Unions are going to court once again to try to kill WI's right to work law. They have already tries and lost now going back. They should be forced to pay ALL court costs, especially since the legal theory they are advancing has already been shot down by SCOTUS. I guess they found a union loving judge that allowed them to file in the first place.

A group of university professors has signed a letter showing their solidarity with students who tried to ban the American flag at the University of California, Irvine because they said Old Glory contributes to racism. So she is guilty of false swearing, a felony, so what. She has already lied to congress and been caught at it. An open letter to a foreign power that merely underscores and defines the law as it applies to treaties and how they are ratified is not a violation of any law. Clandestinely (or not so clandestinely) going in person or via a third party to a foreign government and directly negotiating with them when you have no authority to do so IS a blatant violation of the Logan Act, and is borderline seditious. Kucinich's "Ten reasons to vote against UOMF" seems pretty tight. Of course, I have not changed my opinion that we should kill them all, but I really believe that we should wait for awhile and let them bunch up in cities and build something other than mud huts, or caves, and then just nuke the shit out of them. We have a nice chance right now to let those Islamic fools kill each other, on a fairly major scale, and I don't see any reason to do anything other than send them ammo and rifles. We need to help the despicable barbarians thin out the tribes.

Meanwhile, better than you: Two men from the D.C. area are suing Rep. Paul Ryan and his chief of staff for $100,000, alleging negligent driving caused Ryans top aide to rear-end their car while he was driving his boss vehicle. The Justice Department stepped in on March 10, asking the court to dismiss the case. The argument states Seifert was transporting the congressmans vehicle when the accident occurred, and is thus shielded by sovereign immunity. America is producing so much oil from shale that the nation is running out of places to store it all. The total quantity of petroleum stuffed into huge steel tanks right now is at levels not seen for 80 years. It bears noting that the easiest and most obvious fix to the run-up in oil supplies that domestic markets cant use would be to promptly repeal the antiquated American law that makes it illegal for U.S. firms to sell their oil to other countries. http://tinyurl.com/kgja5zu *crickets* Posted by: The GOP Posted by: Laurie David's Cervix at March 12, 2015 07:45 AM (kdS6q) 89

11 Americans are dropping TV by the millions. Its all crap. TV has been a vast wasteland for decades. I quit a long long time ago.
If they're dropping TV by the millions, it's because they can't afford it anymore. Compared to the last 50 years, this is the golden age of TV. Never has there been so many excellent productions in entertainment, information, education and specialized interest. No one could hope to keep up with society without the help of television. The other 48, the inspectors are faulting them for what would be and should be local law enforcement matters. We don't to say out of one side of our mouths "oh no, big government!" I love playing golf, but anything over 4 hours kills it for me. A LOT of courses are designed for carts... with long green to tee distances that make walking prohibitive. I love walking and love not waiting on every tee box to hit. Haven't played in 3 years now. It got crazy popular here in the DFW several years ago and courses seemingly were always packed and slow.

This is where the cable industry is missing the boat. Cable could win the fight with satellite if they used servers at the neighborhood level. During commercials, a cue would inject a hyper-local commercial into that area. Advertisers could by a highly detailed coverage area for a reasonable price, bringing television ads to the 90% of business that are unserved now. Ala carte programming sounds good from a financial
standpoint, but imagine if the same option was available for the internet. Are there people who would opt for less than full information? Posted by: jwest at March 12, 2015 08:02 AM (9ZZd+) During the twilight of the studio system of Hollywood the block-busters were subsidizing the poor box office movies. It meant that as long as you had some headliners with a star cast you could profit even though a good chunk of what you put out was trash. And, as long as the studios had a chokehold on what the theatres showed AND as long as going to movies was an ingrained habit then you didn't have to worry about quality or value or anything like that. The only other choice was going to the art-house theatre that like as not was showing a dubbed Finnish movie or something put out by Mosfilm. Now, with cable, the income is from advertisements. The ad spots are not sold by the show or the time but the block on multiple channels that are sold to the viewers as bundled. This is how such dreadful stuff can be afforded to be produced and shown. It would be like the studio system, in that there is control over what is shown and as long as something draws views or Neilsen ratings in the bundle it all profits. It has gone from butts on seats to estimated views on screens, and the quality suffers since no-one in the production system cares that all the shows are good, just enough of them. Given any sort of alternative and it will collapse. I wonder how much of the Net Neutrality/Net-Utility and other regs are just to make sure that there are no alternatives like TV coming down the pike. Progressivism really is a mental illness. In re: the Ferguson riot (it's no longer a "protest" once someone gets shot)- the Cops either need permission to (and then to act on that permission) get medieval on these clowns, or they need to walk off the job. So all of this happened the week *after* Holder essentially, officially declared war on the Ferguson Police Dept., not that all of his comments and declarations that the DoJ was looking into it leading up to this did anything but stir things up, too. But it sure seems like the lengthy report declaring that everything the protesters alleged was true gave them permission to take action.

