Good Morning Morons. Today is Friday, March 06, 2015. On this day in 2014 the news was that unidicted felon Eric Holder's corrupt DOJ had started a civil suit against the Philadelphia school district for religious discrimination against a muzzie who had been told to trim his beard to meet the school's dress code (or else). Funny how Eric "The Felon" Holder never had a case of religious discrimination against Christians or Jews. Anyway by September the school district had caved to his bullshit lawfare.

239 House members (Republicans and some Democrats) have sent a strongly worded letter to the ATF about Obama's illegal .223 green tip ammo ban. How about defund the SOBs you chicken shits. Obama's response via his propaganda arm: We are looking at additional ways to protect our brave men and women in law enforcement. This seems to be an area where everyone should agree that if there are armor-piercing bullets available that can fit into easily concealed weapons, that it puts our law enforcement at considerably more risk. Note that law enforcement has already said that these bullets do not increase the risk to police. IOW, this is a blatant lie. Defund the ATF. http://fxn.ws/1wZE1HF Posted by: Vic at March 06, 2015 06:38 AM (wlDny) 24

Yes, exactly. The GOP has its roots in progressivism as well. They too believe in a powerful central government. The only difference is that they believe they are better at running it than the Dems. Goldwater and Reagan were total flukes. The dry rot has eaten through to the vitals ever since 1913. The Reagan years halted it for nearly a quarter century. Imagine what he could have done if he had the backing of most if not all of his party? Well, the GOP is finished. It is equally a part of the problem as are the Democrats. The question is can we take back the GOP or is a 3rd party viable, and if so when? Also, if we have a 3rd party can we attract disaffected Democrats (not leftists)? Questions, questions. Just barely. I used to be able to walk 2.5 miles in a half hour so it could be done. 5 hours => 7 miles and hour, 3.5 miles in a half hour. Depends a lot on how rough or straight the route is. But I think these walking to work stories are made up anyways. And not because it can't be done but because there's no rationale for them to do it. Plus walk 10 hrs a day and then work so there's 18 hours minimum that leaves only 6 hours to sleep and do anything else you need to do. Maybe for a few days but not day after day. Vic: "I just wish everybody would quit with the damn auto-play videos."
On the old XP desktop, I still run Opera 12 browser. I have toolbar buttons to quickly toggle javascript, plug-ins, and cookies on/off. As a rule, these are always off. Without those on, you don't get pop-ups or auto-play. On frequently-visited sites, I can set up preferences to have some or all of that stuff on regardless. Old Opera v12 has become unusable on some sites, though. Like XP and the box it's in, O12 is increasingly an anachronism. Although I have tried various post-v12 Chrome-ized Opera browsers on my and milady's tablets and cells, I have not found a similarly easy way to toggle the activities or set individual site preferences, and I run with all the vulnerabilities open. So, yeah, hate the auto-run videos. Especially sidebar ads that shout at me. Posted by: mindful webworker - rattling on at March 06, 2015 07:33 AM (439Zu) 175

I'm running version 37 Firefox and with a couple strategic addons, I do exactly what you do but with the added deal of getting the better security and not getting dumped by a site cause of the age of the browser. But honestly, a third party these days? I suspect it would be like Reagan's old joke about what would happen if China had a second party... it would revert to being a one-party state because everyone with any sense would abandon the existing one.
I think a third party that talks common sense and doesn't piss too many people off really has a shot at drawing - while not a majority - a large enough minority to be a legitimate challenge in or even win a three-way race. I also think that within 2-3 election cycles, the Republicans as the Democrat Party (Part 2) would be revealed as the complete sham they've become and fade into history. Re the new postal service trucks - On Wednesday I noticed a U-Haul van pull up next to my community mail box. The driver's door opened and a mail carrier got out, opened the side door, sorted the mail and then stuffed it in our mailboxes. So I guess the Post Office really needs new trucks because they're using rental vans in my neighborhood.

