Want to start the morning pissed off? Here you go:

Organizers of a refugee reunion to mark the 40th anniversary of the fall of Saigon have canceled plans for a ceremony at Camp Pendleton because they will not be allowed to fly the South Vietnamese flag on the Marine base.

The Vietnamese American community would not be allowed to fly the flag on the base in San Diego County because it is the emblem of an "unrecognized country," said Jason Johnston, spokesman for Camp Pendleton. The United States has diplomatic relations with the communist government in Hanoi. "U.S. government law does not allow the flag of an unrecognized country to fly on federal land," he said.

6 Good Morning Morons. Today is Saturday, April 11, 2015. On this day in 1951 Democrat Harry Truman relieved Douglas MacArthur of overall command in Korea. He did this for "insubordination" due to McArthur's public comments critical of his "Europe First" policy while allowing Chinese aggression in Korea. We will never know but I think it is likely that if McArthur had been allowed to do the war the way he wanted we would have a unified Korea today and the nutbag administration in the north would never have existed. I will admit though, Generals should not publicly criticize or undermine their superiors.

9 Unindicted felon and unindicter OF felons Holder the chump warns DOJ employees against soliciting prostitutes (in foreign countries) because it is against DOJ policy. This was after it was revealed DOJ people attended a sex party with prostitutes arranged by drug cartels. The whole DOJ is looking like a shit-house filled with corruption. But that only reflects the leadership.

10 The ten CA deputies involved in that beating of the criminal trying to escape on a stolen horse have been placed on administrative leave. Again we have the tale of a video from the MFM and everyone is climbing all over it. We do not have the whole story. This guy is no angel, he has a rap sheet longer than John Holm's Johnson. So all should give a chance for the investigation to proceed. Of course the DOJ is already sticking its nose into this but since this doesn't involve one of Obama and Holder's chosen people that will probably go nowhere.

Huzzah!

Being overweight significantly reduces dementia risk

The team at Oxon Epidemiology and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine analysed medical records from 1,958,191 people aged 55, on average, for up to two decades.

Their most conservative analysis showed underweight people had a 39% greater risk of dementia compared with being a healthy weight. But those who were overweight had an 18% reduction in dementia - and the figure was 24% for the obese.

A papal letter is just Frankie mouthing off, nothing more, though it does make it hard for the faithful to have confidence in the Throne of Peter. I wish Benedict would step up to the plate and tell this dimwit to knock it the hell off.

118 recently, Argentina has asked for Spain to arrest and deport to Argentina 20 Franco era officials (who never were in Argentina and were covered by a Spanish amnesty)

Recently Argentina has ordered the arrest of Ex-Ford Motor company officials accused of providing names and addresses of union organizers to the Junta during the Dirty War.

And now, Argentina has ordered the arrest of Justin Beiber for a fight he was in while touring in Argentina. The Judge in the case had previously asked Interpol for help in locating the singer. (I mean, he has a fan website, why ask Interpol?)

Argentina is going down the toilet right now.
The government is turning everything up to 11 to try to either fix the problem by doing more of what caused it, or they are trying to distract and solve tiny things with grand fanfares to hide their failures on the important stuff.

I feel bad, they may hit hyperinflation before we do, and I worry they may wind up with a lot of really pissed of citizens who were promised Nunca Mas.

I just listened to the fourth Serge Storms book, Triggerfish Twist by Tim Dorsey. Among the lunatic proceeding is a scene in which Serge's sidekick Coleman deeply impresses a group of stoners by turning a supermarket rotisserie chicken into a bong.

The narrative leans a bit left at times but the authors seeks to be an equal opportunity offender, leaving none unscathed. The reader is quite good, giving very distinctive voices and mannerisms to the main characters. In a sort of gaiden twist, this book takes place in between two chapters of the first book.
