Holder's own department statistics show that African Americans, on average, violate speeding and other traffic laws at much greater rates than whites. The Justice Department's research arm, the National Institute of Justice, explains that differences in traffic stops can simply be attributed to "differences in offending." Duh. For another example, "Seat-belt usage is chronically lower among blacks," the NIJ says in a 2013 study. "If a law enforcement agency aggressively enforces violations, police will stop more black drivers." If Holder is going to dismantle the Ferguson PD, then he may as well dismantle the other 1,800 PDs as they will have similar numbers. Health Care researchers discovered that instead of it actually being the muscular structure of the gluteus maximus or any buttock fat (or silicone implants) discerned atop or inside the butt that was a main factor of attractiveness to males - it was actually the curvature of the spine that attracts the male species.Germs 15 ways your house makes you sick. W/R/T improvised weapons:
I spent time in Nigeria. One of the tech schools there was found to be using the machine shop to produce AK-47's from basic stock, sheet metal, and tool and die machinery. By the students, for extra cash, on the side. Nobody was particularly surprised. In fact, most Nigerians I met thought them to be a very enterprising group of young men. Here's the thing, cities like Ferguson absolutely should not have their own police departments, because they really are not much more than roadside bandits, collecting revenue for a city that does little or nothing OTHER than collect revenue.
St. Louis County is a mess of jumbled municipalities. It has nothing to do with race, however, as you can go up and down the 270/255 route and find all sorts of nonsense just like in Ferguson, and some of the worst practically never see a black person all week long. Now, wouldn't it make sense that the police would have more contact with the part of the population that comprises two-thirds of the population? And tends to be much younger? Posted by: JoeF. at March 06, 2015 10:29 PM (8HGb7) 38

So there I was, last Saturday, about five in the afternoon, pulling into
my driveway after an unscheduled day at work putting the finishing touches on another Vac System. Inside the house....., Wife, kids, pets, home, weekend, (only partially interrupted)! Couple hours later, call from the boss. I'm leaving first thing early the next morning for a lovely week in Ohio. I took one of the new guys with me, so we'd have a full crew, (I played driver). Barely there for 24 hours and New Guy was busted for trying to shoplift a wireless router from Walmart. After about an hour of fruitless negotiations with the security guy, (who hid his face from me the entire time), to settle the issue without the police.....up to offering to just buy the damn router, the cops arrive, and New Guy is marched out to the police car in cuffs. Boss not happy at hearing that news, New Guy fired immediately. Around midnight, we picked up Ex New Guy at the 'detention facility', and drove him to a motel his friends/family paid for. I made sure he had a few bucks for food, and we left him there. The weirdest part of that day was the Walmart security guy refusing to face me while we talked.....it was just.....weird. Yeah, I understand why, still really odd though. Oh.....if I haven't mentioned it yet, a week without internet. It sucked. (Company apartment, which apparently doesn't rate internet connectivity. It was kind of fun explaining to the boss today that I didn't finish the technical drawings and schematics because I had no internet). Lastly.....home again! Captain Moon, ignite that chicken casserole! Hoowah! Posted by: Sticky Wicket at March 06, 2015 10:36 PM (0IhFx) 65