From Fenelon's Daily Bread link
http://odb.org/2011/11/05/peace-in-crisis/ "...The criminal was subdued, but Ted was shot in the crossfire. As he was driven by ambulance to the hospital, he felt deep waves of peace flowing over his soul from the Holy Spirit. Ted felt so tranquil that he was able to offer words of comfort to the law enforcement officer who was emotionally distraught over the crisis...." Those deep waves of peace happen to come after they'd administered some drugs to him? The car in which I was a passenger hit a horse back in Texas in Feb '78. I awoke to cold wind, covered in shattered windshield, stuck to the blood, fortunately most of it the horse's, but a considerable amount mine. I never felt any pain. Although groggy, I was clear about the circumstances. (The driver was fine BTW.) Once I was fully awake, I was able to ascertain that my insides were okay. I remember lying on the stretcher by the car, joking with the ambulance attendants as they cut off my shirt. In the ambulance, I tried to joke, "watch out, guys, there's horses on the road tonight!" (Although whether they could actually understand me with my dashboard-smashed mouth and delirium, I don't know). Shock is an amazing thing. Don't think me just cynical. The Holy Spirit is an amazing thing, too. After that wreck was definitely one of those times when all I could do was just be there, with my fate utterly outside my hands. Can't do anything else? Might as well trust! I guess the physical condition of shock could be a Holy Spirit helper. Posted by: mindful webworker - peace, man at March 12, 2015 09:28 AM (4Utw1) 340

The REAL story is that whitehouse.gov is sponsoring a petition that asks people if they support a Stalin-style Purge of Congress. That is NOT HYPERBOLE. That is NOT A JOKE.
Liberals will say these 47 Senators committed a crime. I'll admit, I'm no student of history, but I'M SURE that victims of Stalin's Purges were also guilty of some relatively insignificant crimes. In this case, these Senators are guilty of the "crime" of writing about senatorial procedures. For that supposed "crime", the solution of Liberal Democrats is the dissolution of the Legislative Branch, the branch that most closely reflects the will of the People. That's not hyperbole either. The Congress doesn't function without two Houses, and Liberal Democrats are proposing throwing 50% of one House into jail. I would like to ask everyone from Obama, on down, if they support Stalin-type political purges. If not, then why they allow such a petition to remain on whitehouse.gov. Why haven't the repudiated calls for a political purge? I would ask them EVERY UNCOMFORTABLE question I could think of. I know we're all a bit jaded when it comes to politics, but I can't think of anything more irresponsible than this. VISUALIZE what would happen if Liberal Democrats get their way. Imagine seeing FOUR DOZEN Senators, hands cuffed behind their backs, being put into police cars and hauled off to jail. It doesn't get any more serious than that. That's the kind of thing that leads to coup d'etats and Civil Wars. And, Liberals are DEMANDING THAT. I remember Democrats INSISTING that Republicans should answer for those "radical teaparty-types". Now, Democrats need to answer for this. Now, and during election season. (Republicans don't get off the hook either. I want to know where they were when the desire for political purges was gaining traction.) Posted by: qzy at March 12, 2015 09:38 AM (Y4HrC) 348
