Shock: Terrorist-Friendly Islamic Society of Boston on List of Obama's Honored Guests for Alleged Summit on "Extremism"

Well I guess they'd be the ones to know, eh?

You probably also heard that the will only say they are discussing "extremism," and specifically will not mention the words radical or Islamic in any combination with "terrorism."

As one critic says, their only ambition seems to be to build a better #Hashtag.

Because, White Privilege.

Lotta bad things happened as a result of Colonialism. But, without Colonialism and the influence of the High-Horsed Christianists, literal human slavery would be much more widespread than it is today. Just to mention one minor positive benefit. Pay no attention to the fact that the Americas and Africa probably wouldn't have any electricity, many buildings not made out of reeds or mud, any clean water, pharmaceutical-based medicine, etc, etc.

So yeah, White Privilege = all bad. 'Cuz the Dark Ages were really awesome. Y'all just aren't remembering it right.

The official continued: "Really at the core of our approach is that the government does not have all the answers in combatting violent extremism. It is, at its core, a bottom-up approach. It puts communities with civic leaders, with religious authorities, with community power brokers, teachers, health providers, et cetera, in the driver's seat. They know their citizens best. They are the first line of defense to prevent or counter radicalizing forces that can ultimately lead to violence. And so our approach is to really embrace and empower what local communities can do."

So it's official. We're going to Social Justice Warrior ourselves to death.

And you can tell from reading that who they're *really* concerned about "turning violent." It's not Mohammedanism (which has already turned violent). It's not gangs (same thing).

They want to prevent you and me from turning violent. And, at the bottom, it's because they know once we finally say "enough" (assuming there are enough of us left), their day will be over.

The United States does not support Egyptian and Emirati airstrikes against Islamist militias in Libya because the U.S. believes the crisis in Libya must be resolved politically and without outside interference, a Department of Defense spokesman said Tuesday.

Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) carrying out airstrikes in Libya was different from U.S. airstrikes against Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant forces in Iraq, Pentagon spokesman Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby told a briefing, because the U.S. was acting in Iraq, in a "very targeted" manner, at the request of its government.

"This wasn't some unilateral decision by the United States to strike targets inside Iraq."

"We discourage other nations from taking a part in Libya's issues through violence," Kirby said. "We want the issues solved in Libya to be done peacefully and through good governance and politics and not violence."

The Scientologists followed this same basic playbook. The Federal government went after them tooth and nail for tax evasion. In the meanwhile the Scientologists were either recruiting or placing people all over gov't agencies. IRS, FBI, ATF, DOJ, everywhere. They were actually able to halt the investigations using these resources.

I don't know if Muslims noticed this, or if they are just following their old playbook of integrate and overwhelm, but either way, they seem to be well-placed enough now to have the same effect.

Think your friend or son or cousin may be interested in joining the Islamic State? Don't call the cops. At least, not if you're in Minnesota.
A new strategy that will be tested out in the Twin Cities of Minnesota this fall uses a "community intervention team" of religious and business leaders to respond to concerns of radicalization - not law enforcement.

The nascent plan is one of many experiments supported by the federal government's Countering Violent Extremism strategy. Leaders from the federal program's three pilot cities - Boston, Los Angeles and the Twin Cities - are meeting for a three-day summit at the White House this week to discuss how best to fight back against the Islamic State (also known as ISIS and ISIL) and other terror networks' increasingly sophisticated recruiting techniques.

218 Obama is easy to predict. Standard campus leftist.

The White Male is the uber-evil. Usually also Christian and straight. The more a group is not White, Male, Christian, and Hetero -- the more the Left supports its.

This is why they get confused on Boko Haram kiling folks in Nigeria. Both group are black - so that's good. But the side getting butchered are the Christians, which is the Whiter religion compared to Islam. So they naturally want to support the Muslims, but they are psychotically butchering the black Christians.

The Left picks side by trying to slot one side into the Evil White Male category -- when it can't it just stumbles away in a confused daze.

Given that the administration is filled up with soft science, grievance group studies and humanities majors, such an exercise would probably be beyond them but they could contract it out.

Just how much killing would it take? What resources would it take to do the killing? How much would it cost? I seriously doubt that there have been any rigorous studies of the issue.

My personal take is that the hardest part of dealing with ISIS, al Qaeda or any other terrorist group is gathering good intelligence as to who is a member of the terrorist group and where they are located. The difficulty of getting good intelligence goes up with the precision of knowledge as to who and where. Fortunately, we have a wide range of weapons that can be used according to how precise our knowledge of the terrorists. If we know precisely who, where and when, we can take out a terrorist with a silenced .22 pistol. On the other hand, we have weapons that can eliminate an entire zip code if that is the limit of our knowledge of who, where and when. The limit in that case is simply the willingness to accept collateral damage.

277 Difference Between Kosher and Halal

First of all lets see the difference in slaughtering of animals in kosher and halal. Though the slaughtering is the same, Jews, who follow kosher, do not pronounce the name of God on each animal they slaughter. They think that it is wasteful to utter the name of god out of context. They only perform prayers on the first and last animal that they slaughter. Muslims who follow halal rituals always pronounce the name of God on each animal that is slaughtered.

According to halal, any adult sane Muslim can perform the slaughtering of animals. But kosher only allows one kind of Rabbi, called the Sachet, to slaughter animals. The Sachet is specially trained for slaughtering and no other Jew can perform this task.

Muslims consider the entire cattle or sheep as Halal if they are duly slaughtered. Jews on the other hand consider the fore quarter of cattle or sheep as Kosher and the hindquarter are considered non-Kosher.

While Islam law considers meat of rabbit, wild hens, shellfish, duck and goose as halal, it is not considered fit to eat according to kosher laws.

