separate homosexual behavior from homosexual urges or "orientation." (Yes, I know many already do- the "movement" however, has been very bad about it).

Someone who is "openly homosexual" is past the urge/orientation part and is engaging in the behavior part.

Specifically, he thinks the anti-Semitism displayed by the Iranians is roughly the same as anti-Semitism in American life. That's like saying "blackballing people from country clubs is as bad as mass murder". He is that stupid.

Moreover, Meade points out that again and again, TFG displays the total arrogance to believe his views of the world are the on ly rational views, and that our enemies see the world as coldly pragmatically as TFG thinks he does.

He is delusional, stupid and impossibly narcissistic. Katie, bar the door.

Is Meerkat hector?
Posted by: Gustav

Maybe -- but doesn't quite sound like him.

It might be that guy who used to suck up hard to Charles Other Johnson over at LGF, until the day his Man God tossed him out of the Garden.

He stops by here sometimes trying to earn back his daddy's love.

CA's drought can be fixed in the same amount of time.....and it doesn't even require rain.

==================

There was a story last week that they had closed Lake Ft Worth because the water was too deep and the boat wakes would cause damage. So, the drought was long finished before this rain.

190 Alleged 50 year drought wiped out in 8 hours.

We'll see. The problem with large amounts of rain all at once is that most of it will simply run off into the ocean rather than being absorbed into the local aquifers.

Yes, but some of the other lakes were still practically empty before this flooding, and the creeks were barely flowing on my grandparents' ranch in Kendall County.

They are flowing now! Parts of Kendall county got 11" in one night.

197 I think the boy scouts should want to involve them as volunteers maybe.

They already do, and no scout Pack/Troop will ever ask if parents are homosexual. If you want to volunteer to coordinate the Blue and Gold Banquet, the Pinewood Derby, or other such special events, we'll gladly let you.

You don't get to be a Cub/Scout Master, a Den Leader, or Committee Member.

201 Meerkat, for making points using arguments I have to give you a D at best for your posts.

An argument should have a point, not just bile. The point is to convince someone of your opinion, or bring someone to a point where they can look at their own assumptions
For example, calling you a vile, semen soaked furry-troll doesn't do anything but make you unhappy, and it doesn't convince anyone of any point. The people who agree with me are nodding their heads right now, but they thought that before I posted that little nugget. No thoughts generated, but you have to reach for the Ranitidine, so it is a wash.

If I tell you your arguments are the equivalent of monkeys in a tree verbally flinging poo at monkeys in a neighboring tree, in that they are howlings without point or substance and you would cause more people to listen to you and maybe give you some credit if you used logic and facts... Well that might convince some lurker who is thinking of posting something controversial in the future, of course it wouldn't affect you.

Because see above.

203 You want a real alternative to the BSA? Try the Young Marines. Run by former active duty Marines, they are what the BSA once was with a nice dash of self discipline added. Open to boys and girls from roughly tweens to high-school aged. It's been my pleasure to work with them on a few occasions during Project Appleseed events and these kids really learn the things the Scouts used to do (Boys and Girls) and the don't pussyfoot around firearms, or the like. Then we worked with the kids on the firing line with no firearms experience, they were by far safer, kept proper muzzle discipline and had a can do attitude, better than many adults that I've worked with. Definitely worth a look if your hoping for something like the BSA used to be.
