2 Good Morning Morons. Today is Thursday, March 19, 2015

I'll start today with this instead of the normal this day stuff. I was enraged by this lying crap from NOAA and MSN that Bing dutifully put in its list of hot topics at the bottom of the page. World's hottest winter the headline claims. No word that NOAA has been caught red-handed manipulating the numbers to create that appearance. As a matter of fact, we have had three record setting COLD winters in a row.

This is what the median temp average for Dec through Feb looks like for the last three winters at my house where the median temps are not manipulated, gouged are otherwise fraudulently produced.

2012/2013 - 48.6
2013/2014 - 45.6
2014/2015 - 44.3

As you can see the median temps for the past three winters have steadily declined. But the warmies will tell you that that is "weather". But if you look at the headlines for the past three winters you see "record cold and snowfalls" all over. You also see headlines that the cherry trees in Washington are blooming late, so I guess that is weather too. I see the Bradford Pears in my area blooming three weeks late. In short, what I see is exactly what the old Farmer's Almanac predicted, an impending ice age. Tell this to the next idiot who spouts the AGW scam. But be sure you are wearing one of those white celluloid collars when you do. No shortcut, just go to Bing and look at the bottom of the page on the right. Now on to the news.

3 Muzzie terrorists in Tunisia attack a popular museum killing 19 people, mostly tourists from other countries. I hunted around because the Fox headline/shortcut goes to a web search instead of a story and the search of course leads to leftist crap. I did my own and got the story from the Japan Times. Sadly, they too have succumbed to the "militant Islamic" crap as well.

8 Police have arrested a suspect in the Mesa, AZ shooting that started in a motel and spread out into the street. He is a neo-Nazi skinhead with a rap sheet longer that the script for Gone With The Wind. He has been convicted of multiple felonies yet continues to obtain and use guns all the while after being caught and returned to the street. Gun control does not work, and crime control doesn't either when you allow scum like this out. And please tell people who comment, the Nazis were not "right wing". The Nazi Party was a socialist organization.

So if your data was hacked and your identity has been stolen by assholes who commit computer crimes you will get a dollar off coupon while the lawyers use wheelbarrows to cart their filthy lucre to the bank. Oh and the people who did the hacking? If they are ever caught they will be admonished to not do it again and be released.

10 2 killed in a restaurant in Sweden when gunmen walked in and began spraying people with automatic weapons. The police have described this as possible "gang-related" and not terrorism. I see, gangs in Sweden have access to illegal automatic weapons and further their aims by killing innocent bystanders in restaurants with "spray and pray". Automatic weapons are one of the most prohibited and controlled guns on earth yet terrorists and criminals still have access to them. And you can't blame easy access through gun dealers either.

11 And you thought we had this disease beat here in the US. Well maybe we did, but then Obama came along. Two dozen people have tested positive for TB at a Kansas germ factory otherwise known as a school. No word on who patient zero was and no word if this area was one of the dumping grounds for illegals that Obama let in and bussed all over with zero health screening. Herd immunity is gone people, better start getting vaccinated for TB now.

17 Obama fully intends to reestablish diplomatic relations with Cuba and open an embassy there. The 64K question is whether or not this constitutes a treaty which would mean the Senate must ratify it by 2/3 majority. Looking at another communist country Jimmy the Peanut established diplomatic relations with China and abrogated a treaty with Taiwan without any approval by the Senate. Congress subsequently passed a law to look the other way. This is a very murky area. Be that as it may, the Senate still has to approve any ambassador appointed by Obama. But there I am sure the RINOs will be out in force to help him.

18 Obama is now looking to go to the UN and reverse decades of Israeli support in the Security Council and shit on Israel in a fit of petulance over Netanyahu winning the election. This is over the so-called two-state solution in creating a formal country called Palestine, which BTW has never existed contrary to liberal dogma and the "Joo haters" in the UN. Hopefully Great Britain will remain steadfast, but I am not counting on that either. They have their own problems with uncontrolled muzzie Joo haters.

Woodard conducted a poll in mid- to late February among 650 likely GOP South Carolina primary voters that found Walker in a statistical tie atop the burgeoning potential Republican presidential field. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush led the pack at 18 percent and Walker tied with South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham at 17 percent. The poll had a 5-point margin of error.

For those who talk about third parties, there are a number of established alternate parties already - including an official Conservative Party - to vote for.

The idea is to have a viable one to drain votes away from both D and R, and ideally to supplant the R. Considering that the R votes with D too many times and is content to move the country over the cliff, albeit at a meaninglessly slower speed, why not vote Conservative?

My point was merely to illustrate that there is a plethora of alternate parties out there, some more viable than others and some that are as sane/rational as "Rent Is Too Damn High."

Just like rallying around the first viable conservative candidate to defeat the GOP, let's also find the most viable 3rd Party we can and build it up to national viability and let's also move forward with Article V.

89 Obviously something got into Ace (shut up!) yesterday. We could possibly guess, but I'm not going to do that. Needless to say he was upset about the Walker/communications chick firing thing.

Funny thing about communications though, the point is to, you know, communicate stuff. So it kinda matters what you are communicating. If you can't or won't communicate the right stuff, your boss will have no use for you.

Ironically, Ace's other problem yesterday is that he was... how shall we say... overly wordy? Not only the long posts, but diving down into the comments to argue.

Which brings up the other problem with communication. Sometimes in order to communicate a point, you have to be brief, or else people will start to tune out. There comes a point where the inverse effect of the ratio of how many words you spill to how effectively you communicated your point will take hold.

