14 My guess is the knives in Hillary's back are mostly from former Clinton supporters who defected to Obama in 2008. They know Obama will be no help at all to them in 2017 and they know Hillary has a nice long list of people titled "Assholes to Pay Back from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue" The former Clintonistas need her finished while there is still time to get behind someone else.

If the Republicans were behind this, they would likely have waited until August 2016 and the media would be burying this rather than letting have some air. The Russians and the Chinese probably want her in the Whitehouse because they have all the e-mails already and she would continue wrecking the country's financial and military standing.

Never underestimate the ability of the Democrats to pick -- and support, and shove into office -- the absolute worst candidate possible.

16 Just two different sides of the same coin.

This is their world now. The hipster douchebags and the media types who aren't even pretending anymore.

If you AREN'T wearing skinny jeans, have a beard, or are openly contemptuous of the laws and social order upon which this country was founded, YOU are the outsider. You are the suspect. You are... obsolete.

They're not talking about how it displays corruption, bad judgement, and dishonesty.

Here's a little life hack you 'rons and 'ettes might benefit from.

You know those scissor jacks that most cars come with? They have that articulated crank thingy that invariably leads to scraped bloody knuckles? Takes forever to get the car high enough to remove the tire?

Toss the crank thingy, and use a cordless impact wrench, and suitably sized socket instead. (Those universal sockets, with all the pins inside, work rather well).

Even at home, when rotating, or swapping winter/summer tires, it works better than my hydraulic floor jack.

65 @54 You da man, Bud. Scissors jacks are useful for adjusting shims under house-moving beams, spreading collapsed tunnel caissons IFGWIM, and that's about it. The best thing you can do for someone who may have to jack up their car is to take that *%$ jack and handle away and give them a real one. Save a life.

HOWEVER, a bottle jack should always have a nice big solid slab o'somethin to sit on so it can't wobble. Since fake NASCAR jacks have gotten cheap (four wheel two-plates with aluminum frame, so they don't weigh a ton while lifting two), I've gone with those. They usually have a larger top pad too, which is safer.

You probably ought to have to pass a test on jacking and unditching to get a driver's license. A guy died in our town this weekend with his own car on him. Running, in parking lot. No one knows why he had a hammer in his hand.

66 "And we wonder why we get such crappy presidential candidates who run crappy campaigns."

Exactly. The GOP consultant class is part of the leftist monoculture - their peer group, their values and sensibilities inform their policies and their candidate selection.

We're in a "clash of civilizations" here at home as well as abroad - same as it ever was from Greece vs. Persia on down, flyover America represents a Western tradition of individualism, self-reliance and decentralized politics while DC/NYC/LA America represents the Eastern top-down despotism of an annointed ruling class.

78 Just got back on the thread, so it may have been said already.

Go into any Apple Store, look at the male staff.

About 70% sporting the lumberjack look.
Now to be fair, we spend a lot of time at the Christiana Mall store in Delaware.

And Mrs VIA has the type of personality that engages people in discussion.

Almost every Apple employee we meet is rocking the lumberjack look, but in personal conversation relate some very conservative viewpoints about life, government, and the deciding line between right and wrong.

Somewhat startling to this old guy who assumes that every extended earlobe is attached to an empty head full of mush.
I may need to rethink some of my own preconceptions.

For the most part I don't drink coffee away from home any longer. I really like my Nespresso. It's about a buck for a cup of coffee, but it's worth it.

I can't fit a bottle jack under either of my cars.....so at home it's the floor jack, or the scissor jack, and on the road, the scissor jack. The impact wrench makes using the scissor jack much easier, and quicker.

You do realize that some dufous hipster will place the impact driver under the axel and turn it on expecting the car to raise.

89 Interesting info about what Judicial Watch is now interested in seeing in response to the Hillary email scandal: all communications between Hillary, Huma, and Morsi's wife.

Forgot this part - which should have raised red flags before now:

"[Huma Abedin] served as Clinton's deputy chief of staff at the same time she worked as
a consultant to the Clinton Foundation and a New York advisory firm
tied to the Clintons, one that did business before the government...

Abedin made $135,000 a year as Clinton's deputy, a period in which she
is reported to have raked in as much as $355,000 from consulting
contracts. Having a pipeline into the Clinton inner circle is invaluable
to some."

And then there are Huma's MB ties...

91 I watch a NG doc on cocaine smuggling. They were bring in the drugs on those fast-go boats from columbia to Dominican Republic. The smugglers got spotted and threw most of the drugs overboard. The boat crashed into coastal village taking out several houses. The smugglers ran, the villagers looted the cocaine, and the DEA just bean firing on the the smugglers which seemed strange.

Losing the boat is the cost of doing business. I looked up how much they cost and they go from 50k - 800k. This oe was scaled down of course but it certainly was the fastest model they could get.

Looked like fun if you can get pass all the murders and prison sentences.

I understand what you mean about the Office. The American version would touch on some of the same stuff, then back off. Carrell would reach a point where you thought he was a complete jerk, then do something sweet and/or funny, and the tension was relieved.

Gervais though, he would act like an ass, then keep going, and going, and going. Usually that stuff makes me very uncomfortable too, but for some reason I was never bothered by it. In some ways though, the American version was a much more enjoyable show... for a few years at least, before it became unwatchable for a different reason.

110 I remember hate on Dems at the 2008 DNC Convention. The Dem Clinton delegates had their hate on for Teh One. Wanted a delegate floor vote.

Then later on we hear via some female Dem doing some sort of documentary just how thuggish O people were during their primary. Sort of along the lines of Hucksters uniting with McLame to shut out Romney's chances in WV. Involved mostly voter fraud in Tx primary I thought. May have included CO and AZ. Was it Pelosi's daughter who did this little film?

Because of all the above there were Dems out supporting Palin ticket purely based on O thrashing Hill and denying womenz on ticket. I think they were pissed over not selecting Hill as Veep too.

And then there is hate on O not paying Hill's bills from 2008.

For a multitude of reasons there was hate in 2008 and I think it still burns white hot today.

16 bucks at evil walmart. 4-5 ton rated ones are only 29.

Do yourself a favor - with that jack keep about 6 to 10 short lengths of 2x4 for blocks, for when you really have to change a tire on uneven ground.
