You don't let Vladimir Putin buy half of your own uranium production. But Bill and Hill were friends with Guistra, and Guistra was a very friendly friend, to the tune of $131 million in donations to the Clinton Global Initiative, in addition to arranging for foreign governments to pay the Clintons directly for speeches. Unbelievable. Watch the whole thing. Via @gabrielMalor. This will never get legs. Not even with the nuclear weapons potential, not with the Putin angle, not with the 'paid by foreign governments' tangent. Nothing will get legs unless Hillary WANTS it to get legs. Or, scary thought, Hillary's disposable to the left. In that case, this story explodes, completely breaks the back of her campaign and plows the road for a Warren/Sanders ticket in 2016. I was hired by the George Soros Super PAC to infiltrate conservative comment boards and make comments that make conservatives doubt themselves and their candidates. By dispiriting the conservative base online, it'll help Hillary win. Then my boss will be able to finally drain the middle class of America of its remaining resources and destroy the freedoms that he doesn't like other people to have.
Some examples are, "Rand isn't even a libertarian." "I would've voted for Ron, but not Rand". "I used to be a Republican, but Ted Cruz is just crazy". "Walker destroyed his state" and "I don't love Hillary, but I'd vote for her over any of the Republicans". I'll be coming to a comment board near you! Say "hi" when you see me. I'd buy the whole grand conspiracy to use Hillary paving the way for Warren theory but... there are too many and too big egos involved for that to even get off the table. And Warren didn't really win by that much in Massachusetts, against a Republican. I don't buy her as a real strong national candidate except with the far left.

"I will never understand conservatives. . ."
The answer is simple. They are afraid. They don't like risk, they don't want to cause trouble, they don't want lynch mobs on their front lawn. They shut up and go to work every day. When Obama said, 'get in their faces' he knew exactly what he was saying, and so did his peeps. When #BlackLivesMatter show up at your restaurant, and sit down at your table, and eat your lunch, conservatives get up and leave, because they don't want any trouble. No, no I think Clinton is absolutely in this for real. But I think the Dem power brokers aren't too thrilled about that and will struggle mightily to find someone else, like they did in '08. We shall see who that is, and even if it materializes. Hillary has had 6 years to neutralize any threats in the D establishment, so maybe she knee capped everyone. Who knows? I know dem voters are *not* excited about Hillary. Well, if none of the candidates gets a majority of the electoral votes, it goes to second / third rounds of voting and eventually ends up at the House. And if it's a jeb / hillary slug match... yeah, the drama would be exciting. Because I don't care -- out of those two -- who wins. It would also be an important step to laying the groundwork for a real third party. Sacrifice a few elections, get the ground game going, get on the ballot in all 50 states, set up a primary process, etc... hell, if we had done that in '08 instead of voting for mccain, we'd probably be ready to field a serious contender on a third party ticket by now. The only thing holding me up from going all in for Cruz is that I want to know his stance on the Feds interfering in state's rights.
Chris Christie announced that as POTUS he would fight the states that legalized marijuana. It's not the weed, it's the principle. Conservatives cannot have it both ways. If we run around saying that states have rights and the feds should butt out, we can't turn around and say, well, except for (fill in the blank.) This is important, and again, it has NOTHING to do with weed, it has to do with principle. If Cruz is willing to respect state's rights, I'm in. Can you imagine what would happen if conservatives undertook this peaceful divorce thing on their own.
Game it out with me: Conservatives in America slowly start re-locating to the same Congressional districts. As a result, those districts start sending more and more actual conservatives to Congress. Expansion starts, with more and more adjacent districts being taken over. District after district, state after state would become more polarized as the conservatives rallied themselves in one geographical area. Voila. Divorce. No one dies. But (and I forget who said this) the real corruption in DC isn't the ILLEGAL stuff they do behind closed doors, its the LEGAL stuff they do basically out in the open. But if you think that Boehner doesn't have former staff members in no-show jobs for big donors, and doesn't have his little fingers in millions of shady deals (based on LEGAL insider info), and doesn't have family /friends who own businesses that are government "contractors" who he steers work to, etc. etc etc you're wrong. Every political candidate is interviewing for a job when they run for office. And their job is a very important, high-profile, high-paying, and high-power one. They need to show us their resume, their proof of citizenship, their background, and their qualifications for the job. If they cannot or will not do it, then its time for someone else. It occurs to me that the Clintons have gotten away with this for so long is, b/c a lot of fellow travelers in DC have made serious bucks of of these types of deals. Just think for a moment... how many tips were shared so some money could be made on the legal side of knowing what the next sweetheart deal would be. I think there is a LOT of that going on in DC.

The "mine" that Uranium 1 currently has in Wyoming is an in-situ leaching operation, and the ore is very low-grade. I doubt it would be profitable if the true costs were known. I'm thinking that Uranium 1 is much more a "pump and dump" operation than a real player in global uranium production. Of course, that doesn't alter the corruption aspect any, except to confirm that it's business as usual.

Probably, although the news folks are getting vocal about disliking how the Clintons are treating them. And unlike President Obama, they can criticize the Clintons without worrying about seeming racist.
Yea, the press is getting testy. She has taking no questions since she announced. Listen to the frustration in their voices when they shout questions at her. Effectively the same thing as voting: people who despise me are in power abusing it to enrich themselves and advance an agenda I do not like. But I can rest in the knowledge that I didn't help them get there. Posted by: Christopher Taylor at April 23, 2015 03:09 PM (39g3+) 276
It's too early to tell but I've been thinking about voting for some screwy third party on the theory that whoever wins, if there are enough like me, they will see that if you add together all of the screwy third party vote, it would amount to a very significant number of people who are fed up and who are not going to take it anymore. It seems to me that may be the best message I could send.

An irony of all of this is that there is a nuke power plant not far from NY City. I did contract work at one of the reactors. Hillary, as senator, would frequently tour the facilities and she would bitchily tell the workers there how she was going to close the plant and make certain that all of the people who worked there, lost their jobs.
I am not exaggerating one bit. She was vociferously opposed to nuke power and she was a bitch about it. Posted by: LoneStarHeeb at April 23, 2015 03:14 PM (BZAd3) Posted by: Anna Puma (+SmuD) at April 23, 2015 03:15 PM (Ei7xc) 298
