Yes. I remember once going ice skating up north in Metulla at the "Canada House" . There were some Ethiopian Soldiers there skating in their shorts. They were terrible but having a great time. Yeah, that doesn't make any sense, does it? We are at the mercy of a bunch of these schmucks who are in the city government where we live (City of Fairfax). They are 194 million in debt, but insisted on building a new park in the downtown area. It was supposed to be finished in December, but as of today, March 28, it is still unfinished. And they put no contingencies in the contract for failure to finish on time. So my property taxes went up 5% this year.

I'll admit to not studying Judaism much, and the Old Testament is a lot more cryptic to me than the New one.
I mentioned the other day that I thought it would be kinda neat to see one or two Biblical prophecies fulfilled before I croaked.

Speaking of which, also in the news this week: the guy who claimed John Hancock was telling people (erroneously) that Tom Schweich was Jewish, long after Schweich himself told Hancock that he was not, misremembered.
The disputed dates were either September or November 2014, and the guy now admits he had the conversation with Hancock back in September, which was BEFORE Schweich himself corrected Hancock on the point.
Does it matter? No, I don't think it does, because anyone trying to claim Schweich killed himself because Hancock was telling people he was Jewish are missing the point that anyone who kills himself because someone else is telling people he is Jewish, is crazy. Which is why he killed himself.

I realized that you can use the clean dishes directly form the dishwasher and stack the sink with dirty then pile them into the dishwasher after its empty and sink is full. Then repeat. He had been described as 'unflyable' while at flying school and had been downgraded on several occasions due to depression. He had received psychiatric treatment for an 18-month period, according to reports.
Lubitz seemed overwhelmed by stress after he started his pilot training course with Lufthansa, said the boss of fast food restaurant where he had previously worked.
Airline bosses stressed last night that Lubitz had not presented the company with a sick note for last Tuesday - and it had not known he had been signed off.

Obama and his ilk (almost all of the sorts of people who would work in such a govt.) are clueless when it comes to many things, incl. of course national security, but the Yemen/Iraq situation is not entirely an example of that. And the apparent contradiction is pretty mild by MidEast standards, where things ain't linear.
Backing anti-Iran elements (or more accurately, supporting those opposing Iran-backed elements) in Yemen, normal. Attacking ISIS in northern Iraq, also normal. Just happens that for their own reasons Iran also opposes ISIS. So over-lapping interests there is simply the way it is.
It's the presence of Iranian forces in northern Iraq, and the dependence of the Iraqi govt. on same, that is the direct result of idiotic US policy in abandoning the whole thing a few years back. (ultimately, it's also attributable to Bush's vastly premature move to end "occupation", return sovereignty, and take the risks of a very fragile/flawed new Iraqi state, instead of making the additional few years' effort to tilt the odds more in favor of success).
If our interests are served by backing 16 different sides at the same time, then that's the smart move. Of course the "smart move" has not been on the US decision menu since this ridiculous president was installed.
