Point of order - there hasn't been a limit since October 2013, just a series of "holidays" from a limit. What's going to happen nextSunday, unless MaxiCave McConnell and Jean Bo(eh)ner intervene on behalf of their DemocRAT masters and mistresses, is that "holiday" will end and the debt limit will be set to whatever the debt subject to the limit will be on Friday.

I like several of them, but I don't trust them because - it's politics. But I do respect some more than others. E.g., I think Jindal is quite solid, but I am very open to the possibility of his doing something I really don't like.

Gender used to be a synonym for sex; also something to do with grammar.

I model clinical data for a living, and in the data we receive, trust me, there are only two categories - male or female. No 2-spirit entries. And we still use gender/sex interchangeably.

Working in the pharma industry, I often think that I can't wait till some dude who feels he's really a Cinderella inside insists on using the recommendation for females for drugs which behave differently in M/F.

The first I read about McCarthy's attendance was
Friday night at around 6:30 PM on CNN's website and Charles' article
was published early Saturday morning at 4:00 AM. So, by the time his
article was published, a GOP leader had already announced he was
attending so his article was incorrect. I tweeted with Charles about this.

A minor point but
still... I also asked him if he verified CNN's facts that seemed to imply that McCarthy only
decided to go at the last minute (implying he had to be dragged, kicking
and screaming) and he indicated that he did not. He said his larger point was Boehner McConnell blew this. I agree they are cowards and blow every chance to appear like leaders.

Read a story somewhere over the weekend where a lady had he gym membership revoked from Planet Fitness because they allowed a man to use the women's locker room because he self identified as female.

A guy who tries to change clothes in the same room as my wife will have bigger problems than gender issues.

The only "fair" solution will be to prohibit gender based bathrooms and go to unisex so everybody is treated the same. He often writes, pointing out the bad in both sides (not that the right doesn't deserve it) but often he has to go back 20-30 years for examples of conservatives' sins. That's where the air of condescension comes in, the feeling that only libertarians are above it all, have all the right answers.

When he's good, he's great but he does freak out at times and posts on liberal non-stories involving cops, community over-reactions, etc. that turn out to be complete bull. Overall, I think he's really good but I think he'll go full Libertarian eventually. Ok, I really have to go now.

I've been in a small gym in Amsterdam that only had one locker room. I belonged to a large gym in Frankfurt that had men's, women's, and mixed. The sauna, steam etc. are all co-ed.

Some places have women's only or men's only hours, so the comingling isn't forced on everyone, but in general people are just cool with seeing both sexes naked.

Pale Moon was recommended by a couple of 'rons and 'ettes. I tried it.

Still using it for now. It can work with many (most) Firefox extensions.

There is an unofficial port of Pale Moon to Linux. It's been all right for me save for a slight tendency to memory leakage. Have to restart the browser every couple of days to slim down its memory footprint.

Pale Moon can masquerade as Firefox in terms of how it identifies itself to servers, for compatibility. Or you can proudly fly your Pale Moon flag to show that you've dumped FF and the Gaystapo types at the Mozilla Foundation.

(Although I'm on FF right now on an old standby Windows machine, since my regular Linux box is temporarily out of reach.)