Has anyone else noticed very recently that "rights or understanding" for transgendered is the new SJW squirrel? Nightline was doing a piece on the poor souls born with 3 chromosomes and docs arbitrarily deciding their gender. then I saw a FB poster on how they only want to use the bathroom of the gender they identify with to PEE. I didn't take time to comment that if they are too prissy to go in and use a stall in the loo that matches their biological plumbing they should just stay home curled in a fetal position.
But it seems gay marriage is pretty much a done deal so now we have to turn some social norms inside out for the 1 in a million born with crazy chromosomes or the 1 in 100K with mental issues with their gender. Posted by: PaleRider at March 06, 2015 10:38 PM (dkExz) New? That's been the new SJW hotness for a while now. They legally won year and years ago when "gender" was listed separately from "(biological) sex". Within a decade it will be illegal to refer to someone other than their "chosen" pronouns. "Gender is a social construct" isn't just a silly thing SJWs are saying... it is actually the literal law quite often. The thing is, now that we've divorced "gender" from any biological grounding, anything can be a gender, and I literally mean anything. http://politicalhat.com/tag/gender/ Now they are even saying the biological sex is a "social construct." Yes, there are rare cases where a person is born with X0 chromosomes, or XXY, &c. And yes there very rare cases where the hormonal environment in the womb produces someone with a superficial sex that is contra their chromosomes. That such medical abnormalities exist are shown a proof that sex isn't real. How doe they do this? They take a manichean world view where either biology determines both biological sex and gender, or else it is all a social construct. All they have to do is prove that their strawman isn't 100% perfect, and then declare that they're point of view must be the absolute truth because it stand in total opposition of a point of view that isn't 100% perfect. The left consider people to be tabula rasa to be molded by the collective. This is a tenet of their faith. The real question is this: What comes after the trannies? Today I got my new Foreman grill with ceramic grill plates. I grilled chicken for din-din, chicken for tomorrow's din-din, and a steak for tonight that I just ate. The steak, which I vacuum sealed after I cooked it, was delicious, like it just came off the grill. Two minutes in the microwave while still in the vacuum bag. Cleanup with the ceramic plates was easy. But this grill with the ceramic plates takes a lot longer to heat up than the teflon grill plates and doesn't really get hot hot. Incidentally, marinating with the vacuum sealer is amazing. It literally takes minutes. You like teriyaki? You can make teriyaki steaks. Posted by: Soothsayer at March 06, 2015 11:13 PM (Gx7Uw) 208

Other people are paying hundreds of dollars per month for their own health insurance AND paying taxes to cover your medicaid. Including people, like relatives of mine who have diabetes. Since Obamacare went into effect, the health insurance premiums that I pay have sky-rocketed. They went up over $130 per month this year alone. The thing about sexual deviancy, it probably comes as no surprise that behind these things there are some messed up childhoods and other related bad happenings. So on the one hand, there's this effort to create an image of normalcy, and on the other hand, you have a bunch of people for whom their sexual deviancy is NOT the problem, but a symptom of the problem. And we're not allowed to talk about that. So we hold parades, and pretend it's all so normal. Eh, I try to practice tolerance, in the sense that, your lifestyle has no bearing on me and my own. So I have no need to explore with you the nature of your abnormalcy. You aren't going to get under my skin, and I'm going to see to it you stay out of my face. Anyway, about a decade ago, I suddenly developed a really nasty snap hook off the tee. I diagnosed the problem rationally, and determined that the correct course of action was to go up to the group in front of us and offer to trade my driver for a left-handed five iron. After a few laughs and no takers, the only option left was to wrap it around a tree and bury the component elements in a shallow grave. And yes, I know, it's a poor carpenter than blames his tools. The state has had many republican governors and legislatures and all (dems included) have contributed to the financial problems. But the real reason Illinois is in financial difficulty is because the Constitution of 1970 requires a flat tax. That tax is very low and does not come even close to paying the bills. Then to top it off the legislature (Dems and Repugs) have repeatedly given tax breaks to large corporations that also diminishes revenue. They are all too afraid to do the unpopular thing and advocate for an amendment to the constitution to allow a graduated income tax and to refuse the big business extortion. 341 One of the articles I read about that race had a commenter who stated that the reason Illinois has problems with revenue is because they passed a law which limited taxes. If only they could raise taxes then everything would be fine.
-------------------------------------- Back when Democrats controlled both houses of the legislature and the governors office, they passed a law in 2011 raising the state income tax "temporarily". The increased revenue was supposed to go exclusively to paying down Illinois' large backlog of past due bills, pensions and pension bonds, etc. the income tax rate on individuals went from 3% to 5% The dems voted for it because it was "temporary" and would sunset in 2014. Of course they planned to fix that and make it permanent, but 2014 ended and so did most of the income tax increase, although it reset to 3.75% not 3%. So electing Republican Bruce Rauner as governor has had at least one positive result so far. Dems still control both houses of the legislature so they could try and pass another tax increase, but this time it might get vetoed. Posted by: Boots at March 07, 2015 12:33 AM (l9mF2) 404

