Good Morning Morons. Today is Monday, April 13, 2015. On this day in 1976 the United States Treasury Department reintroduced the two-dollar bill as a Federal Reserve Note on Thomas Jefferson's 233rd birthday as part of the United States Bicentennial celebration. This bill is so seldom used that many people think that it has been withdrawn from circulation. It has not but they do not print many of them. You don't see many of them because people are hoarding them and the mint doesn't print many because of low demand. Low demand because merchants do not like them (cash registers only have so many slots.) The same thing happened the last time they tried to issue dollar coins. But that disaster was caused by making them the same size as the quarter and again cash registers were the problem.

13 Thousands protest Brazil's President over corruption and a stalled economy. It is ironic that one year ago today Brazil was being touted along with China as the new economic power houses overtaking the US who remained stuck in a stalled economy. That was on our morning post one year ago today. Now we find that it was all hype. China and Brazil both are just as bad as we are. So what do all three countries have in common, they are all socialist/communist.

66 There was a major showdown over an RB-47 shot down by the Russians in 1960. Kind of a big deal about recon flights in these situations: theoretically, military officers are "name, rank, and serial number," while CIA or other nominally civilian spooks (like for instance Francis G. Powers) are "instructed to sing" to avoid torture.

The Russians are now flying with transponders turned off, and are tetchy as hell about Kaliningrad, making most of central Yerp their new playground. Our side had no problem keeping up in the last Cold War because, although we didn't realize it right away, there was a lot of surplus GNP laying around. Now we're short of cash, credit, and factories. Interesting times we have made, for ourselves to live in.

80 Chelsea Clinton gets paid $50k a year to sit on the board of IAC, an internet media company owned by Barry Diller. She also sits on the board of a ballet company; again, her vast training and experience with ballet dancing make her an invaluable board member. Who can forget her stunning performance as . . . er, never mind. Chelsea "likes" ballet, and that's what counts!

LOL. Yes, Hillary entered her profession before Bill became Attorney General of Arkansas, but she failed rather spectacularly.

Her first job out of law school was on a Watergate committee on Capitol Hill. Hillary was fired from that job, for her unethical behavior, and the congressman for whom she worked refused to write her a letter of recommendation. Then Hillary took, and flunked, the D.C. bar exam.

At that point, with no job and no prospects and having failed the D.C. bar exam, Hillary decided to follow Bill Clinton to Arkansas -- where she rode his coattails for the rest of her "professional" life. She only got her job at the Rose Law firm because of her connection to Bill Clinton. And of course, she only got her First Lady and Senator jobs because of Bill Clinton too.

The Kennedy's are probably #1 in terms of greed, will to power, ruthlessness and in the legacy of destruction to the republic and the Constitution.

The only Kennedy I ever liked was Jackie because she saved and restored Grand Central Station. And she wasn't even a Kennedy by birth. And most of her money was Onassis'.

107 Chelsea Clinton gets paid $50k a year to sit on the board of IAC, an internet media company owned by Barry Diller. We all know about Chelsea's extensive internet media experience, so of course she was a natural choice for this position -- having worked for so long and so hard in internet media. She also sits on the board of a ballet company; again, her vast training and experience with ballet dancing make her an invaluable board member. Who can forget her stunning performance as . . . er, never mind. Chelsea "likes" ballet, and that's what counts!

As Hillary's mom will tell you, all us middle-class types routinely get offered do-nothing jobs as directors of companies in which we have no particular knowledge or experience. It's the American way! Money for nothing and your kicks for free!

That just isn't true though. The Obama administration is unique in many ways, not the least their ability to flaunt their illegal actions, and avoid all criticism. This is a truly unique time in this country's history, and Hillery is likely to get a backlash if she gets that far. Which I expect she won't. She is detested, and there will be no hiding it. The difference between trying to criticize a black guy and trying to criticize her is going to be substantial, and people can't quite see it now.

159 107 Chelsea Clinton gets paid $50k a year to sit on the board of IAC, an internet media company owned by Barry Diller.
=============================

One small correction: Chelsea got paid $299,969 in 2014 for serving on this board.

The SEC requires companies to explain why each director is on the board. Usually, its stuff like "her long years of financial experience" or "his manufacturing expertise" that earn board members their seats.

Chelsea is on the board to "bring a fresh, youthful perspective", according to IAC. Or, a get out of jail free card. One of the two; take your pick.

