IIRC, The Democrat nominee steadily increased the Dem share of the Prez. vote from the '70's until 2008.
The 2012 election was the first since the '60's where the Dem share of the vote went down.

The new toilets coming out now work with reduced flow after being redesigned. My BIL and I changed out the toilets at MIL's house a few years ago and the new ones work great.

Well... the car is back in working order for the moment. We replaced the battery (and had some other maintenance done), and that seems to have fixed the issue- but based on its behavior yesterday morning, I'm not convinced that the problem was actually the battery. Or, at least, not only the battery.
I guess we'll see in the coming days/weeks.

Problem with the lo-flo toilets is... in older homes... the sewer pipes
are 6 or 8 inches. With the old toilets, the big plug of water moved the
solids through that pipe easy. The low flo plug of water is so small
with the old sewer pipe that the solids don't move... they deposit and
the little plug of water goes around . There is a good article
somewheres on San Fransisco and their sewer problem because they enduced
all their libtard residents to put in low flo toilets. heh

Not sure what you mean by metal roof, but metal roofiing is more expensive, typically, because it lasts longer and they are more durable. I think it also reflects the heat, so helps with utility bills.
We have been thinking about re-roofing with the metal roofing, but it's so darn expensive.

I was in a frantic search for coffee one morning and tried their espresso. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Part of that is just having a clean machine, but it was a nice cup.
Too bad, because a discussion on race is the last thing on earth I want to have while ordering a drink at a fast-food joint.

The last time I tried to get a mocha at starbucks it was five bucks and way too sweet. Aside from the occasional hot chocolate, all i ever get there is the passion tea. iii. When I was last in a Starbucks (ages ago, so it may have changed) you had to buy ATT wifi to use wifi. Which you don't at, say, Panera. Because Panera understands that wifi is an enticement for your business not another way to fleece you.
d. Even if I liked your burnt coffee I would avoid like a bucket of spiders being harangued by some gauge-eared bint of a grievance studies major on any subject other than "would you like cream in that".

I make my coffee at work most mornings, so it's rare that I get coffee at Starbucks. I get it fresh market or Whole foods more often when I grocery shop. Fresh market has a brand of beans called 'counter culture' that I'm pretty fond of. And oddly, Toms (the shoe people) has a coffee brand that's not terrible. Iprefer Central american beans over african.

I'm sorry for missing so much of the fun around here lately, but I've been trying to avoid the news as much as possible.
It's just not good for what's left of my mental health. Having a bunch of Bike Week gigs last week helped a lot, both monetarily and mental-health-wise. The world is going to hell and there's not one damned thing I can do to stop it, slow it down or wake other people up about it to stop it or slow it down. My resignation is nearly complete.
Voting hasn't done anything. I vote for the best candidate I can find, which is always a choice of the lesser of two weevils at this point. I no longer feel like I belong in my own country and I goddam sure don't have any representation anymore.

The attack on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi was a direct result of Al Qaeda hacking into Hillary's unsecured server and obtaining information regarding the lack of security that Ambassador Stevens told her about.
They knew every vulnerability about the Libyan embassy.
Makes you wonder what other vulnerabilities they know about because Hillary found the use of a secure network "inconvenient."
