5 We are still in the discovery phase. All Clinton scandals have a pace, like Chinese water torture. They have to approach excruciating before the 60 Minutes moment can occur. After that, we go into "old news" phase.

Just a thought:

So they failed to ban .556 ammo one way. I wonder if the government will use Dodd-Frank to declare ammo manufacturers "too big to fail" and "vital to national defense" and than nationalize them.

Hillary is screwed because until the drives out of her mail server are physically examined anything she say's about them is a lie.

It's like Al Capone being brought down by tax evasion. They did an incredible job of covering up crimes that would bring any person down, or winning in the court of public opinion, but their overall disdain for the law eventually lead them to think themselves so bulletproof that they didn't try to cover up something far less that could still nail them to the wall.

No, they didn't. If anything, maybe it's a breach of protocol but we wouldn't have that if we didn't have a president and party that has so turned the nation upside down that at least some in the opposition stand up publicly.

And this is not a trivial matter. We are talking about trying to put some sort of a halt to what could effectively light the fuse to a nuclear war.

Bravo to Tom Cotton and the 47.

Posted by: J.J. Sefton at March 11, 2015 07:14 AM (CMkNk)

27 my spidey senses say the ammo kernuffle was a ruse. A little land mine. It was too cute by half. The ATF deletes the necessary paragraph from their rules... SHTF, and just when Obama needs a distraction it suddenly totes to everyone to troll the right and suck the air out of the room.

And then, knowing it was a stunt all along... they relent. Just sayin'... they'd like to ban, I'm sure, but too, I really think most of what this administration is doing it throwing shit against the wall whether it will fly or not, they're happy with the daily outrages.

Posted by: MTF at March 11, 2015 07:19 AM (GFYLz)

42 Until Hillary Clinton came along, I can't think of any Secretary of States that had major political/ethical scandal in the last 30 or 40 years. (Quick search and review of SOS seems to back me up but I cold be wrong) Of course, there were policy differences and and partisan fights but it seems the office has been held by straight shooters that stayed out of trouble. Along comes Hillary Clinton and there is Benghazi and now the emails. (I'm also convinced she was the driving force behind Fast and Furious, not Holder) Point is, Clintons just can't help themselves and stay out of trouble. Every damned thing they touch becomes infected. They set up a "charity" and it is some huge Clinton-crony-political-favor machine. I'm convinced if the two of them got involved with a children's hospital within a year there would be reports of a child prostitution ring being run from it.

43 The new dirt on Shrillery, like the old dirt on her, is Old News until somebody does something about it.

Between the Clin-Tones and Choom Boy, we have apparently become so comfortable with lies, theft, treason and general stupidity from our government that we shake our heads sadly and walk on by.

Enough of the complaints about that smug, entitled, law-breaking scrunt. When someone indicts her, the Mocha Messiah, Holder, and the rest of their lawless, greedy, America-hating breed, we can talk. Hell, if someone even calls for prosecution -- hear me, Corpulent Captain? -- we might be taking baby steps toward ending the national decline. And getting back our pride in what was once the greatest country on the planet.

88 I have a bad feeling about all of this Hillary bashing. Just a nagging feeling that the MSM is trying to get way out in front of her self-proclaimed "I am running" announcement by shoving everything bad they possibly can find before she announces she is running.

That way it lets a lot of the pressure off of her. They can legitimately say; see we vetted her this time. Old news, we already covered that, etc. blah, etc.

Like I said, just a nagging feeling and tons of people are saying she is toast and the left wants Warren instead of Hillary now.

I think the only thing that the Senators accomplished is giving Obama cover. Because if the optics on the "treaty" go south the administration can always blame the GOP for queering the deal by issuing this letter.

...If you dig deep enough behind the radical Islamist groups and behind those moving Europe, you will find Russia. In the end, Russia wants the destruction of Israel and the US. They are in the way and a nuisance to their global agenda. Vladimir Putin has called Andropov an "outstanding political figure." Along with his admiration of Andropov, Putin is reviving the cult of personality for Communist dictator Joseph Stalin, the restoration of the Soviet Union's national anthem as the anthem for the Russian Federation, military invasions of Georgia and Ukraine and the erecting of statues to former Soviet Communist leaders such as Yuri Andropov. He is orchestrating intense nationalism within Russia, using the Russian Orthodox Church as an instrument to do so and to justify his aggression in Europe. Radical Islam is another tool being used to clear the way for Russia across the planet. One that is deadly and effective....