If he goes with the Clintons in 2016 instead of the Obama wing candidate, then the Obama wing of the Dem party will lose out on power for the next 4-8 years and all the sweet sweet money that comes with it. Gore getting the nomination in 2000 allowed the Clinton folks to stay in power in the Dem party and set the Clintons up with a large inflow of cash. So, even though Kerry won the nomination in 2004, the money still flowed to the Clintons because he wasn't able to take over the party. Once Obama won, his wing took power in the party, and they have been angling to set him up like the Clintons, but only if his candidate wins the nomination in 2016. Actually, the Obama wing's candidate getting the nomination then losing the General Election in 2016 would be the best for the Obamas so that they can keep the power in the party to 2020 and in likelihood, 2024. Lots of moving parts in Chicago's mayoral election.
Barky was here a couple weeks ago and signed the paperwork for the Pullman neighborhood to become a National Historic something or other. Supposed to help shore up the black vote. The carrot of the Obama Presidential Library is being dangled - oh better elect Rham and give us 20 acres of parkland or the library will go to NYC and Columbia. Also supposed to help shore up the black vote. But Rham has picked fights with Chicago's cops for 4 years now (hmm like a certain NYC mayor) and the cops are a big voting block - city requires them to live in the city limits so they all vote. And Chicago is a sanctuary city, so it's chockfull of illegals - a problem Rham himself created. Posted by: Boots at March 07, 2015 12:46 AM (l9mF2) 425

They are here, not too many, but evident nonetheless. The climate would make one suppose there would be thousands more. Temps are mild, rainfall light, lotsa restaurants so dumpster diving yields are good, and beautiful parks and beaches for sleeping. Gangs and crime at almost zero for safety. So why is S.B. not overrun with homeless? The cops must have a limit, and control it. Sort of how they tag your car tire with a paint dot in the free-parking zones that have a 75-minute limit. There is nothing on at 2 am. Fox has reruns & all paid cable networks have same movies on over & over. Do you have Showtime? They've taken over from HBO for original series with Homeland Masters of Sex Ray Donovan Dexter( over & I watched almost all when home sick & only watched last season as it aired) The Affair Shameless( bawdy but funny) The few I've watched on HBO I watched in past few months Band of Brothers Boardwalk Empire I love on demand. I watched Sopranos & SATC as they aired & don't think I can watch again, especially the latter. John Adams (if you haven't seen it) The only reason I keep cable is for on demand. Carol, I haven't been hitting the library of late so I'm rereading (sometimes re-re-rereading) various history books on my shelves. I can't stand cable 'news', any of 'em.
Only 4-1/2 hours 'til QPR vs. Tottenham and at 12 is the FA Cup with Aston Villa vs. West Brom. I love the FA Cup tournament, there's no other like it. All clubs in England and Wales can enter. One FA Cup match recently had mighty Man United vs. Bradford Town, a separation of about 70 spots between the two, with Bradford Town something like 4 or 5 leagues lower than the top flight. It'd be like the Staten Island Yankees playing the St. Louis Cardinals for reelz, not just a tune-up. There are even the occasional 'Joe's Bar and Grill' teams vs. established 'name' clubs. For those guys, such games are their World Cup, with potential top tier contracts up for grabs. Love my football, the round one. I'll take the Barclay's Premier League over cable news gibberish and hogwash any Saturday/Sunday/Monday, and sometimes Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday (depending on holidays). Most of the Patton bios I've read go for the latter, which is unfair to GSP. But understandable, I guess...so many writers are PC liberals.
