63 This Thursday is Read Across America day. Parents are invited to our local PC dominated elementary school that has also been overrun by children of illegal aliens to read a book to kids. We can bring our own or one will be assigned. I was thinking one of Rush Limbaugs books but that might too much and get me thrown out. I was thinking some children history that does not involve Martin Luther King or George Washington Carver. (Some kids there don't even know there is another George Washington) This should be interesting. Unfortunately, I fully expect whatever I bring will be not be permitted and I will be given some Dr. Seuss or some global warming alarmism (i.e science) to read.

The problem is not the Republican Party is eternal minority party. That will not happen again. They also support illegal immigration to fatten the gains the party could make by pursuing more liberal (i.e. the leaderships prefered) policies.

If the electorate changes in a more banana-republican, progressive direction, the Republican Party will adjust accordingly. The loser here and the one with the problem will be the conservative movement, not the Republican Party.

The deal with this move in the DHS bill is how they are going to give all illegals interest free home loans AND BONUS plant them in neighborhoods to do things very similar to the Stasi. I wonder if the next outrage is going to be a release of not just the blind sheikh but shit tons of criminals. Why not, look at GITMO.

I fear your answer is pretty close to the mark. The Establishment Party has perfected the Liberal Wing and Pseudo-Non-Liberal Wing appearance and once inside the beltway, they all get their snouts deep into the trough. It just seems that while the short term graft and privilege is pretty sweet, even the near term societal system appears unstable (just look at Drudge any day), and the long term society is so obviously unstable yet they continue to play with fire.

I wouldn't mind them risking their lives, but instead the DC Establishment GOP are risking mine, yours, and our kids lives!

Nowata is my neighboring county. Commuting distance to Tulsa and outlying urbs. These are counties with populations that are predicted to decline or (as with Nowata) remain the same.

Maybe by five years, we'll have eliminated the state income tax altogether (they're talking about it).

They view negotiation as just a way of delay. As long as nothing gets resolved, they get what they want, so they just keep dragging it out.

There will be no agreement that means anything, and it will be violated immediately, and Iran will keep moving toward the bomb as long as they are able to.

Indeed. Yet a clever commander, after realizing they are dealing with superstitious people who consider their Caesar to be a "god", simply drain the tanks of the majority of his tanks, trucks, etc., and take Rome with two tanks and a couple of Hummers and a fuel truck, with cover provided by one helicopter gunship.
Conserving fuel and ammo for just a few vehicles and asking the majority of Marines to march rather than ride would almost certainly result in Augustus' legions being destroyed, and Caesar deposed pretty quickly.
Of course, after Rome fell, and the Romans realized that the Marines were just a bunch of kids who like to get shitfaced and screw hookers on their off time, just like the legionnaires, would probably result in a pretty short "occupation".
