1 Good Morning Morons, I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. Today is Monday, May 11, 2015. On this day in 1846 the United States declared war on Mexico. This was after a group of Mexican soldiers entered Texas and attacked a small group of US soldiers. Mexico was still claiming Texas at the time and was having a lot of internal difficulty and a lot of historians consider this to be an early wag the dog war.

5 Saudi King Will Miss Obama To Miss Gulf Nation Summit In US screams the Fox headline. That is misleading as hell while true. And the headline link from the main page is so bad it is even false. SAUDIS SKIP OUT King Salman to miss Gulf summit hosted by Obama. He has a summit of his own scheduled for the end of the conflict with the Yemen rebels. He is sending the crown prince in his stead to the US summit.

8 Members of the press are baiting Carson with really stupid questions like "is the President required to enforce laws declared Constitutional by the Supreme Court"? The Supreme Court does not rule laws "Constitutional". Carson did say that the President should enforce laws passed by congress. He then went on to talk about siding with the poor. More and more I am not impressed with Carson.

9 And here is another outrageous headline that amounts to a lie.

NY governor says nuclear plant fire created Hudson River oil slick

It was not a nuclear plant fire, it was a transformer fire and the fire fighting agent used to put out the fire leaked into the river. (It is not really oil). The plant doesn't know yet if any transformer oil leaked to the river (that would be worse than normal oil).

12 And The Hill headlines are just as bad. Their headline on the IRS investigation by congress implies that congress (and Republicans) are dragging out the investigation excessively. In fact, and they even include it in the article, it is caused by Obama stonewalling on answers and providing people who have been subpoenaed.

67 Morning, 'rons and 'ronettes. Thanks for the news, Vic.

In the late nineteenth century, the newspaperman Sam Davis, editor of the Carson Appeal, wasa very well-known writer, nicknamed "The Oracle of the Nevada Sagebrush." It so happened that the San Francisco Examiner, knowing of his reputation, contracted with him to meet the great actress Sarah Bernhardt, who was making her first tour of the western states.

Davis was a natural raconteur, a lively wit and a charming host; so charming, in fact, that the Divine Sarah simply refused to be interviewed by any other journalist during her West Coast swing. If she had something to say for publication, Davis said it for her.

After a triumphant tour, the time came for Bernhardt to head back east, and the two met for the last time in her private railroad car. As the locomotive bell was ringing, she put her hands on his shoulders, kissed him on both cheeks and then full on the mouth, saying, "The right cheek for the Carson Appeal, the left for the Examiner and the lips, my friend, for yourself."

With a twinkle in his eye, Davis replied, "Madame, I also represent the Associated Press, which serves 380 papers west of the Mississippi River!"

Here is Madame Bernhardt:

Which is probably true, it probably was an accident. Unfortunately for her, she was apparently under the influence of alcohol, and judging from her mugshot, she smoked quite a bit of doobage as well.

That's why she was charged. They actually were going for murder against her, which seems a bit like overkill.

That, and he has one of the same attributes -- the most important one -- that got Choom Boy the brass ring. But he didn't realize that one works only for Democrats.

It amazes me that even liberals couldn't see the rampant bullshit in Madame Choom Boy's message.

For someone who has scored big from Affirmative Action, political corruption and the public checkbook to whine about how difficult life has been for her just screams of hypocrisy. She and her hubby have been pampered, praised, and petted like show-inning puppies, and have gotten everything without showing any effort or merit.

Just shows you how deeply that phonus-bolonus ingrained race guilt really is.