I agree. But Bill was still far superior to Hillary. Bill came out of an Arkansas trailer park, with a crazy mom and an abusive step-dad, and became a Rhodes Scholar and top Yale law grad. He went on to become Attorney General and then 2-term Governor of Arkansas. Love him or hate him, the man had intelligence, ambition, and real accomplishments, and he achieved those accomplishments on his own. Yes, he also had serious pathologies, and was completely unethical. But Bill, unlike Hillary (who is also completely unethical), didn't get where he did by marrying somebody more talented and then using their name and connections his entire life.

227 Well, bummer for me. It's going to rain next three days and I had to cancel a trout fishing trip. When it rains the river rises and you can not ford it.

228 Don't forget that part, the tens of thousands of businesses that closed here after that POS signed NAFTA.

The first NAFTA was actually negotiated back in 90 and signed by George HW Bush in 92.

Not really a bad Idea if they would have made the "FREE" part equal for all governments. We opened our borders, everyone else maintained some sort of tariff against our products.

But yeah, the DNC got paid by foreigners again and bill was guaranteed and steady supply of beer and young girls on rich folks private Islands.

Spieth so ably proved with his record setting performance at the

231 224 that is so slanderous.
Hillary would never tape $10 to a lawn sign to toss to someone.
The dollars flow TO Hillary, capisce?

232 Hillary joke for you all before I'm off for work:

Bill Clinton was driving past the White House when he accidentally ran over the Obama's new puppy, Sunny, crushing it flat as a fritter. He climbed out of his Rolls and sat down on the grass totally distraught. He knew Michele would go friggin' ballistic.

Then Bill noticed a lamp half-buried in the ground. He dug it up, brushed it off and immediately a Genie popped out. "You have freed me from thousands of years of imprisonment," said the Genie "As a reward I shall grant you one wish."

"Well," said Bill, "I have all the material things I need, but let me show you this damned dog."

They walk over to the splattered remains of Sunny. "Do you think you could bring this dog back to life for me?" Bill asked.

The Genie looked at the remains and shook his head. "This critter is too far gone for even me to bring it back to life. Maybe there's something else you'd like?"

Bill thought for a minute, reached into his pocket and pulled out two photos. "I had an affair with this beautiful young girl called Monica," said Bill, showing the genie the first photo. "But I'm actually married to this woman called Hillary" and he showed the genie the second photo. "You see what Hillary looks like, so do you think you can make her look like Monica?"

The Genie studied the two photographs and after a few minutes said, "Damn, let's have another look at that dog!"

234 Did folks here catch the story of the woman who was dangling her 2 year old over the wall at the Cleveland Zoo and accidentally dropped him into the Cheetah pit? She had to jump down and save him, and no one was hurt.

That kid is going to need years and years of therapy, but at least he wasn't lunch.

This. Democrat voters are amazingly stupid, and will come up with reasons to like what they are told to like.

Agreed, but I still can't figure out what part of "protecting American job's" politicians don't get. It seems that other countries can't build up their own economies, so we wind up giving them part of ours.

This whole global economy thingy isn't working out very well for us, which is probably by design.

BO was an unusually easy sell. Right place, right time, right set-up, easy to look at and listen too. H has none of that.

239 217 I don't recall a Ford with the bee sticker but Dodge
had the "Rumble Bee" pickups with the 5.7 V8 Hemi. Either way, I'd love
to have that power.....

Posted by: 1bulwetweft at April 13, 2015 08:39 AM (h4UbF)

Maybe it wasn't a "bee" but it did have a vertical strip at the rear on both sides of the bed near the tailgate. What I recall was the stripe looked a lot like the old 69 Dodge Super Bee.

In an ass backward way, in some sectors it is. Our economy has fallen to the point that Euro car manufacturers Are building car plants all over the south. Once BMW's small expansion is complete next year, Greer SC will be the largest BMW factory in the world, Not just outside of Germany, the world. Because of our sorry ass economy we have become a new source of cheap labor.

244 Not sure that casting Hillary! as an eevil 1 %er is such a winning strategy. Just a hunch.

Posted by: Republican branded oligarchy at April 13, 2015 09:40 AM (HEo6y)

245 Remember that article someone wrote here about how Hillary won't run, and if she does, she won't win the nomination, and if she does, she won't win the general election.

I hope everyone recognizes that every one of those three things is pure wishcasting. The first has fallen. Just wait for the next two.