So how do you explain Obama, at least the last election?
Posted by: J.J. Sefton at March 06, 2015 07:55 AM (CMkNk) They won by smearing Romney, and they did an effective enough job at demonizing him that Democrat constituencies thought the world was going to end and we'd have a Mormon Spanish Inquisition if he won. Or some shit like that. The threat of him winning kept them united, even the ones who weren't thrilled with Obama. The same "Lesser Evil" stuff that works against us works against them. Suppose Hillary's new scandals led to the Left's juggernaut completely falling apart. What would we do? Would we just hand Boehner the Presidency and go "Yay, team?" No, we'd probably still be trying to get rid off his ass. They're like the amoral, twisted, wannabe-ruler mirror universe version of us. If they didn't think we posed a real threat, they'd be on an ideological purity kick. They'd be going "what's wrong with you Democrats? Does Hillary!'s brother bring ANYTHING to the table on this gold mine deal? Technical expertise in mining, a history of managing projects, startup money from his own pockets, connections other than his sister, assembled crews and equipment?
Or is he just a front man selling his sister's influence to some shadowy Dem opportunist Halliburton? Does Haiti actually share in the profits of this thing? Do the toxic wastes and tailings from these mines get safe handling, or are they just spread out over the already poisoned and de-fertilized Haitian landscape? Are the tunnel miners earning a liveable wage? And is there any actual gold in Haiti in the first place, or is this a San Sebastian fraud all the way down? Well we will see how this all goes and how much actual fight there is out there once white people start getting pushed out of the political process and marginalized.
As the Latino population swells and they form alliances. I don't know if it's the same in all states, but if you become a precinct captain in Texas you go to the state convention. At said convention, you can bring up ideas that you would like to see the national party adopt. I would like to see the state parties adopt term limits for Congress by limiting them to two 90 day sessions with a break in between each session.

Meanwhile the Bureau of Lies and Scams is reporting that FEB payrolls "surged" by +295K on expectations of +235K. Yet average hourly wages were up a pathetic 0.1% and the labor participation rate dropped, again, this time to 62.8%.
So more waitstaff, busboy and fast-food jobs while wages for everyone else fortunate to still have a job a flat, all while we're still at levels of labor participation we've not seen since the early 70's. >>Accusing cops in general of racism will not endear police to Obama. Why
do so many cops vote Dem? The base hates cops but the Dem leadership suck up to the unions and photo-ops for the LIV's. Obama and Holder are completely blowing that delicate balance. So are local city officials like de Blasio and the Mayor here in Denver. I know that our governor's and Dem politician's brazen gun grab has already turned a lot of CO sheriff's against them, but with all the Ferguson protests our city cops are now seeing who these guys side with (hint: not the cops). Which reminds me - any updates on the whole rift between de Blasio and the cops? Have things dies down or is it just not getting coverage. Because even though Holder has been unable to find anyone to nail for the Michale Brown killing, he and Obama (and Sharpton) did manage to get two NYC cops killed. And I still wonder where the server(s) were physically located - having them in her house not only is a security risk in terms of accessibility, it puts them at risk for other sorts of things like flooding, fire, extreme temperatures (if power goes out), etc. That's why companies that store proprietary data contract w/facilities that specialize in totes secure buildings with temp control, fire prevention, locked cages, heavy 24/7 security team, etc. Posted by: Lizzy at March 06, 2015 09:30 AM (lHHyw) 445

>>What on earth does Hillary do with all her money? She sure ain't spending it on a fashion consultant.
I don't think she'll ever believe she has enough. Here's just one example: After Hillary was elected to the Senate she bought herself a huge mansion in DC (spent around $7 million for IIRC). This was after the funny business loan she an Bill had taken from the now VA governor (forget his name) to buy the Chappaqua home. However, she could now afford her DC house because she had gotten that huge (record) advance for her biography. And what did Hillary do after purchasing that mansion? She registered for furnishings - furniture, rugs, everything she needed - and asked her friends and supporters to furnish her new home. Oh, and please do so before I'm sworn in to the Senate so that she won't have to report these gifts. Greedy. Entitled. Posted by: Lizzy at March 06, 2015 09:39 AM (lHHyw) 467

In addition to the applause addition, Obama doesn't like to work; he likes to campaign, and this is the closest thing to it he can get, along w/his stupid meals with letter writers.
He has people like ValJar doing the actual work (so his presence isn't required except for the speech stuff). I would also bet that he just hates being in the Oval office, not only because it's boring, but because deep down he knows that men much greater than himself have occupied it. At least I hope so... The press has a hard-on for royalty. They want a King they can stalk and suck up to, like the UK press does with theirs. They've been trying to substitute celebrities for nobility for years, but they want the real thing.
It's not "the press" though in the relevant Venn diagram, there's a whole lot of overlap. It's Progressives. Because nobility keeps things neat. Progressives *need* a class based society. If "all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights" then most of their crap doesn't sell. For a long time, class based on wealth worked. But then nasty stories about people who grew up poor became rich kept getting out, and undermined that argument. Then, for a long time, class based on race worked. But (despite the JEF's best efforts) most of our society is now fairly heterogeneous- which undermines that argument. (Neither has completely gone away, of course, but even LIVs recognize that, for the most part, institutional racism is a thing of the past, and (again: for the most part) the biggest thing holding down "the poor" is *not* some massive conspiracy among the rich). So... nobility. They want class based on birth again. Because as long as we're a class-based society, you can always gin up hatred and fear between any two or more classes. I'd also say that a class-based society gives wanna-be's an "in" group to belong to. The power to Other-ize also has a "be one of Us" side. The media wants to be part of an Us - as do all the wanna-be pundits, consultants, aides, lobbyists.
