Come to find out, the boys vowed to save the name for their sister to use, when the time comes. She was Daddy's Little Girl, and they wanted her to be able to use it. Very sweet.

One of my facebook friends (black guy) was upset that the shark tank tv show people called these two black ladies 'colorful cockroaches'. Which is a slur now I guess? Anyways I watched the show and what the guy said was 'you will get crushed like the colorful (because they were wearing bright lipstick) cockroaches you are'. They were apparently going to post this outrage on 'black twitter'.

I think you're correct. But something I'm noticing is an effort by the left wing to pronounce that Ice Ages run on 100,000 year cycles. For some reason. They give it the correct name 'Milankovitch Cycle' -- then make up shit. It's funny -- they say the earth has this cute sounding 'wobble'. Well the fact is, the earth tilts a little further on its axis to one extreme for 10,000 years and warms, shedding the glaciers, then tilts to the other extreme for 10,000 years and slowly covers the most productive farmland on the planet under ice. And yes, it's heading in the Ice Age direction again.

I don't know about the two shots, both fatal point. TX Cops are taught like most others: keep shooting until the threat is ended. Given how fast one can pull the trigger (and keep it on target) it would be remarkable (though by no means impossible) for the officers to have fired only twice.

Camping with the cub scouts this weekend (had lots of fun, too much sun, and not enough sleep) there was a tarantula in one of the showers. Obviously, we left that shower alone (there 7 others, so it's not like it was an inconvenience, though it freaked out some of the women (and one of the men) camping with us).
The scouts have the concept of "leave no trace." Anything you take in, you pack back out. Leave nature alone to the extent possible, etc.
Nevertheless, someone squished the poor tarantula. I felt sad.
I mean, okay, killing a spider in your home- go for it. That spider is in your place. But killing a spider in *its* home? Not cool, man.

How do you determine if it is brandished? I suppose if you let it hang from a one point sling without putting your hands on it that would not be brandishing but if you took in your hands because the thing is banging against your legs or if you carried it any other way than slung there seems to be a reasonable chance that you could be accused of brandishing.

That reminds me.
Camping with the cub scouts this weekend (had lots of fun, too much sun, and not enough sleep) there was a tarantula in one of the showers. Obviously, we left that shower alone (there 7 others, so it's not like it was an inconvenience, though it freaked out some of the women (and one of the men) camping with us).
The scouts have the concept of "leave no trace." Anything you take in, you pack back out. Leave nature alone to the extent possible, etc.
Nevertheless, someone squished the poor tarantula. I felt sad.
I mean, okay, killing a spider in your home- go for it. That spider is in your place. But killing a spider in *its* home? Not cool, man.

Tarantulas are kind of cool and they don't hurt anything. It's easy to scoop them up and throw them outside, plus then you don't have to clean up the guts. I've done it, and I'm a chick. Tired of pussy men and women who are too scared to do that.
Now with something actually dangerous like a brown recluse or black widow you might to squish for safety with kids around.
