So, even the New York Times reveals the truth behind the GOP sell-out on the phony Iran deal:

MONEY. And shit tons of it.

Evidently Ned Lamont (the guy who ran against Joe Lieberman) led a delegation to Tehran to discuss potential business deals once sanctions were unilaterally lifted.

As Lenin once said, "the capitalists will sell us the rope with which to hang them." And lest we forget, a lot of American companies made a shitload of money selling goods and services to the Nazi's pre-Pearl Harbor. Including IBM, who gave them the technology to implement the Final Solution.

This is just about as low as it all gets. Unreal, yet all too real.

I loved that Granny (in a non-sexual way). I think it was a parody of Irene "Granny Clampett" Ryan from the Beverly Hillbillies.

Maybe there's a resemblance in physiognomy with Shrillary, but that old dame in the cartoon seems like she has the gumption to make a damn good president.

.I don't think most of us will. Think about what happened in Connecticut after the assault rifle ban went into effect last year. All we really saw was lines of people waiting to register their AR-15's. That was all over the news. What we didn't see were the 500,000+ people who refused to register their guns, they became automatic felons by failing to register.

Think about that. Half a million people chose to violate a State law, and the State knows it. And they pretty much know who most of those people are and where they live. They know that because virtually all of them also have concealed carry permits which are required in CT to buy a pistol. All they have to do is cross check both lists together and bingo!

And the State is scared Shitless about it and more importantly completely helpless to do anything about it. Not one single peep from anyone about the failure of those people to comply with the brand spanking new gun laws. The State is scared of them and wont do anything to them even though they pretty much have a list of names and addresses for each of them.

Think about that. And I am glad we finally were able to move out of that hell hole two years ago this month.

.I totally disagree. The true test was by failing to register one of the newly banned rifles when you know good and well the State will know exactly who you are and that you failed to comply. That was the true test of wills. And that is why the State wont do a thing.

.Trust me, if the State of Connecticut knew how to silently round up 500K people in the dead of the night without alerting anyone they would do it, but they can't and everyone knows it, and they hate it.

Connecticut is the tip of the Liberal iceberg as far as gun control goes and the Left doesn't like it and refuses to talk about it. Way too many people went underground to avoid the new law.

The Hartford Courant newspaper put out a short series after the registration went into effect and the "lack of compliance" that went with it and promptly went dark on it about a week later. I would guess the State asked them to quit the series for obvious reasons.

I have no idea. What is truly frightening is that the police are not stupid. Between Miranda and G-d knows what else, to arrest someone - especially like that - requires all sorts of red tape and procedures that the fact that no one in that squad stood up and protested or refused to do that job is frightening.

I suppose that the higher-ups threatened, expressly or otherwise, any officer who disobeyed the orders. SCOAMF himself threatened ICE agents publicly if they defied him.

Who the hell wants to have happen to them what happened to "Serpico?"

But then again there are a few SS personnel who refused to gas or shoot the Jews and were not punished in any way.

We are really heading further and further into places I do not even want to contemplate. Yet, I have to.

I don't care if violating that gag order, legal or not, is going to get me in deeper trouble. I will not follow that order. WILL. NOT.

After contacting outside family and a lawyer, I'm calling/notifying conservative media, my state legislators, starting a website, and renting a billboard on a busy urban highway. That's the first step in my legal defense.

I'd have already been declared a target. Game on. What are they going to do, taunt me and my family again? I fart in their general direction.

Regulatory capture. The ACA is an example of this. Still, in the end, the problem is not capitalism per se, but coercive government, and amoral greed.

People need to escape the trap of considering amoral greed to be a synonym for capitalism. It could just as easily be a synonym for coercive big government.

More than enough people self-identify as capitalists that I think it doesn't make much difference as to where the term came from.

What we know, because we see it every day, is that the government can show its favor on a company, any company, and that entity ceases to be built on capital. It is now bought and paid for, like our politicians.

And because there are so many entities that are able to nimbly jump back and forth, from sucking on the government teet, to claiming an independence as "rugged capitalists" that it is difficult to tell the difference anymore.

There is a treatise in the back of the Chrichton book 'State of Fear' in which he compares AGW and it's adherents to those who championed eugenics. Both were/are based on altruism and 'superior intellect'. He makes a pretty good argument.

Yes. But more government regulation will never be the key. Like good judo masters, they'll always find ways to coopt government committees and turn things to their advantage, even if Warren is elected. That will only make things worse.

To give an analogy, if you want to eat healthy, the best way is to avoid junk food, not try to regulate or rail against the companies that make junk food.

You should have used Nazis as the example, even at the risk of being called out re: Godwin's Law. (And you know, I think it's about time to retire Godwin, because it's entirely appropriate to call people Nazis when they are, in fact, acting like Nazis).

Everyone knows the Nazis were bad, even the LIVs. They've been told the Nazis were evil "right wingers." The evil ones who were undeniably left-wingers, Cheka, Khmer Rouge, Stasi, Shining Path...well, we don't talk about them, and don't teach the kids about them...those 100 million corpses rather spoil the Left Wing Narrative.

My second company command was an AIT Company. I had a female Drill Sergeant for a little less than a year. She was just not going to take shit - because Drill Sergeant - but she also had to crank it to eleventy because she didn't want to be seen as "softer" than the male drills. So she was a sadist.

And. It. Was. Awesome.

Never had a malingering/slacking problem from females or males when she was around. For the guys, she called them out as pussies whenever they'd try that shit. For the women, here approach was basically, "Fuck you, Cupcake. I'm on the rag too, now get your shit together and get in formation."

Seeing a bunch of NCOs typing up counseling statements makes for a shitty movie.

Writing up Officer Fitreps can be tedious but sometimes it can also be a lot of fun since some of these shitbag Officers can give you a lot to laugh about. If people only knew what was said in some of our Fitrep Boards.

242 Nevergiveup,

The likelihood of Obama allowing the USN to board and search for Iranian weapons is about as likely as SMOD HITTING ME RIGHT NOW.

246 I had to type up fellow NCOERs, due some of them being unable to spell, punctuate, etc.

Yeah, I got plenty of chuckles when I read them, and rater comments...lol.

Awards were even more hilarious.

249 >>Evidently Ned Lamont (the guy who ran against Joe Lieberman) led a
delegation to Tehran to discuss potential business deals once sanctions
were unilaterally lifted.

Let me guess: Lamont campaigned as protector of the little guy/poor, right?
Because it's totes normal for an "everyday American" to visiting Iran to check out potential business opportunities.

These people are so transparently greedy and opportunistic.

Hey, you can never be too prepared for the rise of the living dead.

The first three George Romero "Dead" films were documentaries.

251 President Cruz, Paul, Forina or Walker might consider targeting the unindicted felons from the current administration and others--Lerner, Holder, Hillary!, Fitzgerald, the...-- to ensure that faith in the rule of law is restored.

I hope one of those two issue TEN executive orders per day. Jam it right up the @ss of the liberals and progressives. Defund every pet project. Midnight cowboy poetry reading? Sorry, no money.

Root out each and every dollar of that bullshit.

Agreed. But what of the reverse, perhaps his intention is have the USN genuflect for the benefit of the Iranians. I mean at this point would you really put that past the guy?
