There's actually a major Social Justice Warrior controversy over whether we can call thugs "thugs," or whether that's -- wait for it -- racist.
Mayor Space-to-Destroy has apologized for calling looters and arsonists "thugs," but Obama hasn't. Josh Earnest says he stands by that word. Black Twitter called Obama an "Uncle Tom n*****r ass cracker" for using it. I wouldn't give Obama any kudos for "standing behind" the word thug. He stands behind everything he says and does, because he's a malignant narcissist who becomes petulant and angry when someone suggests fault in him. So, he's not standing behind "thug" out of course, but rather because it's his habit. And standing behind everything you do or say is not courage: In fact, it's cowardice. It takes bravery to examine oneself for flaws and to confess them. Obama's right on this point, but, of course: Accidentally. Oh, and you know what else is controversial? Whole Foods' donation of sandwiches to the National Guard, probably an encouragement to the Guard to stop the thugs from burning down their store. According to the dictionary, synonyms for thug include vandal, bandit, bully, criminal, gangster, goon, gunman, hooligan, rioter, rowdies, troublemakers, delinquents, gorilla, hood, punk, and ruffian. I'd be supportive of any of those terms, if thug (short by the way for Thuggee, who were organized gangs of thieves and assassins in India, destroyed by the British in the 1830s) is for some reason unacceptable.

I believe that. I think he figured out thatsince he is not a quarterback or other prominent position, he would need to do something to get attention and adopted the "heel"role for media attention, which turned into a lot of endorsement money. Very smart.

Would also depend on details - was it daylight or at night (where it would be harder to determine it was a toy)? Was it one of the many nerf or super-soaker type guns that all clearly toys (flourescent colored, etc.) or was it a more realistically styled gun in a dark color, made to mirror an actual gun model? Under what circumstances was he using the gun - was he chasing around friends and laughing (playing cops and robbers, water pistols) or was he the only one w/a toy gun and it wasn't obviously role-play game to an outsider?

Whole Foods here almost always stocks it. Nice to patronize them (for once) considering the Baltimore crap. And if they have shoulder or blade chops, they can grind it. Try to get the least fatty ones, although it is naturally not that lean a cut.

Washington D.C. is higher, with about the same success rate.