Muslims look out for source of enzymes before having them. If it comes from a non-Halal animal, it is prohibited for a Muslim. But kosher has no difference as per enzymes are considered. The Jews consider all Enzymes, even from non-Kosher animals, as Kosher.

According to halal law, all intoxicating alcohols, wines, liquors and drugs are prohibited. Where as kosher law allows all wines.

While in kosher foods, dairy and meat cannot be mixed and it is entirely prohibited, Halal permits the mixing of the two.

Right now, even with a Republican majority, it would take Democratic votes in the Senate to come up with the votes required to remove Obama from office using the impeachment mechanism. Unless and until those Dem votes are no longer needed, impeachment is off the table since going forward now would only give the Democratic Party exactly what it wants: a politically suicidal Republican banzai charge on national television and social media.

386 What is the solution for ISIS? If that organization is destroyed, Iran will fill the void with its Shiite clients. Does anyone have a realistic and good solution?

Yes.

Burn it down.
Scatter the stones.
Salt the earth where it stood.

I don't see why people have trouble grasping this, but I'll explain.

Burn it down = kill them. You don't necessarily *have* to kill them all, but you absolutely must be *willing* to kill them all.

Scatter the stones = destroy everything they hold dear. Kill/imprison their leaders' families. Destroy 'their' cities. Kill their goats.

Salt the earth where it stood = make sure everyone knows that you're both willing and able to do it again with the next jerk who comes down the line.

Absolutely destroy ISIS and make it clear that you'll do it as often as needed. That will provide sufficient motivation for most people to remain peaceful, and isolate those who won't.

Interesting question. You've framed it as though we have to deal with the 'repeal and replace' crap.

ISIS is currently blowing hot, taking up land and killing people in record numbers. It's attracting recruits from around the world.
There is a great possibility that there is NO 'good' solution in the ME. George W. Bush hoped to create another stable nation that might improve the general situation Iraq), while preventing Iran from going nuclear.

Any benefit generated has been flushed, with the bonus of JEF screwing with Egypt and Libya. And thus Mali. And Yemen.

Catching on? Stability seems to be the best way to discourage the free-lance butchery. None of these nations are 'nice'. But they were all relatively speaking, worlds above and beyond al qeada, ISIS, wahabbism, taliban etc. All of them thrive in chaos (see Lebanon).

People go along with ISIS (and I mean feckless western 'leaders' as much as the locals) because they fear ISIS. At least in the case of the locals, the answer is to make them fear us more.

An Iran which is afraid that it will be next is not an Iran that I care if they "control" the ME.

This is the key behind "Peace through Strength." If the bad guys know that the full might of the United States of America is going to rain down destruction upon them if they piss us off, they'll be much less likely to piss us off.

446 ISIS has smashed the Shiite crescent that Iran has been building for a decade. The best answer is to let Iran and ISIS kill each other. Right now we as assisting Iran against ISIS and the result will not be good.

Look at the map, ISIS has smashed the Shiite crescent stretching from Iran to Lebanon. If not for US bombings, ISIS would have been in Baghdad and Damascus overthrowing Iran's puppets. Instead, we are helping Iran. This is a very bad move.

450 ISIS is evil, but they are a bulwark against Iranian domination of the Middle East. Posted by: Todd B

There's no proof of this. It came out of the chaos in Syria, and spilled over into Iraq when the divisions between Sunnis and shiites flared back up. It's currently expanding into operations against Jordan and Libya.

All this amounts to a new, strong horse taking advantage of chaos. I haven't seen any evidence of this gang of butchers being a countervaling force to Iran. Indeed, they're making the iraqi government move closer to Iran.

Iran is playing Fredo like a fine Fidel. And how do you let ISIS AND IRAN kill each other without it spreading? Ya gonna give ISIS a nuclear bomb?

This is a repeat of the Iran Iraq war where Iran lost a million people to Saddam's army and poison gas.

There is one difference. ISIS is a wild card. No one is really in charge.

Iraq had a leader, Saddam.

You keep looking around and the one constant?

The Saudi are financing all of this.

Iran does not fear the US. If ISIS is smashed, Iran will control Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. That is not a good result either.

I can understand the JEF doing this. After all, like the scorpion in the fable, it's his nature to do so.

But why are the Democrats going along with this? Has every single person in the party been borged by the radical Left? Do none have the nerve to speak up and denounce this? So it seems ...

Resources Iran puts into fighting ISIS are resources not put in their nuke program. ISIS is the first military force to threaten Iranian interests. Your view of the mideast is not realistic and based on naïveté that Iran is rational.

465 Ethnic "off-cuts" are pretty damned expensive, usually. When [we] come from [Old Country], we are used to eating whatever the cheapest peasant fare there is. As we start to do better, we begin to cherish those ethnic peasant dishes on Festival Days as a reminder of Where We Came From. As we get rich, we start looking for versions of them that aren't crawling with vermin. The peasant fare becomes very expensive. Showily expensive. Then we lose our virtue.

So, all Greek recipes begin with "First you steal a goat." Hungarian recipes are "First you steal a cabbage." And German? "First you steal a country."

Honestly people, those gut sections you won't touch? NordEuros took that same gut, more or less (depending on how Far Nord) scrape it clean, and cram it full of fatty throwaway bits. This is haute cuisine, known as "charcuterie." It's why the Germans have a shelf in their toilets.

468 "According to halal law, all intoxicating alcohols, wines, liquors and
drugs are prohibited. Where as kosher law allows all wines."

I am not sure about the drugs being haram. I have read a number of accounts of Muslims smoking marijuana, hashish and opium claiming that they are OK while liquor is forbidden. I also seem to recall some claim that since vodka is made from potatoes, it is not fermented from fruits or grain and fits through a loophole. I suppose by that standard, rum would be OK as well.
