Hillary, the Super Moderate: To Secure Abortion Rights, We're Just Going to Have Change "Deep-Seated," Fundamental Religious Beliefs

No big deal. We just need to "move past" this Jesus feller that has everyone so hateful and anti-woman and shit.

"Far too many women are denied access to reproductive health care and safe childbirth, and laws don’t count for much if they're not enforced. Rights have to exist in practice -- not just on paper," Clinton said.

"Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will," she explained. "And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed. As I have said and as I believe, the advancement of the full participation of women and girls in every aspect of their societies is the great unfinished business of the 21st century and not just for women but for everyone -- and not just in far away countries but right here in the United States."

Video and commentary at the link.

Just in case she later tries to claim she was speaking of Pakistan -- and, by the way, I do think it's important to talk up some liberalism and women's rights in states like that -- she puts the exclamation point on it all by adding "not just... but right here in the United States."

So we're not talking about giving up barbaric tribal practices about forced marriages and throwing acid in girl's faces if they don't fancy you; we're talking about getting rid of Jesus, or at least rewriting huge parts of Christian/Catholic tradition, right here in the USA.

You should also know that the Bible is the book that made the biggest influence on Hillary:

But then, Hillary has also told us, before changing her mind (like a woman!), that heterosexual marriage was a sacred, fundamental thing about the raising and socializing of children, whose roots go back into the very "mists of history."

…the fundamental bedrock principle that exists between a man and a woman, going back into the mists of history as one of the founding, foundational institutions of history and humanity and civilization, and that its primary, principal role during those millennia has been the raising and socializing of children for the society into which they are to become adults.

I guess the media could ask Hillary if she supports the ACLU's lawsuit to compel Catholic charities to perform abortions on illegal immigrants, but the media never asks Hillary Clinton questions about policies that might expose the left as extremist. They just ask her general questions like if she thinks Girls Are Smart.

Note the ACLU is doing precisely what Hillary advocated -- they're trying to set aside deep-seated religious codes and beliefs in order to make sure (illegal immigrant) women have full "reproductive freedom."

So she should be asked about this -- But she won't be. Ever.

This is pure, unadulterated horseshit. Doctor visits and delivery in a hospital are paid for on the taxpayer's dime. If they don't go to their prenatal visits, then tough shit, that's on them. (posted by Insomniac)

Exactly. And as a more general point, this is a great example of the absolutely ridiculous, untrue, non-facts that are bandied about by the fascist/racist dominant political culture. Like the zillions of involuntarily financially uninsured ..... or, rather, the fairly small number of same, in reality.

And if you ever have a moment where you forget how degraded and ridiculous a country you now live in, find the audio of the screeching idiot Clinton with her "I'm sick and tired of being told that dissent is unpatriotic (or whatever the exact quote is)" statement back during the Iraq war. They have this idea that every social ill in our country (slavery, Jim Crow, etc.) was the result of religious bigotry. Then an enlightened generation rose up and changed the law to conform to progressive principles. Thus they wonder, "What's the big deal on homosexuality? If these people could be made to see the light on slavery and racism, why not on gays? Why not on abortion?" Many are spurred on by progressive Christians (who have all-but abandoned scripture as a source of faith entirely.)

Is it any wonder they say things like this and are stunned when people find it threatening?

I've been trying to find a real-world analog for that, so far unsuccessfully. I was going to call them "Reporters," but that name was already taken by a different kind of profession.

P.S. Ayers Friends, in Prairie Fire, wanted to bump off 25%, not 10%, of the population. Aaaaand he's a big player in public education, which desperately needs to be removed from the hands of the Permanent Revolutionary Bureaucracy before they get us all enslaved.

http://www.zombietime.com/zomblog/?p=1953

Margaret Sanger quotes about race and eugenics

"The following quotes are all taken from two of Margaret Sanger’s books: The Pivot of Civilization, published in 1922; and Woman and the New Race, published in 1920. There are countless other Sanger quotes about race and eugenics, not just in these two books but in many of her other books as well, not to mention various letters and essays of hers which have been preserved. The quotes you see here, therefore, are not a thorough examination of her views on these topics, but rather just a few verified examples which researchers, pundits and advocates on either side can use, cite, republish, download or link to freely.

...