Podesta stated that the use of external email networks was prohibited because records would not be saved as required. The 1997 White House Manual and a 2000 memo issued by Mark Lindsay, then Assistant to the President for Management and Administration echoed this policy, requiring staff to use only the White House email system for official communications.

Nature isn't so easily manipulated. Genotype is fixed, and no matter what mutilations one is willing to tolerate, those pesky genes keep screaming, "You're a man!"

No way around it. Except for some serious psychotherapy and medication. Because, let's be honest here....transgender people are fcuking nuts. They have high rates of suicide and underlying mental illness. They don't need surgery and hormones....they need psychiatric help.

194 Listening to some guy on talk radio this morning who is "bothered" by the Group of 47 for "embarrassing" Obama. He's claiming that Corker (RiNO-TN) and Menendez (D-Indicted) were "close" to passing some sort of "bipartisan" resolution that would have made manditory the review of any deal brokered by Liveshot and King Putt but now all the Dems are "angry" and it looks like the "bipartisan" nature of that bill is about to fall apart.

So I bring this up to illustrate a couple of points
1) Nobody seems concerned that Democrat Senators are delicate special snowflakes and that it's OK for them to not support legislation they would otherwise be inclined to support because they perceive they have been slighted in some way
2) Nobody ever seems to care about the multiple slaps in the face (and worse) received by the GOPe and conservatives from King Putt and his minions over the last 7-8 years and continuing today
3) I don't seem to recall such wailing and gnashing of teeth from the media over Nancy Pelosi, the newly elected House Speaker, making a diplomatic trip to Syria over the expressed objections of the Bush White House in 2007
4) That the entire premise of the RiNO-Indicted "bipartisan" bill is BS - that King Putt was never, ever going to submit this to the Senate as it's not a "treaty" in their mind and therefore the crux of Cotton's open letter is precisely correct

Do I have that all about right?

Lincoln had children. The only argument one could make (not that I agree with it) would be that Lincoln was bisexual.

Lots of gay men have children.

But the Lincoln-was-gay thing arises from the fact that he shared a hotel bed with a man while travelling. There was nothing unusual about that at the time, and nothing presumed sexual.

In the opening of Moby Dick Ishmael shares a bed with Quequeeg and isn't freaked out by the fact that there's a man in his bed, but by the fact that he's a savage.

Maybe John Wilkes Booth had his own issues? Maybe when people said he was from Maryland he took it the wrong way, interpreting it as The Land of Marys and thought people were impugning his sexual orientation, so he took it out on Lincoln because he thought the president's hat was a phallic symbol that was personally taunting Booth?

I know lots of Gay people. I also know a number of people who've suffered from depression and other mental disorders. And there are a fair number of people who are into S and M and whatnot.

But it does not and should not constitute a political movement or class of person.

Tolerating something does not necessarily mean accepting it as normal or something to be admired or promoted. Doesn't mean I won't be friendly with someone; it just means I don't have to accept what they are as normal.

304 "No gymtimidation."

For most of my life, I had never felt gymtimidation. Heck, I didn't know until recently that gymtimidation existed. In fact, when I first heard of gymtimidation, I thought that the word was totally made up and even suspected that the word "gymtimidation" itself didn't exist.

But I needed to be sure. I went to the usual Internet go-to's like WIkipedia. Nothing. Still concerned, I checked out WebMD and similar sites but couldn't find anything. Could this be a newly discovered condition, one in which I'd read the story of my life in the DSM-6? I'm scared. I'm really, really anxious about this. I also feel acutely gymtimidated.

Does anybody have any advice that can help me out in the short term? Perhaps, looking forward, I can join with other people who have suffered with me (retroactively, of course) to collectively seek justice for those of us who have endured bigotry at the hands of the gymtimiphobes.