Like this. How many of you read this all the way down the end? Be honest.

Congrats, you won the early morning strawman prize, Scoggdog. I'm a SoCon who thinks porn is an abomination. But as long as the government's not subsidizing it I really think that fighting it is left to the culture and not the government (with the exception of child porn, which is and should be illegal.) Locking down porn stars' bank accounts strikes me as ham fisted and stupid. If I am not being made to celebrate something, or pay for it with my tax dollars, than I prefer the battle to be cultural (with some exceptions for kiddie porn and some for common sense restrictions on abortion). It's more about moving hearts than making laws, and the laws that should be there should be just to dam up the worst of the problem.

100 I am right there with everybody else about being done with the Republican party. However, here's my dilemma - I live in a very blue precinct in a very blue district in a very blue county in the very blue state of Maryland. Somehow we managed to elect a Republican governor, but otherwise, pretty much the entire state is run by Dems. It's hard enough getting a Republican elected dog-catcher here, and I just don't think a third party would be able to make any inroads on the Dems. So, do I continue to support the local Republican party while giving up on Republicans nationally, or abandon the entire party?

111 So Vic starts today's news by talking about the proclamation (the weather website I use did it, too) of last year being the Hottest Year EVAH, and contrasting that with temps in his area.

Wherever this big helping of warmth hit, it wasn't here. Boston set a new record for snowfall this winter, and (IIRC) a record -- or near-record -- for longest string of colder-than-normal temps. It was snowier and colder here out in the boonies to Boston's NE.

Oh, also, it is 24 here right now, and the forecast is for Spring to come in with 1-3 inches of fresh snow. We haven't lost all the old snow yet, by a long shot.

But yeah, we gotta heed Al Bore's warning, take Choom Boy's orders and Go Green before it's too late.

That's a good question. The answer might be: maybe. Here's the thing though, how did a Republican get elected in a deep blue state? Did he do so by being a more charming socialist, with some sort of twist? Was it that his opponent was unnaturally weak? Or did he tap into some element of conservatism that managed to resonate with voters?

If it is the latter, then a third party that does MORE of that will likely yield greater results. Which is ultimately how you change states from blue to... whatever color the new party will be. We can't call it white, that's for sure.

It's been many years, maybe decades, since the Libertarians got on the ballot here in Oklahoma - they tightened up the rules to protect the two-party tyranny. The LP just can't get the signatures.

But then, we don't need a third party in Oklahoma. Our Republican elected officials aren't all totally un-squishy, but they're hard as granite compared to most of the nation, apparently. Our local rep, Jim Bridenstein, may not be a Tom Cotton, but he votes right. I know our Senators could be better, but so far Lankford hasn't proved as RINO as I feared he would be. Let's be sure and undermine the new Conservatives, and undermine those many blacks I see trying to get their fellows off the Democrat plantation, by deserting the Republicans!

Posted by: biancaneve at March 19, 2015 07:33 AM (Zl68m)

One option would be to move to Johnston County NC, support the local tea party and kick a professional leech/bully (Etheridge) out of Congress. Then you could ride the Ellmers wave in, with partying and celebration.
Then a couple of years later you could watch her sellout to a local landscaper who wants cheap labor. Or sellout on abortion because, woman - rape - 20 weeks something - then when she was criticized called her critics abhorrent.

But don't give up on the GOPe. You might be called a quitter.

I'm kind of thinking the same thing.

Mangrove, my calculus is this....the Democrats are fond of punishing their political enemies. So are the Republicans. The issue is that as a conservative, the Republicans see me as a political enemy and NOT anyone on the Left. So I might as well vote Left and not be anyone's political enemy. And while doing so, I'm taking steps to survive the crash of the fiscal house of cards.

186 Just moving to a more conservative state will not help much. Federal law trumps state law. This is why a big central government is so bad. This is why the federal government was limited on what they could do in the first place. The states gave up only a few rights to the feds and kept all their other rights. As time marched on the feds have taken about all control from the states. And the big right the states lost is the right to secede. That right has clout. Now I believe states do have that right but the feds, the media and sadly most citizens do not. When the Federal government ignores our Constitution and laws they have broken the contract with the people and the people have a right to break with the government.

I don't think they're ineffectual at all. They are acting in a way that suggests they really are at one with the Dems, although not as radical. They're acting on behalf of the big donor class and not the American people. Cave after cave tells me they want what the Dems want, just to a lesser degree. It also tells me we don't matter. They're turning the country left and don't give a rat's a## about the consequences. I will still vote for the individual candidate, if they are worthy of my vote. All the sheep should get it good and hard so the understand what the voted for and as time goes by the mask on the dems slips lower and lower exposing how ridiculous they are. I leave you with a quote from C.S. Lewis.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its
victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under
robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's
cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be
satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us
without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Thanks for the news Vic. Informative as always.

Three record-setting COLD winters in a row and the govt (NOAA, etc.) tries to tell us that this was the HOTTEST winter on record. I'm speechless - sort of. What can you say when the "authorities" position can be easily verified to be patently untrue, yet they blatantly continue to press their lie?

Those in charge seem to believe truth is more than just an inconvenient commodity. They perceive it as a dangerous enemy that must be conquered and eliminated, and those who still value truth are demonized and vigorously persecuted in the kangaroo courts of public opinion and the modern judiciary.

Makes me feel particularly pessimistic about the immediate future this morning.