[Eugenics] sees that the most responsible and most intelligent members of society are the less fertile; that the feeble-minded are the more fertile. Herein lies the unbalance, the great biological menace to the future of civilization. Are we heading to biological destruction, toward the gradual but certain attack upon the stocks of intelligence and racial health by the sinister forces of irresponsibility and imbecility? This is not such a remote danger as the optimistic Eugenist might suppose. The mating of a moron with a person of sound stock may, as Dr. Tredgold points out, gradually disseminate this trait far and wide until it undermines the vigor and efficiency of an entire nation and an entire race. This is no idle fancy.

...

Those least fit to carry on the race are increasing most rapidly. People who cannot support their own offspring are encouraged by Church and State to produce large families. Many of the children thus begotten are diseased or feeble-minded; many become criminals. The burden of supporting these unwanted types has to be borne by the healthy elements of the nation. Funds that should be used to raise the standard of our civilization are diverted to the maintenance of those who should never have been born.

Sanger founded Planned Parenthood to counteract the influence of the typical “maternity center” of the day, whose pro-life advice to lower-class pregnant women

“…encourages the healthier and more normal sections of the world to shoulder the burden of unthinking and indiscriminate fecundity of others; which brings with it, as I think the reader must agree, a dead weight of human waste. Instead of decreasing and aiming to eliminate the stocks that are most detrimental to the future of the race and the world, it tends to render them to a menacing degree dominant.”

On pages 84-7 of Pivot, Sanger once again reveals her true opinions by using the example of a black family to illustrate how “feeble-minded” women contaminate society with their criminal offspring:
“Here is a typical case showing the astonishing ability to ‘increase and multiply,’ organically bound up with delinquency and defect of various types: ‘The parents of a feeble-minded girl, twenty years of age, who was committed to the Kansas State Industrial Farm on a vagrancy charge, lived in a thickly populated Negro district which was reported by the police to be the headquarters for the criminal element of the surrounding State….The mother married at fourteen, and her first child was born at fifteen. In rapid succession she gave birth to sixteen live-born children and had one miscarriage. …’”

The quote then goes on for several paragraphs to list how nearly all of the black woman’s children had become scourges on society:
“‘…The eighth, a boy who early in life began to exhibit criminal tendencies, was in prison for highway robbery and burglary. The ninth, a girl…had also been arrested several times for soliciting. The tenth, a boy, was involved in several deliquencies. … The twelfth, a boy, was at fifteen years of age implicated in a murder…’”

and so on for all sixteen black children. Sanger concludes,
“The notorious fecundity of feeble-minded women is emphasized in studies and investigations of the problem….Feeble-minded women constitute a permanent menace to the race….”

etc.etc.etc.etc.

All irrefutably and conclusively documented.

This woman founded Planned Parenthood. These were her reasons for it.

254 I know Das Kapital better than the Bible. Abortion has never figured in any vote I've ever cast, plays zero role in any political affiliation I might have once had, nor have I ever commented on the topic (in my memory) in my life. And my agnosticism would make ace look like FenelonSpoke (just to set the framework). And yet, and yet, being hardwired for logic, I cannot take almost any pro-abortion "arguments" seriously, since they aren't. So let's not always go with the "weak form" (to steal an ace construct) on abortion.

The weak form opposing abortion just relies on doctrine, teaching, religious tradition (no knock on these, not at all, but they're a certain sort of basis for a position, based on external moral authority). The strong form is simply common sense logic. On both elements of the question: 1) when does life begin, and 2) what are the limits of personal freedom WRT this question.

There's no serious argument that life somehow begins any time after conception. It's simply silly and illogical. It's just more obvious, and more emotionally involving, when you get to the various sorts of visible behaviors and features later in pregnancy. This was obvious well before the "viability" and incorrect "scientific" or "medical" dodges were debunked by advances in actual science.

Andof course society, naturally, allows "personal choice" on exactly zero other questions of this sort. None at all. Otherwise we'd all be operating under our own independent definitions of homicide, property rights, theft, on and on. So unless pregnant women are, magically, given life/death authority over another person (whatever their stage of development), then abortion cannot be logically supported.

Pure case of convenience and moral laziness, really.

Oh, and for Catholic charities and illegals. Yeah, f**k 'em. Religious motivations are clearly excluded as excuses for attacking the civil order, rule of law, and the other evils that abound with illegal immigration.

259 >>>> Up until the point when life begins there is a social consensus that abortion is OK. For you, when does life begin?

Historically, the equivalent question inquired as to whether all of mankind had souls or not.

Variously, it was argued blacks did not, or all non-whites, and some still say whites do not possess souls. Then, women may not have had them, and almost everybody thought the poor had no souls.

Why was that an important question, and why is it similar to this abortion argument?

