Obama White House Admits to Knowing About Secret Emails Since Last August; Hillary Asked Them to Keep It Secret

Sources familiar with the discussions say key people in the Obama administration and on Clinton's staff were aware that the revelation could be explosive for the all-but-announced candidate for president. But those involved deferred to Clinton’s aides, and they decided not to respond. In the end, Clinton’s staff waited six months -- until after the New York Times published a story on Tuesday about the email account and the possibility that it hampered public access to official records -- to begin their response. Clinton's slow-off-the-block defense has left many political strategists and observers confused because even a presidential campaign in its early stages should have been prepared to get out ahead of bad news.

Because the Clintons were able to successfully make all of the previous stuff look fairly minor, or cast doubt on the accuracy of the claims. They can't do that in this case. It's a clear, unrefutable instance of breaking the law. It makes it look like she has something to hide. And the national security implications due to hacking are very ugly.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too.
IT depts usually set up mail accts and access prior to a new exec coming into the office. I have a sneaking suspicion that the private email set up was pre-negotiated with Oblamo's inner circle. Hills might have felt, justifiably, that Oblamo would play around with her State Dept email if they had access to it.
That's the only thing that makes sense. It's still just so amateurish and half-assed.

Someone told me once that if you simply didn't pay your taxes at all, you were less likely to get caught by the IRS than if you paid suspiciously low amounts every year. The reasoning is somewhat convoluted, but it basically amounts to -
If you don't pay at all, then there's no paper trail. They have to specifically look you up to figure out that you're not paying. If you underpay, then a random audit of your documentation could cause someone to note that you're paying a suspiciously small amount of money.
Hillary might have had a similar line of reasoning. It's just a theory, though.
(keep in mind that the person who explained the IRS reasoning to me did so over 20 years ago; computers weren't anywhere near as advanced back then, and that same logic might be very, very foolish these days)

Because (in theory) any detail that crosses the threshold in to her .gov account is never really deletable. It will always be on some SAN somewhere in the bowels of govt, and always be a potential liability. Kind of like emails you have deleted from gmail.

As far as NoScript, you can whitelist entire domains. Of course, many sites use scripts from other domains, but if you're wanting that functionality on all the time you can 'allow all on this page' and it will whitelist them all.
I allow a few like Youtube, but generally keep most of them off just to speed loading and avoid a lot of tracking stuff.

I found a WaPo article on it. Rep. Young (R-AL) was attending a meeting where he was pushing for removing gray wolves from the endangered species list. Apparently he was the only congressman present who actually has wolves living in his district, and the comment was meant as hyperbole. He didn't think the other congresscritters present at the meeting respect the impact that wolves have on the local ecology.

Speaking of drugs, by the way, I have a new felony drug case. A guy is driving down the street and his foot is a little heavy so a cop pulls him over. It quickly becomes apparent that he drunk so the cop arrests him for DUI. He says please, please let me smoke a cigarette before you take me to jail. The cop asks where his smokes are and he says there in the console. The cop reached into grab the cigarettes and right under them is a clear plastic baggie of magic white powder. If he hadn't asked for a smoke, the cop would never have known.

Watched the James Brown biopic "Get on Up" (2014) night before last. Did you know James Brown was a Republican? I am a fan, and I enjoyed it. It was heart-wrenching to see the Little Richard-James Brown tete a tete scene, and you won't learn Brown was a Republican from the movie, but his beloved Heorgialina is almost a full character in the film, even if the most compelling scenes are set in the Jim Crow era. Five Stars.

Just finished watching "The Arroyo" (2014). I'll bet some of you morons crowd-sourced it, too. It is well worth your while, and easily available as instant video on Amazon. He may have done that, too, although I think he would have tried to deleete everythinbg before January 20, 2001, but what he was finally caught at involved somethinbg else.
Sandy Berger and Bill Clinton had concocted a story that they had been responsible for the the Millenium bomber being caught at the Canadian border byissuingan alert. What he was stealing was the copy of the Millenium after action report that was going to go to the 9/11/ commission. That would have contradicted this fairy tale.

Of course, without knowing a lot of facts you would not know this is the smoking gun.
This was a leak to Fred Barnes to explain away a secret unscheduled meeting between Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the United States Prince Bandar bin Sultan and President Clinton and Sandy Burglar (Berger) that it looks like could have taken place on July 20, 1993 meeting for which I the FOIA did not work to confirm or rebut (even an indirect request through the State Department which got answered early in the Bush Administration) and which explanation is probably false.
This leak was right at the time of known Foster case leaks, and Prince Bandar lived right across the street from Fort Marcy Park, and many secret meetings were geld at his residence. I do not beleive the many locked briefcases there contained secret files - they most likely contained money.
