We have known they were biased, forever, and lying about it, constantly. We've always wanted to do this. But George Stephanopolous has given us the no-more-arguing-about-it justification for putting a boycott into practice. Let's all recall that the Democrats' 2012 #WarOnWomen main campaign theme was not announced by an acknowledged partisan, but by an unacknowledged, covert one -- George Stephanopolous, injecting birth control into the Republican debate, and furthermore asking about Mitt Romney's views on it -- though Mitt Romney had never before indicated he had any political opinion on birth control. (And his confused, What the hell are you talking about? response signaled that.) The question was, maybe, appropriate if directed towards Rick Santorum, but then, the Democrat Party wasn't afraid of Rick Santorum -- they were doing their Battlespace Preparation against Mitt Romney, not Santorum. And George Stephanopolous sounded the opening trumpet of that battle. He says the question was not planted. Here's what I say: He's a goddamned liar. Also, he does a thing at UVM where he sits in on business classes and for the final exams lets students pitch their ideas to him. Which I thought was cool. He doesn't get paid to do that. I've had several buddies who have got to meet him in person and pitch ideas as their final presentation, and they said he actually gives good feedback and gets involved.

We almost need a Union mentality of sticking to a strike and denouncing "scab" Republicans that feed the beast.
At least the GOP has started to wrangle the debate process in. I personally think they should have gone much further. You could not have designed a better primary for Obama and Democrats than the one in 2012.

Limit each debate to 5 candidates. Take 5 polls the week prior to the debate. The top 5 are in the debate. Then do this before every debate. If some candidates move up or down in the polling, the candidates asked to the debate get swapped out as well.
And no more than 1 debate every 2 weeks with no debates before September.

Yep. I think the answer to the question is in the question. We know... and I mean all of us know, if you had one Republican candidate for President who got up in public and announced he considers the media to be the enemy, and he is going to attempt to communicate directly with the American people, without their attempts to distort his words, he would essentially sew up the nomination right then and there.

I believe Steyn has said he also worked as a DJ in the UK for a while in the late '80's and speaking like a native helped get him the job.
I once saw Canadian author Robertson Davies give a speech. Davies went to Oxford and worked on the British stage for a while in the 1930's, but returned to Canada during the war. In the late 1980's he still retained an upper class Brit accent.
It seems like once a Canuck develops an English accent he becomes very reluctant to give it up.

Someone who has been the victim of a government action because of a religious or patriotic display on their own property.
Someone whose child or children has been victimized by a school system because of an unapproved t-shirt.

who has been targeted by the IRS because they were involved with a
patriotic group or criticized the current Administration.

Frankly,
I would expect a lot of the candidates for both parties to scurry like

There is a French expression that translates as something like "the wisdom of the stairs" which is where as you are going down the stairs on your way home, you suddenly realize what brilliant reply you should have made to that asshole a half hour ago.
When George Steffanopolous came up with that off the wall question about birth control, it came from so out of the blue it stunned most of the people who were watching the debate. I don't think you can train a candidate to answer every single question and it takes somebody with a certain in born talent to instantly see past the question to the tactic and agenda of Stephenopolous asking that question as the opening shot of the bullshit Democrat "war on women" campaign.
I suppose that a candidate could have a response for an off the wall question asking if the reporter is cooperating in a Democrat campaign strategy but they will simply say no and all their other dishonest Democrat reporter buddies will back them up.

Ingredients
5 slices bacon
1 garlic clove, chopped
1/3 cup egg substitute
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Preparation
Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp; drain on paper towels, reserving 1 tablespoon drippings. Crumble bacon.
Process reserved bacon drippings, garlic, egg substitute, and lemon juice in a food processor until smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides. With processor running, pour oil through food chute in a slow, steady stream. Stir in bacon.

Concerning the war in Iraq, let's get everyone on the same page.
First, anyone given the same circumstances and intelligence would have gone to war. It would have been a blatant refusal to uphold the oath of office if someone ignored every intelligence agency in the world saying Saddam had WMD.
Second, it was the most successful war in U.S. history. In one month, a few divisions of our forces defeated the 4th largest standing army in the world, with less than 200 casualties.
It was a cake walk.
Had we wanted, it would have paid for itself.
What happened in the reconstruction of the country is up for debate. However, it shouldn't take away the from the fact the "war" was won quick and easy.
Get every republican to start hammering that home every time some asshat reporter asks about Iraq and I can assure you that the subject will go away.

Did Romney go to law school? I thought he studied business.
I never went to law school and my thought was that the matter had been settled in courts somewhere and some when but I could not have cited Griswold v. Connecticut and for all I know there may still be some legal ambiguity on the matter.
I do know that I have been involved in a number of large software projects and that anybody who was involved in a management position for a software project that was rolled out without testing on a day when it had to work the first time like the Orca project ought to be fired and never trusted with any level of management responsibility ever again. Since Mitt Romney was the guy in charge, that ended any illusions I had ever had about his competence. It also ended any lingering illusions I still had about the competence of Republican Party consultants after the McCain campaign and their complicity in the smearing of Sarah Palin.

His entire reason for asking that question was to introduce the idea that Republicans are against birth control. This is a theme the Dems continue to beat right throughout the last election and no amount of reasoned debate sways LIVs.

They should have locked them up in the barracks and kept paying them. Segregate the officers and keep the troops busy with calisthenics, marching and policing (cleaning) the camps.

We won the war in Iraq and everything was on track for Iraq to be a peaceful and normal country. Then Obama pulled all the US troops out and ISIS stepped into the power vacuum. Obama caused all the dead and maimed kids' sacrifice to be wasted.
If you like you can tie it into a pattern. Iraq is just like in the 1970s, the Democrats deliberately lost the Vietnam War after it had been won and wasted the lives of the kids who died there too. That is what Democrats do. That is why the United States will never win another war because Democrats will always find a way to lose it, even after we think we have won.

That still does not solve the problem that the next President after Bush was Obama who either through malice or incompetence lost the Iraq War and wasted the sacrifice of thousands of Americans there.
If we were going to do anything in Iraq, we should have removed their 20th century infrastructure and then attacked their cities with large nonnuclear bombs like the MOAB to kill off somewhere between a quarter and a third of their population. When the do gooder international organizations went in to save the population, they would have been slaughtered by the insurgents. Iraq today would be a Muslim Mad Max anarchy like Libya but that is where it is headed anyway because Obama pulled all the US troops out and lost the war after the war had been won.

It was a good bet at the time.
Iraq was mostly secular, women dressed like they do in the West, they worked in professions, Christianity was permitted, the people seemed to want to join the world community. The only thing standing in their way was Saddam and his sons.
There was great hope during the purple finger elections that thing would work out.
And what if they did?
What if the right leader had stepped up and took Iraq into the 21st century?
Then, everyone saying they knew invading Iraq was a bad idea would be saying it was a sure thing that the country would work.
Having an Arab democracy functioning in the Middle East would be worth trillions in savings over the decades by helping to bring the rest of the Muslim world along.
They would be carving Bush's face into Mt. Rushmore right now.
It was the right bet to take.