Obama is the same, though in his case there is the thinnest, most pathetic difference of a certain glibness and cool that appeals to very, very stupid people (effectively stupid - meaning they could be PhDs, and often are). Hillary is a parody of a ridiculously unfit, unseemly, nasty, unreliable, dishonest fringe freak.

Oh, and Thunder, kudos for your patience and perseverance in the drone-strike thread yesterday. My conclusion that there is no hope for the country on national security matters is partly based on the aggressive cluelessness you were battling in that thread.

341 125 I'm telling you, people, they're doing the French Revolution all over again.

Red China's Cultural Revolution.

The shunning, the unpersoning, the reeducation, the threats of violence and actual violence, the use of govt for all of the above, using a vanguard of youth for their dirty work.

Several of Obama's crew outed themselves as Maoists early on.

Plus, Mao ornaments on White House Xmas tree, during TFG's first year.

Read the sidebar link on the Armenian genocide. They killed 1.5 million Christians during your grandparents' lifetime. You never hear a peep about it. But the Crusades!

How did they kill these people? Make sure the people don't sympathize with the victims. Dumb down the population then feed them a bunch of propaganda about how they are scheming, unpatriotic, conspirining with your enemies to deny you what is rightfully yours, then just round them all up.

Jenner says he took hormones in the 80s but stopped after he met Kris 10 yrs later. How can you want to be a woman and still want to stick your dick inside a woman and be a father, etc.? And will he address the high suicide rate and what happens if he wants his dick back?

Bruce, gender is not the same thing as sexuality. Hence a tranny can be attracted to people of xer's cissex, or the opposite of xer's cissex. For instance Chastity "Chazz" Bono is attracted to women, and Kathlyn "Stephen Ira" Beatty is attracted to men and describes xieself as a "fag".The same holds true for MtFs. For instance Janet Mock is attracted to men, and Jenner, as you note, to women. It is fascinating that for MtFs, there is by and large a binary taxonomy that applies in almost all cases:Homosexual Transsexuals: these transition early (by their early 20s at the latest), are attracted exclusively to men, and pass very well (ie. they are convincing)Autogynephilic Transsexuals: these transition late (30's 40's even 50's), are heterosexual or bisexual, and tend to pass extremely poorly (ie. not convincing at all)And guess which category Jenner fits into? And I still hope Ace live tweets this interview. That's going to be fun.

343 All I can think of is that the Church retains a European distrust of capitalism and simply doesn't understand how economies work.

That seems to be a European problem, but then you've got that new liberation theology Argentinian pope. It'll get worse.

27Why do Catholics continue to support and co-operate with Dems, despite the undeniable evidence the left despises them and is trying to destroy them?
because hispanics.but that is starting to change now that the left has completely dropped the maskand started to attack the very foundation of catholic doctrine

345 I'm not religious, but the Kermit Gosnell thing proved that the Christians were right all along about abortion. I used to have a nuanced view on abortion, but after seeing the left look the other way while a mass murderer chopped fully-formed babies' heads off with scissors after they were birthed in toilets, now I know what abortion is really about. The left are a bunch of sick fucks, and they don't deserve an ounce of moral consideration.

347 Hitlery is going to change the Bible to serve her political agendas, but refuses to direct such intentions towards the Koran. That's NOT AN OVERSIGHT, thats the continueing jihad Christian hostile demorats are engaging in. They ARE hostile towards Christians, but clearly mute and non judgmental towards Islam, giving Islam the victory by default. THATS THE REAL AGENDA, HITLERY AND DEMORAT PARTY, being OWNED BY muslim money. Notice how they refuse to represent Americans, but will represent them ?

348 Hillary Clinton gave one
of the more scarier speeches I've heard to date. While giving the keynote
address at the Women in the World Summit, Clinton expresses a clear disregard
for religious beliefs; the very basis of our Founding Fathers religious freedom
revolution. Basic religious convictions are usually deep rooted and go
unchanged throughout the centuries...it is that religious bond that has kept
people and tribes together ever since the days that there was no overwhelming
federal government dictating our every thought, word, and deed. When Hillary
starts suggesting we change religious beliefs how are Christians going describe
themselves after Christ is removed from the belief system? Did not Christ give
us those deep-seated cultural codes? What is she going to do, ask Christ to
change the rules?
Ever since the
Clintons came into the political arena they have showed nothing but a quest for
power and bigger government...now Hillary wants to overrule Christ. ~ Norman E. Hooben
PS... Do you
know what is more scarier than Hillary's speech?
The audience
applauded!
